This company has been abusing the patience of its customers. I have been waiting for more than two years for them to correct my final bill. Instead of providing accurate calculations, they added an unjustified extra charge of €2,800 — based purely on estimates, not real meter readings.
I have only used gas for basic needs like cooking and showering, yet they claim my total cost exceeds €4,000. This is completely unrealistic and unacceptable.
My experience shows they cannot be trusted. They take advantage of their customers instead of providing fair and transparent service.

I signed up to their service because they said I would pay 125€ a month and now they're saying based on my consumption that I should pay 175! and it's summer! I'm very afraid of what they will charge in the winter.

I forgot to submit my meter readings for the end of the year calculations, and they charged me close to 1500 euros based on their "predicted consumption calculations". I live in a 1 person household of 42 square meters and have a good energy label (C). And this doesn't even include the constant price increases they suggested and that I agreed to. So obviously I was shocked, since I never encountered something like this in any of the energy companies I worked with before.
I reached out and gave them my meter readings, and it turns out that they need to return the ENTIRE amount they took from my bank account, only a month later. What if I really needed this money?
Quite a reckless and irresponsible behavior in my opinion, needless to say I will never have a contract with this company ever again.

It is absolutely unacceptable that I am still waiting for the annual settlement six weeks after the contract was closed. I have received no communication, no explanation, and no resolution.
This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is simply not acceptable from any company. I expect a prompt and concrete update on this matter without further delay.
Please treat this as urgent.

Budget raised my fee from eur79 to eur345 without any warning. Their reason is based on the annual consumption, which is fair, but not even warning or contacting first - not to fair.
Their customer care is ABYSMAL by the way, rude agents who close the chat in you face instead of assisting.

The worst (Budget) customer service you can imagine. I cancelled my dynamic contract due to the sale of my house. Two weeks later I received confirmation that the contract will be terminated 6 weeks after cancellation :-0!! I reached out to Budget energy and explained my situation and sent them the by the real estate agent confirmed meter readings. I get another email from Budget energy that they cannot remotely access the smart terminal and that my contract automatically will be switched to fixed tariffs. I sent another email explaining the situation. Their reply that they will stop the delivery on 25th of may - my house moved to the new owner on the 16th of April! WTF? with every email you sent, you get an automated reply that they will get back to you in 10 days! That would be 2031 with all the emails I have sent. Budget Energy, Budget Customer Service.

Budget En charged 80 euros extra for a 2 week late payment, even though we have not received the reminder email. Firstly thats not good customer service, 2 weeks is pretty unfair, and secondly 80 euros is a ridiculous amount when all they have done is a computer generated email

Terrible, terrible company to work with. I was sold to be cheap annual consumption (i.e. 1500kwh/annual) for a new flat (brand new building) I am moving in, then as soon as I approve the contract, they jacked the price to 95 Eur/month which I was promised and signed up for 20Eur/month. They also said my cooling off period doesn't apply because the 'cooling off' period means '2 weeks before the contract starts'. Never heard such a bullshit before! Then I dropped the amount to 20eur/month; but they couldn't confirm that I am not charged with 95Eur invoice at the end of the month. This gives indication that this company is not acting in good faith! Then, I cancelled the contract, this time, they said, because they purchased the electricity for a year, they cannot tell me the cancellation fee! It could be in hundreds...budget energie is acting in bad faith and I am determined to fight this off starting with making a complaint to Consumer rights bureau in Netherlands and then hire a lawyer to make a complaint about the case. Avoid working with them at all cost. It became a matter of principle and I am treated unfairly and unjust.
I will tell my story at every avenue I can find.

I did start a membership for internet, but they have sent me a TV modem as well, after I said I do not want one. I called and said Id like to return it, after they said they will send me e-mail with instructions on the return, I still did not receive one!
About the Wifi: They sent me a router with installation instructions, I followed everything and the router did not work ( turned out to be a faulty cable, it happens), so I had to wait for 2 weeks for the next technician appointment (meanwhile paying mobile internet which I used as hotspot). When the technician finally came and discovered the faulty cable, on the next bill I discovered that I had to pay 70 euro for his visit as well! I believe it is not my fault that they do not check their hardware before sending it!
And the worst part of all is that if you want to get any support, you have to waste an hour of your life ( I am not exaggerating, waiting time is 45 minutes ALWAYS ) to get connected to someone to speak with!!!
I strongly advice to skip, the price is not worth all the trouble!

I have been a customer of Budget for various services, but my latest experience with them, when my internet stopped working turned into a nightmare.
No substantial help, had to figure it out on my own, while being charged for a service that was never performed.
After an hour wait on their customer service phone line, I managed to get an email contact, where I sent an official complaint 6 weeks ago,zero answer even after a second reminder two weeks ago.
It is very reasonable priced as a service,just hope nothing goes wrong ever.
Definitely switching provider once the contract is up, expect no customer service from them.

Budget Energie continued to debit my account monthly even after I had changed to another energy company, claiming they were still delivering to my address even when the grid operator confirmed that was not the case.
Additionally they sent me a final invoice of over 1000 euros: Either trying to scam me for more money or estimating the monthly installments EXTREMELY inaccurately.

This is untrue to what the website said and as a consumer, I feel lied to. It's very annoying.

I change my provider form july to budget energy and ehat a mistake! People stay away from this company! First they came conelt my intermet, was rude and agorant perosn, he left without making sure that internet works. Same evening i had no internet, afrer calling next day they told me all personal is on vakantion and can come to fix only after more then 2 weeks. After call with a lawer i wrote email and somehow they fixed with in 2 days. So i got a call for compensation and they pffered me 3 free months, so i thoght is not so bad, until.. i got a bill for fixing what they schould provide me with. They dont respond to my emails. Run run away
