I love this product... BUT!

I really like this product, it’s easy to use and works well. For what it offers, it’s definitely worth the price. However, I really wish the developers would expand support to include more websites, like 'Reddit' and 'Facebook', so I could download videos directly from those sites too.

As an IT professional, I know there are always different ways to capture videos from websites. Even though most websites don't want you to download their content, they're still sending it to your computer, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to see it.

Everything that appears on your screen has already been transmitted to your PC; without that, you wouldn't be viewing it. This means that both video and audio data can be intercepted and saved to a file. However, these methods aren’t always simple and usually require some tweaking of the captured data.

So, come on, developers, it can't be that difficult to add support for more popular sites, or better yet, add a feature that lets us directly capture videos from our screen, or a user defined area of the screen?

I recently ordered something from a…

I recently ordered something from a third party seller on Amazon and paid extra for express delivery. Today I sat at home waiting, no knock, no doorbell. Later I check the tracking online and, surprise surprise, it says DPD delivered it late morning.

Turns out, according to the DPD tracking site, the parcel was shoved through a neighbour’s letterbox, not mine. The delivery photo clearly shows door number 10. I live at 11. We're literally across the hall from each other. And yet, somehow, DPD claims I signed for it. 🙄😏

So I call DPD, expecting at least a shred of accountability. Instead, I get someone who couldn’t care less. I ask, logically:

“How exactly did I sign for a parcel that was posted through the wrong door?”

Her reply? “Sorry.”

I try again:

“If the driver couldn’t deliver it to me and decided to post it through the neighbour’s letterbox, why not just post it through my door? Same design, same distance. Literally across the hallway.”

Reply: “Sorry.”

Not an ounce of reasoning, no acknowledgement of how ridiculous this is. Just that same robotic, empty “sorry.” As if that magically fixes their incompetence. Honestly, it just made me angrier.

I explained that the door it was delivered to is boarded up. No one even lives there. So how exactly am I supposed to retrieve my “express” parcel?

Slightly different script this time: “Sorry. You’ll need to contact the seller and ask them to get in touch with us.”

What an absolute load of crap. When you're trying to explain glaringly obvious flaws in their logic, and they act like they’ve had a lobotomy, what hope do you have? 😢😭

As far as DPD is concerned, the package is “delivered,” so I’ve basically written it off. And I highly doubt the seller will offer a refund either. Total joke.

I so wish I could give 0 stars!!!

Good product / support.

I initially left a poor review due to country of origin and expected delivery times not being immediately obvious.

However, I cannot praise lumitero.com, and (My point of contact), enough for taking onboard the points I initially raised on Trustpilot, and they have adjusted their website accordingly. I am sure not many websites would care, but this was not the case with Lumitero.

My initial 2-star rating is a solid 5. As an additional surprise, and despite my later finding my wand was being shipped from China, it arrived in 6 days, and I am very pleased with it.

However, I would suggest always check expected delivery times on the website.

Well done Marc / Lumitero and thanks for listening.

Unwanted e-mails you cannot unsubscribe from.

Reasonable shoes at a decent price, but beware of their harassment after your purchase!

You'll get endless promotional emails, whether you want them or not. They claim you can unsubscribe by clicking a link at the bottom, but surprise... there’s no link, making it nearly impossible to stop the emails.

I hate these tactics, so I tried reaching out to shoezone.com through their support section. Of course, all they have is an FAQ page with no way to directly contact them. 😒

Since they had an 'online text chat,' I resorted to that. I spoke to 'Muhammed,' who, after I explained my frustration, went away and came back a short while later with: "The email abcdefghijk.co.uk has been unsubscribed."

When I asked why they use such sneaky practices, I got no answer. I also asked WHY the unsubscribe link in their emails is nonexistent, and I was told:

“Unfortunately, it’s not available in the email. You can contact customer services to unsubscribe,”... which, of course, is what led me to the chatbot in the first place 🙄

I’m pretty sure shoezone.com is banking on the fact that most customers won’t go to the lengths I have to stop them, allowing them to continue harassing customers with emails.

By their own admission, quote: "Unfortunately, it’s not available in the email." Despite actual email saying it is, they know exactly what they’re doing!

I won’t be shopping at Shoe Zone again because of their shady practices. You have been warned.

PS: They also do not provide a 'Save Transcript' option on the chatbot, like most professional companies do. I wonder why that is... Surely, it couldn’t be that they don’t want you to have a copy of the conversation. 🤔😒

Mostly excellent but...

I have been with Octopus Energy for many years now and have always found their rates very reasonable compared to other providers.

I have only given 4 stars because sometimes it can be problematic getting a resolution or help with a problem, and Octopus do not always do what they say they will do and end up making matters worse.

For example. I was told I would receive a refund for overpayment to prior supplier, Octopus took over.

This took months and even then I did not get a refund, but Octopus set up a Second account in my name and put the money in that.

So I then had TWO Octopus accounts that I had to sort out, which meant more phone calls etc.

Octopus eventually shut down the second account and transfer the credit to my existing account with them.

