Not good experience

Offered me £115 for my device, I put it as "broken" as I had few tiny scratches on screen, besides from that the phone was perfect.

They said the battery had to be 85% health.

When they received the phone they said the battery was 84% health and reduced the offer to £60, a £55 reduction over 1% health difference!

I declined the offer, a few days later they offered £80, I accepted to save drama. They said I'd be paid same day.

The next day i emailed them as didn't get paid. They said my phone has been refused and would be sent back.

I asked why as we already agreed an offer and they emailed back and said they no longer trade mobiles.

It was a huge mess around and I was anxious about whether I would get my phone back or not.

But I did get my phone back free-post the following day, and the condition is the same as when I sent it.

Personally, I wouldn't trade with them again.

I sold another phone to Meelie and had a great experience.

Just sold my iphone to envirofone, no issues :)

Wasnt expecting to get as much as I did!

Sent my phone in this week - slightly broken screen. Wont lie, was quite nervous as loads of recent reviews complaining that they didn't get what they were quoted as the phone was reassessed and revalued, but genuinely got the £250 they initially quoted this morning.

Some of the reviews paint a bad experience, which I did actually expect (read the reviews after i'd accepted and sent off), but was pleasantly suprised. Great service, super quick payment!

Very low revised offers once they receive devices

I don't ever leave bad reviews but after an initial valuation of £107 for a phone which I had already claimed as broken, Gr8 sent me an email upon receiving my phone, revising their offer for my iPhone 11 to £14. Yes, £14. After rejecting this, I got an email saying they could increase it to £24. When I said their offers were incredibly low, they had the audacity to charge me £9 for me to get my phone back. Avoid.

Left a bitter taste and felt scammed

Whilst I declared everything possible about the 3 phones to sell was quoted £180, one phone in particular lived its life in a case and screen protector and in my opinion in extremely good condition, another was quoted at £40 and was reduced by 95%!

I was truly amazed at the faults found - "camera not working" or "mic not working" and clearly something very odd here as they were fine for me.

Overall I got £60 and felt completely scammed and should have gone to the mainstream buyers, I suggest you do too.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Shocking.

Offered me money for a phone that had a small crack in the screen. They offered me a fair amount for the condition but then when they received the phone, they quoted me over 80% less that what they originally stated! The fault report I was sent was a load of nonsense. It seems they give you a fair offer so you send your phone to them, then they lowball you with a shocking offer in the hope you can’t be bothered and accept. They then charge you £8.95 for the pleasure of getting your phone back and refuse to send it back unless this is paid! Genuinely mental.

Then to make matters worse, when the phone is sent back to me, they sent it back to me in some generic box! When I queried this they stated that they had destroyed the original box and tough luck! DO NOT USE THIS CONPANY. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid!! Quote you a price and knock you down when receiving your phone, even when quoting as a broken phone. Then wish to charge £9 to return the device

Avoid

So you tell them that your phone is broken and they offer you over £100. They then inspect your phone and tell you it's broken (yup, thanks I told you that) and offer £18. That seems like a pretty shady business model if you ask me. They will bump the price up by a tenner if you reject their original offer, and then charge you £9 for returning your phone. Never had a problem recycling a phone before. There are plenty of established companies offering reasonable prices, so my advice is to avoid this lot.

Terrible

Terrible experience. Offered the best price for a broken iPhone 11. Picked this as the safe option as battery below 80%. They checked it and claimed an issue with the microphone quality(!!) and reduced offer from £98 to £31 which I have of course declined and they want £8.95 to send it back to me. Will never use this company again. Update - I have then sent off to UR Mobile and received full price after quality checks…..and more than originally offered by GR8.

Do not trust

Offered £200 for my iPhone 13 Pro which has a crack in the screen - this was the average offered by the majority of comparison sites and Gr8 Mobile had the highest reviews so I went with them. Only for them to receive my device and offer me £84 as a revised offer, claiming there are ‘dots’ on the back camera. I took extensive photos of the mobile device from every angle and took photos on the iPhone 13 Pro (as recommended by the comparison site) and no issues other than the cracked screen (in the bottom left corner of the device) that was advertised when I was offered the £200. The device has been in full working order and only being sold because I got an upgrade as my contract came to an end. The camera has been in full function and can be proved by photos I took from the device in the weeks and days leading up to the phone coming to GR8 Mobile. Either they’ve caused damage themselves to minimise the amount they’ve had to pay, or they’re having me on thinking I will accept the revised offer and they’ve got a phone and lost hardly any money. And when sending back an email to send me my phone back as there is nothing wrong with it, I’ve not had a response. I wouldn’t trust this company, they’re probably great if your device is in perfect condition, but if you’ve sold as broken, they’re going to do anything they can to get your offer down. Send me my phone back so I can sell it - and if there is any damage to the camera now, best believe I’ll be going through trading standards with all the evidence I have

Lost phone

Offered me the best price, sent the phone to them in GR8 condition, they then dropped there price by £200+ saying there was issues with the phone. I rejected there price and asked them to send the phone back. This was in Januay, its now May and i still dont have my phone returned! They are blaming tne post office, i went to the post office and tbey have given me proof the phone is with them! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, OFFER BEST PRICES THEN STING YOU ONCE THEY HAVE THE PHONE!! Unhelpful on the other end of emails, keep dismissing me! Should have used the company I have always used.

RIPPED OFF!

I recently sent a phone in , was quoted £28, chose the correct condition, was told they would inform me if they were to pay a lower amount with the option to return it to myself, a few days later I received £1.00 into my account, I emailed to complain and nobody has bothered to reply, I normally use envirophone or mazooma mobile, but thought I would try these guys, needless to say I will not be using them again!!

What a joke and scam - company honoured after a 1* review was left

Was offered £95 for a broken iPhone 11. Item was received by gr8 mobile, they then had to the cheek to offer £13.50 as there was a bleed on the screen. I selected all the correct options, I rejected the offer and then they increased offer to £24 “after speaking to their manager”! I rejected the offer and said to send the phone back as I have had another offer. Then they had the cheek to say I need to pay £8.95 to get the phone returned. Absolutely not! Return my phone and log my complaint.
Update:
Spoke to someone after I logged this review, they said they will honour price if I change my review! It’s a shame I had a leave a 1* review to get their attention to honour their initial offer.
