Order never arrived

I ordered a fish tank and cabinet 3 weeks ago. The delivery was arranged for 13-09-24. 13th arrived and I hadn’t had any correspondence at all. Phoned and spoke to a man that was very helpful, he took the order number and said he would phone me back, as it should be delivered today. He phoned back and apologised, a mistake had been made. That was fine, I know things can go wrong. He said he would get my money refunded straight away. Somebody else phoned after and said he wants to know why on the first phone call, did the man tell me it was supposed to be delivered today!!
I believe If you get it wrong admit it, and move on, don’t try and pull the wool over my eyes, by saying an arrangement hadn’t been made.

Expect a phone call in seconds

Within a couple of seconds of putting my phone number in I had a call from Scottish power. Seemed a little desperate if I’m honest. I only wanted to know who offered the best power deals in my area.
Lesson learned.

Two and a half months of faulty…

Two and a half months of faulty internet, last Saturday they sent out an engineer who replaced the hub as it was faulty. Previously I was told it was loose wiring, me using 3rd party equipment and engineers working in my area. After the visit by engineer the issues persisted.
Manager tried calling me I’m told, didn’t get a reply so closed the case. I had no missed calls and can still receive messages and emails on my mobile.

Very easy to insure vehicle online

Very easy to insure vehicle online. Only difficulty was as I was about to confirm payment with bank, I thought I had better go back and check start time.
I was comparing insurances the night before and entered the 16th October. Prima automatically used this date without confirming. If I had made payment I would have been uninsured for 3 days.

Avoid Quickbooks

3 months free started and ended on the same day. Didn’t cancel my subscription.
Paid 0.99 per month for first 6 months through bank account. Money was taken from my account but won’t let me get into quickbooks as an error occurred.
Not sure this app could ever be anything more than a headache.
Have now had £9.99 taken from account same day and had to cancel subscription before they take more.
Was still unable to get into app.
Quickbooks support is non existing.
Quickbooks reply on here doesn’t address the fact that they’re customer care is not acceptable. Spoke on chat a few times last one told me I was connected to quickbooks US!!
Tried phoning customer care but didn’t recognise my phone number, so wouldn’t speak to me. At least you have my money for providing nothing in return.
I’m now with another accounting app and more than happy.

Bought a box of 10 Elux legend 3500 first one tasted burnt from the start, opened another which didn’t work at all. The plastic casing around the base had melted but not the packaging. Battery must have overheated before being packed.

Had an account with eBay for 25 years…

Had an account with eBay for 25 years with over 1000 positive reviews. Normally I buy only. I recently sold a bike and buyer left feedback saying he was very happy. Ebay are keeping the money as I didn’t know I had to get a buyer code from buyer. This should have been made clear to me when selling, but it was not. In my opinion this is a shameful way of obtaining money from the very people that keep their business going.

Despite turning off auto renew months…

Despite turning off auto renew months before renewal mcafee decided to take money from my PayPal account anyway. Probably my own fault for not cancelling PayPal as well. Had already purchased mcafee cheaper elsewhere. Only when I went on to check PayPal account that I realised they did the same the previous year. Having bought it cheaper then as well, I wasn’t aware they had taken two payments and ignored auto renew being off.
Having two paid subscriptions for the software I still won’t use either for 2023 as in my opinion it’s people like this that I’m trying to keep out of my computer.

Good after sales service

Had a problem with getting a replacement, damaged on delivery rubber foot. This was due to seller on Amazon. Once Union Mart were made aware of this Cameron sent out part following day.

A company has asked I put 20%…

A company has asked I put 20% commission for them on my invoice, but not show on invoice. They will deduct this from my pay automatically. This is sending me alarm bells for my self assessment. Phoned HMRC on general enquiries, they passed me to self assessment and then to technician and after being on phone for over 30 mins was told thank you for your call goodbye.

Could make it clearer that what I order won't be collected from my usual local branch. Had to travel an extra 10 miles for a drill bit. Next day I have to do same again.

Phone was left on doorstep

Phone was left on doorstep. My wife was in and we do have a ring door bell. Footage showed DPD driver dropping package on doorstep without using knocker or doorbell. I’m waiting to find out if refurbished means well looked after by previous owner. Top between frame and glass had large build up of dirt, also USB and other vents. Waiting to hear what refurbished means as clearly means nothing in my case.
Order no: 21560418.
I did open a conversation on back market 2 days ago on the service interface. I should have got a response within 24 hours but only response came from trustpilot. I could be wrong but I believe I have 4 days to say I don't want the phone because it was not refurbished. If nobody gets back to me buy Monday I'm stuck with the phone. Really poor service in my opinion.
I have also received an invoice for payment buy company when I did pay back market in full.

2nd visit in 3 years

2nd visit in 3 years, both experiences were a let down. Standing in queues for almost an hour to then be told they are shutting the ride down because of technical issues. Water ride was closed for the entire day. Staff were unhelpful. Money would be better spent elsewhere, won’t be going again as clearly nothing changes.

A roofing company has been vetted by…

A roofing company has been vetted by checkatrade and been accepted. Issue I have is my address has been used, I only found out because the welcome pack was sent to my address. The company are also using my son's name. Checkatrade have been told but keep sending leaflets in the company name to our address. No mistakes have been made it is a fraudulent company.
Checkatrade should answer to this, if they don't it's quite simple do not trust them