Things should NOT be this difficult. I was tempted to give THREE stars but consider the above a rare occurrence that occurred some months back so date below is not accurate.

AVOID!

Joined for the free lessons, but then the inevitable 'Give Us Your Money' to proceed messages started.

I did not want to start paying what I cannot afford, and they sure were not upfront about wanting you to start throwing money at them or how much. For that reason, I deleted my account.

That, however, does not stop companies like this from continuing to bombard me with almost daily e-mails.

Check the non-existent replies from them here to see if they give a damn, and they have zero customer support on the website.

I guess I am grateful I did not start paying because hey, how would you stop these people taking your money 😒🙄

Terrible customer support!

Terrible customer support!
I ordered a package several weeks ago from China. The tracking was great right up until EVRI got their hands on the parcel.
17Team racking website showed it's arrival in the UK and hand over to EVRI 5 days ago along with an EVRI allocated tracking number.
Since then I have heard nothing from EVRI and the number on their website just repeatedly says 'Unrecognised'!

So what recourse do I have!? Oh, apparently I can chat to an online BOT or I can Chat on the phone. I chose phone, rang the number and got a... BOT!!

Well, after typing in the tracking number on my keypad for the BOT (The same one their website does not recognise!) I am informed they have but do not know why it has not been delivered and would I like to escalate this problem?

DUH! Of course, I want my damn parcel. I am then asked to leave my details and someone will 'Ring me back' (And pigs might fly.)

At the end of this, the BOT blurted out what seemed like a 12 to 16 digit reference number with no warning given and buy the time I grabbed a pen I only managed to remember about 5 digits!

And of course the number was not repeated, so that's a clever move on their part... If I ever finally managed to contact a human it will be "What do you mean you have no reference number?" Sorry we cannot help you, so start all over again. BYE!

When you changed your company name FROM Hermes to EVRI because you had so many complaints, I thought you were going to smarten up your act?

Oh and thank your BOT for the useful information... "There is a problem" I could have told you that!

Edit: The parcel arrived within a couple of hours of this review so go figure?

Ordered some meds from this company and they were happy to take my money and not deliver the items.

Two weeks later I send an e-mail asking where my order is and get no reply, or apology, just an e-mail from PayPal saying they are refunding me!

Disgraceful and disrespectful support.

Edit: Replied below that they "They Cancelled my order"? Then how come they never refunded me until I made the complaint? I call BS on this.

As an Amazon Prime member (Now…

As an Amazon Prime member (Now Cancelling)... Amazon used to be pretty good, offering next day delivery on most, if not all, items.

Not only is Amazon now going to charge nearly £2 extra for their before 1pm next day delivery, but many items are no longer 'Next Day' because Amazon is flooded with third party resellers.

How can an 'Amazons Choice Item' costing £6+ be the default to come up on a search, then the same item appear in the list as 'Amazons Choice' at £4+ £2 LESS when you use the 'filter' option to sort prices 'Low to High'?

I think we all know why that is. Amazon ramps up the prices on their 'Amazon Choice' items, hoping no one clicks on the filter button to sort Low to High.

So basically Two Identical 'Amazon Choice' items, the one that always appears first being the most expensive, with the cheaper 'Amazon Choice' item being way down in the listings.

So Amazon's Choice is already £2 dearer than other listings on the site, but they then want a further £2 for next day before 1pm despite already charging me £8+ a month membership.

A recent problem has pushed me to cancel my membership...

I ordered an item from a third party seller on Amazon, and the item that arrived was NOT the item listed or what I ordered.

I took photos and contacted the seller via Amazons website and uploaded the photos of the incorrect item along with a photo from the website of the CORRECT item.

In fairness, I got a nice reply from the seller saying sorry, and if I supplied my name and address, they would send me the correct item free of charge. (Perfect! Sorted) At least in an ideal world not involving Amazon.

However! Amazon want you to conduct all business via them, and the reply section stated 'Do not supply your personal details' in the reply.

OK so what do I do Amazon!!!? file for a return of the item, which will involve my time when it's not my fault and when the seller is quite happy to send me a replacement?

As it happened, I did manage to get my details to the third party seller and lo and behold, what did I get through the post?

The same incorrect item!

Now what to do? Return both items? Return 1 and keep one. Neither are any real use to me. Face the hassle of going via Amazons returns system to maybe get yet another incorrect item?

If only I could talk directly to the seller via a phone number, or their e-mail address but Amazon have that one well and truly locked tight.

The irony is that I can't be arsed with the stress of it all and the time it will take, and decided a better use of my time would be to vent here.

Amazon Prime has lost a member. At least on eBay, I can easily message the sellers.

Amazon has become too damn frustrating and costly. I don't need to pay for grief, I can get that for free elsewhere.

What went wrong!?

What used to be an excellent Fish and Chip shop in Rayleigh has sadly rapidly gone down hill.

The fish seems to have got worst over the last year or so, being either undercooked, tough or, like this evening, slimy with an unpleasant aftertaste. This is not an isolated incident either, as my friend also did not enjoy it either.

