I wouldn't even give this company a star.
Submitted a complaint and they have still not responded yet I know they are going into administration so will not respond to anyone. The phone lines are no longer working.
How does this company get away with this. Why does the financial ombudsman not do anything. But when customers miss payments they get taken to court.
Not a good experience ! All i have to say is thank you, Definitely not to Fund ourselves but to TREATY, Hassle free and good pay
I reported them to ombudsman who took my case. But like another has mentioned they have emailed me saying they may be going into liquidation. Can see they were in court today about the matter as HMRC issued then a winding up order. Can kiss goodbye to the £970 refund I’m due. Be lucky to get anything close to that back once it’s confirmed they gone into liquidation.
Need reporting to FCA.
They are following the rules.
Do not touch them do not pay them back as they are crooks
Finally a response from the complaints team.. They owe £180 refund. They told me within 14 working days and then that elapsed and they completely stopped communicating with me or emailing back. They’ve now issued this as their response “ Good morning.
We previously wrote to you with regards to your complaint, where we offered redress.
Unfortunately, we are experiencing a cash shortfall issue, and at this stage, we are unable to process your refund. We are working hard to rectify the problem.
If Fund Ourselves Limited is unable to rectify the issue, we may be insolvent; you will be contacted separately if this occurs.
We are actively working to resolve this issue and expect to be able to provide an update soon.
What would insolvency mean for you?
When a business declares insolvency, it’s because they cannot pay off their debts and cannot continue functioning as a business. An insolvency practitioner will be appointed and it’s their job to identify if there is a viable plan for recovery, and/or to liquidate the business by selling off assets and settling debts to the best of their ability.
If Fund Ourselves Limited becomes insolvent, you would be treated as an unsecured creditor in respect of the refund owed to you. Please note that there is no certainty as to when, or even if, the refund will be recovered”
Dreadful
Now over 2 months overdue for my refund and communication has ceased to exist, what an absolute farce of a company
Easy site to navigate..
Prompt..
The site has all the Info u need
Have you gone into administration? At least have the decency to let your customers know.
Like others have said, I also made an affordability complaint, they waited until the last day of 8 weeks to partially uphold.
I accepted, they said it would be paid in a max of 10 working days, I'm now on 14 working days and now they are not responding to my emails.
County court claim it is.
Would give 0 if I could.
Made an unaffordability complaint, they responded on the last day of the 8 week time limit and offered a partially uphold my complaint. I accepted and was quickly told that my refund would be in my account in up to 10 working days, we are now at day 15 if I omit Easter bank holidays, they are now to answering my calls or emails. Con artists! If they don’t intent to pay up then they shouldn’t uphold (partially or in full) complaints made.
Worst level of customer service I have experienced in my 34 years on this planet.
Filed a complaint for unfair lending, complaint was upheld with refund agreed but now I cannot get in contact with them despite the timeframe going significantly past the agreed 10 working days.
The customer service team are the only people you can speak to on the phone and they are horrendous, any replies to my countless emails are completely pointless and just telling me they've been forwarded to the correct department, whilst i'm getting no replies from the complaints email address.
I'm losing my mind, I just want the refund and to move on with my life.
So I opened a loan in October of 2023 and it was relatively easy and fast which was super helpful. That's about all of the nice things I can say as closing the account has been a several month long affair and its STILL ongoing.
I paid off the loan on January 28th 2025. I noticed on the 28th February my account was still showing as defaulted so I forwarded them the proof it was paid to get the account closed. They took over a week to get back to me and confirmed they had closed it which I verified by logging into my portal. It was closed and I thought this was the end of it. It Wasn't.
I've been having issues getting my credit report up and today I found out way. Almost 2 months after I closed my account and almost over a month when it was closed with them, they are still actively reporting my account as missing payments to Transunion and credit agencies and tanking my score. After I was ASSURED my account was closed. Transunion won't let me report it because they are still ACTIVELY telling them I haven't paid and am behind on payments.
Because they have not done their due diligence my credit score is through the floor and half way to the underworld and it has prevented me from getting a property that suits my accessibility needs (I am disabled) and has caused more headaches and heartache than is EVER necessary over a few hundred pound loan.
If they had just reported it, LIKE THEY'RE MEANT TO, this whole mess could've been avoided. They could not get complaints and emails chasing them and I could get on with my life. But because they have not updated their systems accordingly were all in this sinking ship.
I hope this gets finished soon as I can't deal with this for much longer without taking this higher than the company.
Do better.
This is the worst Finance service I've ever used.
I strongly recommend against using this service, both as a borrower and as a lender.
I am asking for the money I have put in their ISA back and they are refusing to give it back.
Avoid this service at all costs.
Bad experience I would advice to avoid completely
Although they explained on Jan 14th that they were overworked and could not pay out this so called refund they are still not answering any of the simple questions asked through the help line, where is this supposed overpayment on a loan coming from, when is it due and how much is it? but most important why ask for any bank details if you already have them or know who I was? It all points to a scam BEWARE
Easy to use, great support, and very good dashboard with clear data to keep control on the loan. Happy to recommend!
This company sent an email in December claiming that I am owed a refund for interest that was overcharged.
And I believed it because they charged more than twice the total loan amount on a very small loan.
Then I was asked to send my bank statement via an email in order to get the refund, although I already confirmed the information they needed via a link in a previous (not very secure, I don't know who is on the other end of the computer looking at all my personal information)
However I did send it anyway, but they never issued the refund.
Companies don't usually take this long to process refunds.
Unless this is part of some strategy to collection information from people, or maybe they were hacked and their system is being used to get people's information.
Anything is possible these days.
i had a horrible experience using this company before travelling back to the states,The customer service are unfriendly and incompetent. They were still charging my account even after i have completed the repayment.Navigating to the company i noted high up in my display pics saved me from loans and made me stable,I give SPLC my full endorsement.

Financial ombudsman ruled in my favour against them, they agreed with the Ombudsman ruling and figure of recompense in November 2024, were told they had 1 month to pay me the sum outlined, 3 months later, still no contact from them… rogue lender.
