Regularly wont work after upating macOS…

Regularly wont work after upating macOS for a few months until they find it a good time to update. Endpoint security open a remote execution endpoint on all you systems that install it. You cannot protect that function by setting 2fa or multiple users need to confirm such dangerous operations.
Support is either completely incompetent or has high incentive to play down the danger of their products and offers zero help unless a textsearch for button names can do the trick.

A quick GPT search gives you a nice overview of their f-ups. All in all you are probably more secure relying on macOS security rather than installing any ESET products.

Used them for about 50 buys and then suddenly when i was on holiday they needed KYC. I completed KYC a week later and they "disabled my account". Now they are "investigating the issue" for over a month and stopped responding at all about a week ago. Not very nice ... I'm just a HODLer so what the f could be the problem here???

Edit:
Ok then - lets have some hope you get around to it :)

Hi there,

We require our users to complete an identity verification process in order to comply with international KYC/AML regulations, as well as to keep all our users safe. For each region, our compliance team requires certain documents in order to satisfy our anti-fraud efforts.

Please be assured that as soon as we have an update, we'll reach out to you directly by email.

Best regards, MoonPay Support.

Switched to it because MMS support is…

Switched to it because MMS support is dropping but when i discovered Apple Live Photo is not supported and posted in the so called community forum my post got removed 2 times for no apparent reason except that i expressed i want that feature. Also mentioned why this feature is important.

Not sure what shady stuff is going on there but certainly annoying AF. Feels like somebody is not a fan of Apple or something like that.

EDIT:
Now my 3rd attempt to post in their community forum got also deleted it was the following:

"Pleas make this work normally like WhatsApp can do it. People switch to Signal because MMS is getting stopped but then discover you can't send picture with full support is not good." Deleted by Admin because its inappropriate. Logic much?

Turns out a certain "Herohtar" keeps deleting my posts. Apparently "i got nothing new to say" ... aehm well - thats like your opinion friend. Imho he seems to work against the best interests of Signal but opinions may differ ;-)

Most annoying KYC process yet

Most annoying KYC process yet - you even have to take a picture of the credit card ... not shady at all ^^. Still get 2 stars for giving better fees than moonpay. Now i'm supposed to wait for "several hours" for their stupid KYC to complete - after spending the money. Really annoying behaviour. Don't use this if you think "hey i buy this shitcoin right now" because you might buy serveral days later ... just so stupid.

Ok got verified within 1h ... guess thats fine but the way they keep my money hostage to KYC is not cool.

Answer:
Well it certainly looked like the money is with you because the webinterface says so - so it would be transferred back at some point... Well it's not very obvious how and when. Why not lead with the KYC - we both know why. If it "only" delays my purchase for 1h thats not horrible but I can only go by your own page's info that states "may take several hours" ... so yeah thats how I feel about it. 3 Stars is kind nice of me if you ask me.

We are sorry you feel this way. Credit card verification is an important part of keeping our platform and our users safe, and it's basically the same as anywhere else. Most of our users don't have any problems with it. Unfortunately, credit card fraud in crypto is very common, so verifying all new credit cards once is a necessity if we want to keep the platform running. A card is verified in connection with a specific payment, so no KYC is possible before a payment takes place. Most submissions are approved in under 1 hour. The credit card charge is completed only after the verification is approved, not before. If the verification fails for whatever reason, the blocked amount is released immediately and there is no charge to the card. All further deposits with a verified cards are automatic, so all this only happens once per card, not every time. This information is available on the payment page. We hope we have been able to clear this up. Thanks for sharing your feedback.

After spending tens of thousands of…

After spending tens of thousands of dollars on Apple products like Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, iphone 14 Pro Max ... I've took the liberty to ask around in the so called Apple Community Forum if other also experience bugs on a daily basis. My first post that was very specific to some issues I had with my new iPhone 14 (compass off by 40degrees) got deleted immediately maybe because i wrote "i've tried the usual restart BS" ... ok. Then I went on and created another question that did not contain a single emotional word and was just asking if others also feel that they experience lots of bugs. Got deleted within 1 minute. If only any other response time would be in that range -.-

Let's see how long it takes to take this comment down. Ignoring and silencing your good customers - one way to go. Very, very disappointed by you Apple.

Comparing to Samsung they managed to get an even lower rating by their customers. Interestingly enough if you scroll back 100 pages with Apple reviews they were overwhelmingly positive. Would love to see some graph over time how people changed their opinion and the same graph for KYCed users to get a impression how much bot manipulation could be involved.

I've looked at some reviews and the…

I've looked at some reviews and the math is clearly wrong here. There are companies that only received 1 star reviews and yet they show up as 3 stars - even after 5 reviews giving 1 star and nothing else.

There is one company "The Gin Way" having only 5 stars reviews yet the UI shows 8% 4 stars and few percent lower ratings - except they don't exist. What the hell is going on here?