If the fact the fish was ropey was not bad enough, the chips did nothing to offset the disappointment, with both of us having to leave roughly 50% of them. I do not think I have ever seen so many big black eyes on chips before :-(

While I realise food prices have gone up, cutting corners is not going to improve customer satisfaction. I would rather pay more and enjoy my fish and chips!!!

No real complaints here...

Ok... Firstly I do like to try and support the smaller shops / retailers where possible as opposed to large companies like Angling Direct but when they are on one's doorstep and the prices are good it's a bit of a no-brainer for me, So...

I have been using my local Angling Direct in Rayleigh, Essex for a number of years now, and it is nice that just about everything an Angler needs is under one roof.

Pros:
- Competitive prices.
- Good head of stock.
- Friendly, helpful staff happy to give advice.
- Staffed by Anglers.
- Staff do not automatically try and sell you the most expensive items.
- Will order in out of stock items from sister shops.

Cons:
- Some cheaper / lesser known brands not stocked so best to still look online in some cases.
- Sometimes completely sell out of certain items.
- Do tend to push Angling Direct's own 'Advanta' brand items where applicable, but then again, their 'Advanta' brand items are usually reasonably priced!

Last 'personal' experience:
I wanted a compact 3 Rod Holdall and had been looking at a 'Korda' Brand one in stock. When I asked for advice from a staff member telling them I was after a three rod holdall, I was actually shown a cheaper holdall by a different manufacturer and had to explain it was not the one I was interested in.
That kinda confirmed to me, they were not just trying to sell me the more expensive item, which I did end up purchasing and must say I am VERY happy with it.

I found out about 'Mountain Warehouse' via the Radio (Radio 4 interview I think) so decided to check them out on the internet. I thought the prices were very competitive and ended up purchasing two items in the space of a week, and both items arrived within a few days.
I do not have any other items of clothing I need to buy at present, but I have bookmarked the website and will definitely be using them again in the future.

I am based in the UK but if I try and connect to their .com website to complain it automatically, transfers me to the .co.uk website, hence I am posting this on both this Review Page (ridgewallet.com) AND on the (ridgewallet.co.uk) review page (they are, after all the same company)...

I am so ANGRY!

Too big and just don't care anymore.

After lots of failed attempts to contact Pharmacy2u due to messed up med orders (Returned e-mails telling me to use their online chat, being put on hold when phoning then getting a message "we are unable to answer calls please use our website instead"), I have now tried to 'Close my Account', surprise surprise there is no option for that either!
My GP has managed to contact them stop future prescriptions going to them though my account still seems to be active.
Like so many companies that start off giving good service, Pharmacy2U seem to have got so big now that they don't care about losing the odd customer here and there and appear to be trying to make contacting them as difficult as possible.
Ironically, I was trying to save them money by pointing out a fault on their website where each time I selected an item, a much more expensive (and unneeded) item was sent each time.
It's a shame because they were a good company to start with, and I have been using them for a few years now.
Fine if everything goes smoothly but if you hit a problem they don't care and don't want to know.

When you place a request via our service we do send you a confirmation email, this does list the items requested, also when a prescription is received from your GP surgery a further email will be sent to you again listing the items prescribed.

After a failed delivery and refund on…

After a failed delivery and refund on an Amazon order, I saw that Technextday had the item for sale and was slightly cheaper. With a promise of next day delivery, I thought it was a no-brainer, so placed an order.

Two days later I noted the order status was showing 'processing' not 'shipped' so sent an e-mail asking why?, and got an almost immediate response!

We have refunded your order because we do not have any in stock! Mind you, they kindly note it can take up to 7 days for them to refund the £59!!!

To add to this I went back on to the website to find they have bumped the price up from £59 to £70!!!!

Disgusting business practice. They could have asked if I wanted to wait for new stock as I had already paid them, but no! Just a glib e-mail response.

Totally disgusted and as an IT solutions provider myself, I will not be recommending this company to customers.

Awful company

Awful company. Ordered an item sold by them via Amazon and the tracking number supplied gave no delivery information when used.

The delivery date as stated on Amazon, Quote 'Delivery Today before 8pm' unquote, came and went, and strangely on the same day the tracking number supplied by topgadgetsuk stopped working all together!

After ordering this a whole week earlier, staying in all day and taking a day off work I now have an updated delivery date from Amazon on behalf of 'topgadgetsuk' saying, 'Now expected sometime between 23rd and the 25th of November'

So now I am expected to just wait in for the next 3 days in case it turns up?

I wish I had read all the abysmal reviews of this company before placing an order on Amazon.

I had a reply from 'Topgadgetsuk' today (23rd) which just said 'We will look into it' not even a 'Sorry'.

Unbelievably useless courier company!

Unbelievably useless courier company!
I have stayed in all day waiting for a parcel periodically checking the tracking number on their website then suddenly the website tells me I have an invalid tracking number and to contact the retailer!?
What the... Hermes!? Seems like every single time I am expecting a delivery, you manage to royally screw up.
Why retailers continue to use you is beyond me.
Now I have no package and no tracking either, and once again it is left to the customer to try and sort your mess out!
And yes Hermes the tracking number WAS correct and independently verified... Until YOU decided it no longer was????
