15-page Transcript was delivered same day. Results were accurate. Research was clearly done to obtain names and locations.

Eventually I received my translated document, however, it was not without frustration. On the date the document was due, I received an e-mail stating that the word count was higher than expected and we owed another $141.00. The issue is, when first submitting a document for translation, it is scanned by GoTranscript, a word count is determined, and a price for translation is produced. Once that price is paid, there should never be a reason to come back to a customer to charge more for a document they have already paid for. If the process for determining the cost of translating a document is insufficient, then it is that process that needs to be addressed. An error on the side of GoTranscript should not result in an additional cost to their customer. The account manager was defensive in her communications and responded as if personally offended that I was unwilling to adhere to the additional charges. The unprofessionalism was inappropriate.

Everything funktions, and I got my transcriptions very fast.

I have passed the test of 3rd April and got the confirmation email on 5th April. And after entering their site I saw that only Two jobs are available their durations are 10 minutes and they are paying only $0.12 each of them. So, in total they are paying $0.24 per day or Rs. 19.66/- per day😢😢. They are kidding us. They are giving us less than Rs. 20/- for transcribing more than 20 minutes audio. And no more works are available😢😢.

Started off great, then got shady especially the affiliate program. I won't recommend it to anyone not until they fix it

We recently utilized the services of GoTranscript to translate an academic research survey into four languages, and the outcome was concerning. Upon reviewing the translations, we discovered that two of the languages had significantly different text compared to the original survey and also had contradictory meanings. When we contacted the sales representative at GoTranscript to request an improvement to the translations, she informed us that the translators they work with are unwilling to make any changes. Despite our concerns and the lack of acceptable translations, the sales representative refused to issue a refund. This experience was disappointing, and we will need to explore other options for our translation needs in the future.

Our first 3 transcripts have turned out great. We got them much sooner than we expected. And the website should be a model for all of us - it is so easy to use.

After I ordered the first 2 transcripts, I realized I could get Captions for the videos at the same time. So I did that for the third video. I got the transcript and the Closed Caption file just as quickly and they were also very accurate.

I need the transcripts of our company founder for a book I am writing. I cannot even imagine how long it would take for me to transcribe the material. This is a fabulous service and I plan to order a lot more work from them.

Extremely accurate and a faster turn around than I was expecting

The test to become a transcriber needs improving. I undertook the practice test that, once completed, gives you feedback as to where you went wrong. I failed because I typed "et cetera." rather than "etc." I have always used "etc." in my own writing, but decided to use "et cetera" in this practice test because the guidelines themselves use "et cetera". I thought using "et cetera" rather than "etc" was strange but if the GoTranscript authors used it this way in the guidelines then I figured that is the form they prefer for the transcription.

Also, there is a part of the practice test where it says "Yes, call me b****." You can see here that the speaker has omitted the "a" as it is meant to be "Yes, call me a b****." The guidelines clearly state that you should not correct the speaker's grammar mistakes and therefore you should transcribe the mistake. I did this but I was wrong once again- my feedback said I must include the "a". In my mind this is correcting a grammar mistake which the guidelines explicitly tell you not to do.

There are many more examples like this. Maybe I am misunderstanding the rules as I am far from being a good writer/transcriber, in which case please let me know, but many things did not make sense to me.

This was my first time using the service and I will continue to in the future. I have very rarely posted reviews for anything, but this service was exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend Go Transcript to colleagues in need of translation and transcription.

GoTranscript did a great job of transcribing three .mp4 files. They were able to decipher some areas of hard to understand voices as well as the technical terms used. Had a problem with the transmission of the original files to them (two were over 3 GB in size), but they were very cooperative in figuring out how to get the the files to them via an alternate method. My advice is to send them as small a file as you can (by degrading the video quality). The smaller files do not adversely affect the audio.

The words hadn't flowed from his fingers for the past few weeks. He never imagined he'd find himself with writer's block, but here he sat with a blank screen in front of him. That blank screen taunting him day after day had started to play with his mind. He didn't understand why he couldn't even type a single word, just one to begin the process and build from there. And yet, he already knew that the eight hours he was prepared to sit in front of his computer today would end with the screen remaining blank.