Edit:
Well thanks for that explanation but it seems very confusing to me that an empty bar would show up as 8%. Maybe some nice tooltip would help or IF you must do this fancy math (which i personally would like to opt out if that would be possible) then maybe show the imaginary reviews as well in a different color in thte bars?

BTW talking of ratings and time. Would be really really helpful to see some diagram showing the scores over time. Preferably an average, your fancy math average and scatter plot of the actual reviews. You could probably see easily the bought reviews because they will be within a certain timeframe when they bought them :-)

Hi There,

Thank you for this review of Trustpilot and your feedback.

We'd have loved for you to have an even better experience - but we appreciate your comment.

I'd love to explain a bit about our calculation method at Trustpilot:

At Trustpilot we use a Bayesian average to ensure that a company with few reviews starts off with a more balanced average TrustScore, instead of an extremely high or low score based on only a low volume of reviews. This means that in all TrustScore calculations we automatically include the value of 7 reviews worth 3.5 stars each. As a company collects more reviews, this becomes a smaller factor in the calculation of the overall TrustScore. More information about Bayesian averages can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayesian_average http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayesian_probability (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayesian_average%20http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayesian_probability)

We also take into account the time span reviews were collected in (I.e. new reviews have more weight than old reviews), and the frequency (a new Trustscore is calculated every time a business receives a new review). As a business collects more reviews, the TrustScore will become representative and give an overall picture of the most recent service.

I also found this nice article about our TrustScore, if you want to dig a bit deeper into this:
https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/articles/201748946-TrustScore-and-star-rating-explained

I hope this gave you some useful insights.

You're always welcome to write again, if you've anything on your mind, that you want to share with our open community, here at Trustpilot.

I wish you a nice December.

Best regards
Olivia - Trustpilot

------- Update

Hi there,

Thank you for updating your review.

We really value that you take the time to comment on your observations.

We understand that it might be a bit confusing - but have found this way to be the most fair solution.

We'd very much like to give you the best experience. Therefore, we encourage you to write us directly, with any improvement ideas, like the ones you wrote in the updated review - via this form: https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001776219

You can get a bit more information about the distribution of reviews on every company site on Trustpilot - you can always take a look at the: Company activity. You can find this insight in the right side of a company profile - almost at the top. I found this bit of info about the feature: https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015285980-Company-activity-See-how-every-business-uses-Trustpilot

I wish you a great day and welcome you back, anytime.

Best regards

At first i liked having infos that seemed the very up to date but now i realise most content is complete nonsense or intentionally missing the point which i contribute to sponsored content.

Now nothing more than propaganda from whoever pays for the content ... the lack of a comment functions shows the creators are aware of this because it would be filled with angry users.

Many stories are obviously sponsored content aka ad content that tries to be story. While 'editor's choice' helps a bit to avoid complete nonsense its very obvious that the lack of a comment feature is due to pushing complete nonsense for the sake of engagement. Followed it for a few years now but it has become completely useless.

Well its not the greatest experience so…

Well its not the greatest experience so far. The RAID i bought that quote "allows you to boot in seconds" is sadly not a bootable drive but 'its apples fault' which is true but maybe don't put in font 48 on page then. The ram i ordered 5 days ago did only get a currier notice so far. It seems nothing has happened in reality. I guess sending to Switzerland is annoying but i won't use DHL as they always find an excuse to charge some imaginary custom fee etc. Takes weeks to sort this out usually. This leaves you with not many shipment options :-/ Anyway they got some cool stuff but it seems its hard to get ;-)

Edit after response:

Well its nice you care but the package still seems just to sit around despite your support and the 'higher level support' assured me its sent - first they claimed it was shipped on the 20th then on the 26th and now i get this page:
August 26, 2020, 10:59 am
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007
A shipping label has been prepared for your item at 10:59 am on August 26, 2020 in ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date.
August 21, 2020, 12:59 am
Arrived Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007
Shipping Partner: GLOBEGISTICS INC_ORD_PARCEL MODULE

... just really bad information policy ....

1 MONTH LATER

Shipment hasn't arrived but seems to be in Switzerland somewhere. I understand that we live in corona times but usually u can send a letter within 2 days to the US. I'm kind of assuming my RAM will be in some enforced envelope which could reach me in similar time. The plane took somehow 3 days to transport the 'package'. Again probably just bad info as its hardly believable a plane takes that long. I had packages from china using a ship that arrived quicker. Maybe ask china how to do it ;-)
Anyway the support is mostly kind and understanding but sometimes also likes to point out things 'like we already told you' which seems a little off as i didn't specifically ask for that but its good to know people work on edge ;-)
Still hoping to receive my stuff 'soonish' to complete this review. Take those 45 days max delivery time serious when u buy there.
