crap

crap. they have raised the price of air, but not stated this on pumps. a digital card reader on the top right of air pumps can't be seen, showing £1.50, but the £1 price remains front and centre of the pump. deceptive rip-off artists. one can se why mfg is so poorly rated. YUK

card refused, without reason or subsequent apology

after 22 years of having a co-op credit card, a payment was refused, without explanation, despite there never having been a problem. subsequently, no apology or rationale has been given. very glad to return card and cancel the account.

poor delivery service

can see why they get only 1.5. sims did not arrive today, as dpd delivery person did not knock at door, then texted to say no one was in. complained and ee closed the complaint almost immediately, having done nothing to resolve the issue.

what happened to co-op visa card

had a co-op visa credit card for 23 years. always paid on time. Was refused, for a relatively small payment, 3 days ago [with no explanation], much to my disappointment and irritation as a long-term loyal customer. Am returning card and cancelling this account.

for some reason, i was subjected to a security check. a staff person emptied my bag at a self-service till, and started to rescan my shopping. half way though he stopped, and told me he was done, but made no attempt to repack my bag. it all seemed to be so unnecessary and rather unpleasant.

Never use this organisation or Finest…

Never use this organisation or Finest Retreats. I booked a house near whitby, which explicitly stated the rental is pet-friendly. It isn't so the booking was rejected BUT the money taken.

They kept over 1000 pounds. Booking.com promised a refund within 5 working days, but it was over a month, emails and a very firm telephone call, and then the refund took a month!

Work ok, admin procedures not so ok

The work seems ok: commissioning a boiler, which is what was requested over the phone. I was quoted £75. But that climbed to £200 just before the engineers arrived, due to the distance they needed to travel. They got their wires crossed, apparently and, given other reviews, I'd have expected considerably better administration. No apology, either, the excuse being an inexperienced staff member. Disappointing!

Not only did Yeti respond quickly to my query (within minutes), they offered to provide a replacement top for my bottle, without question.

This is good service, indeed!

Natwest can't join the dots

Natwest rightfully suggested phone banking, but did not mention there are a number of actions this cannot undertake ... but it was too late and i could no longer log in via computer, and was then rejected for online business via phone or computer. A totally frustrating dog's breakfast of an experience.

after an initial problem, Firebird stepped up and fulfilled their promise to right things. We had an excellent engineer arrive on Tuesday 31 Oct and he did his best to sort things out, as well as being apologetic about prior issues.

Full credit to Firebird for making things better. Am grateful for this!

Terrible service

I had a poor experience on this flight. I have been using Emirates' services for over 20 years, being a Blue member and, then, a Silver member, up until the time of covid. I have had no reason to complain, previously about Emirates’ service.
Sitting in seat 30F, I had ordered vegetarian food, and received a snack soon after take-off, along with a sealed cup of water. Subsequently, meals for other passengers were brought round and people were offered drinks, but I was offered nothing, and the steward moved on too quickly for me to request a drink.
At the next opportunity, when a steward passed by, I requested a drink, but was advised to wait until lunch was served (a very poor response, I felt). I reiterated: I would like a drink as soon as possible (as I was thirsty). The person in seat 30G was asleep and i could not exit the seat with causing a disturbance. A drink was subsequently provided (but over 15 minutes later). However, the table in 30F is/was not secure and the drink slid off, spilled over me and the person in 30G next to me. The people sitting either side of me were more helpful than the steward in trying to clear up the mess.
Later on, lunch did arrive, but it was 2 hours after I had first requested a drink (so, my request for a drink had been vindicated). When food trays were later collected, mine was overlooked, the steward passed me by, and my food tray was left for over half an hour. When a steward passed by, I asked that the tray be removed and could not understand why I was being treated in what seemed a negligent manner. At this point, I was beginning to become very fed up.
A supervisor later came round and asked if I was alright. I was fine (albeit tired), but frustrated at having been ignored and overlooked. The supervisor was firm, but unapologetic, and asked me if i needed anything. I did not need anything, and she left me without further comment, her enquiry appearing pointless to me, as it solved nothing.
Following this experience, I am unlikely to use Emirates again, which has left me thoroughly disillusioned with the company.

KLIA Costa

I was at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (20 Sept 2023, at 1800 hours), where i ordered 3 hot chocolates, and a warm tuna croissant. This took some time as no one was at the counter; all staff were either making drinks or washing up, a poor sign from the start! The croissant filling, when it arrived, was cold . We only received 2 hot drinks. These 2 hot chocolates were completely undrinkable. The service staff were unapologetic, offering a single americano as replacement when I complained.
As a global brand, one expects a minimum level of quality of service and refreshments. I was appalled at the poor service and awful food and drink for which i paid MYR 81.45, being offered no refund or apology when requesting some kind of response. This is the first time i have been to Costa (anywhere in the world) to encounter such poor quality. Costa has a near monopoly of trade at KLIA, yet seems unable to provide the minimum quality of food, beverages and service. There is no excuse whatsoever. I have to say this was an unprecedented experience for me. It has only been in KLIA (among the many Costas I have visited) that i encountered such poor service and such unpleasant refreshment. How on earth HMSHost, the company that administer this franchise has a licence to operate I do not know, but assume it has nothing to do with their ability to conduct this business properly.
