The rucksack is fine but the website isn't 'Berghaus'

I had some faulty Berghaus boots and was given a credit note on this website. It only carries a fraction of Berghaus items and is expensive. In the end I used my credit as part payment for a rucksack which looks okay so far but cost more than I would pay in a shop and the choice was very limited. The experience has put me off 'Berghaus'.

Please be wary of this website

Please be wary of this website. I was issued a credit note for faulty Berghaus boots, originally bought in Blacks, which I want to replace like for like (in stock everywhere but here). I was told I couldn't so I ordered another style. They didn't arrive, I called and was directed to very small print saying three week delays at the warehouse. Eventually they came, both too late and also way too big, so I returned them. I would still like to use my Berghaus credit note to buy a Berghaus pair of boots but am told this is impossible. I suspect this website is scam.

Wasteful policy

I went to buy some plants to refresh the late summer garden. It was very depressing. Not just B&Q but all the big chains fail to do basic watering in the heat. It's obviously cheaper to write off hundreds of pounds worth of potentially beautiful plants, than to to have junior person water them in hot weather. So much waste.

Installation good, still waiting for resolution on the app

Everything went smoothly with the installation and Tyler was very helpful,quick and efficient. However, we changed our internet router shortly afterwards since when the app stopped working on our phones so we can't monitor the battery. We have spent hours on this, calling and emailing. Still not resolved.

The final stages of setting up my mum's phone were a bit tricky but Joe kindly sorted everything out. So grateful for a High Street shop with such excellent friendly service

Re the reviews below and OVO's answers, I have telephoned this number. It doesn't go to FITs, nor does it recognise a FITs account. I am now once again in the queue to speak to someone. 'Our phone lines are really busy ...'
Perhaps if OVO could sort out the basics, like paying sums owing for more than a year, and having phone numbers that work, there wouldn't be such a queue.
My account number is below and you will see the varous calls and escalations from the record.
Just spent 45 mins on the line - three transfers from a call centre in SA, finally to customer services in the Philippines, promise to hold on while transferring me, music then ... silence.
Giving up now.

FITS with OVO goes from bad to worse

FITS with OVO goes from bad to worse.
It's now been 10 weeks since the last metre reading cycle. SSE paid within 2 or 3. They still owe an unpaid sum from last year. Can't face calling again when each time they promise to sort it and nothing happens. AVOID this company.
Thank you for the response below - I have called so many times (and have a log if necessary), been reassured the outstanding payment will be made. Nothing happens. Ombudsman?

You'd need to call our Feed-in Tariffs (FIT) team on 0330 303 5063 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). If your number's recognised by the system, your call will go straight through to the FIT team. If not, our Customer Care team will transfer your call.

Not clear what you are paying for

I have had a gift subscription of BBC Science Focus magazine for my niece for some years. She loves the magazine. My only gripe is that the renewal process is far from transparent in terms of which issues have been paid for, and when the renewal starts. I only learned today that apparently there are 14 issues in a calendar year - why isn't that clearly stated? And when I received the renewal confirmation email, it doesn't show the date of the first new iteration of 14 issues. It makes me feel as if I'm being subtly made to duplicate payments but there's no way of knowing with this opaque marketing.

Actually getting through to a person instead of a bot, especially as the phone number wasn't working. I would always prefer to speak to a real person but 'Janice' was helpful and actioned several changes.

Friendly staff but hopeless customer service

Megan was friendly but the problem with my FITs reading is simply deferred to March when apparently I need to call as I can't enter metre readings online. I have no idea why that can't be done. There is no dedicated number for FITs customers and it takes me up to an hour to call the general number. Today was better at 30 minutes including a long talk with the call centre in the Philippines. Our FITs worked smoothly with SSE who had an office in Cardiff who picked up the phone.

Our FIT team can be contacted directly on 0330 303 5063 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm). If your number is recognised by the system your call will be put through to the FIT team, if not our Customer Care team will be able to transfer your call.

I have had a gift subscription for a…

I have had a gift subscription for a number of years. My account was under an old, now defunct email address. I opened a new account but can't link the subscription as it's linked to the old address. I've called several times to request the old account be deleted. The call centre staff can't do this, and have 'escalated' the request. Nothing happens. I call again. Ditto. The call centre can't call anyone, only send emails apparently. Frustrated.

Helpful Steph online

The five stars are for Steph on Twitter who sorted out the non-collection of my parcel. I've sent two recently with Hermes, the first was late to be collected and I rebooked, the second was showing as collected but wasn't. The website bots on both Parcel2Go and Hermes have no option for the issue of mistaken tracking so I resorted to Twitter and Steph saved the day! Thank you to her for swift and efficient engagement.
