Design your own.

I used the design your own cards. The cards arrived and look good. The process wasn’t particularly easy. Blank card (not templated) was hard to find. Editing options are limited. Website a bit ‘busy’ but overall a good service and delivery.

Bubble planet Wembley - don’t go.

Bubble planet Wembley. Don’t go just don’t! Charging people to go in is a crime. It’s insulting. Apart from the diabolical content the lack of hygiene, rank ‘relaxation’ filthy bean bag/bed type things it felt empty, stupid( my kids words) it’s a rip off and the company should be investigated.

Way too toxic!

I used the solvent based paint for my front door. The paint is toxic! I used 3 face masks on top of each other. I was painting for about 2 hours and stopped. Today my lungs are very sore. My mouth is sore and I will never use it again. I feel poisoned. It’s bad!

Not going to use AIR Bnb any more

Not going to use Airbnb any more. Fed up with owners charging a fortune, check in time gets later and later shaving an afternoon at best off your holiday, earlier checkouts, asking GUESTS to remove linen bedding etc, making petty demands about rubbish disposal, asking us to clean (over and above) basically leaving no cleaning materials but asking you to do the cleaners job. no electric car charging, we are GUESTS, your bread and butter - we are on HOLIDAY stop treating us all like unwelcome nuisances to tolerate for income, who you are doing a massive favour for allowing us to stay. It’s a hotel with friendly customer service, treating guests like customers from now on.

I think DPD need legal investigation

I think DPD need legal investigation. To advertise a service and market that they deliver your packages - and then don’t, or pretend they do, or just deliver to a random door step miles from correct destination, or take a picture of correct front door and then take it away again ( camera showed this), or say it’s delivered with no photo proof ( you then have to question what they do with it), or just can’t read the correct house name or can’t find the location - so dump it anywhere but the correct place, I could go on ….. it’s unacceptable and I think for Trades Description to shut them down! Their useless service is nationwide. I don’t understand why they are allowed to trade.

Hemel - treats customers with utter disrespect.

Hemel branch. After being told that I couldn’t make an appointment in store for bike exchange valuation I did it online at home for 2 weeks ahead. Struggled getting heavy E bike in car. Drove 15 miles to nearest Halfords. Got shouted at from across the store on entry ‘hope you’ve got an appointment with that!’ Struggled up 2 flights of stairs at 10.30 for booked appointment. Told to ‘wait our turn’ by male assistant as two people in front of us. 10.45 young lady appeared and asked if she could help. Told her we were here for our appointment to which she looked at her watch and said ‘you’re late!’ Took the bike and told us to ‘hang around’. 10 mins in after removing bits of my bike - she then ambles to the computer and tells us that she can’t value my bike as she’s just read that E bikes aren’t covered on scheme! (Find it online if you can). No apology just a shrug of the shoulders and an attitude of shear disrespect when we complained about losing a whole Sunday morning, fuel for the car, a ripped coat, injured back lugging it up the stairs (were over 65). It was shocking. Then I asked for the manager and she said it was her! Again a shrug, another ‘sorry’ and that was it.
Got home called CS. Told to email complaint, CS put me on hold to find email address. Got cut off. Tried again - cut off! Found director and PA address online. No response as yet 2 weeks gone by.
So much for all the rubbish online about ‘caring’ about their customers. Also the store was so hot and unhealthy but apparently she told me the temperature is for staff comfort not customers. Says it all really.

Good and bad

Quick And efficient service. When designing your own card though the design options are limited and fitting photo or picture to blank card is tricky with no tools in their process of design. Colour also inaccurate. Whites are never white. They print very dark. It needs a tool to enable your own picture to reduce/expand to fit card size.

What have they done to the website?!

What have they done to the website?!! Has anyone in their IT sat with a member Trying to book? Where is the map? I want to look at the uk map and decide a location dependent on where the club have sites. You can’t do it. Utterly ridiculous. People have actually been paid to design this very unuser friendly site. Bearing in mind the majority of members are overa certain age …. I’m now going to use the ‘other’ clubs site to book my trip. I wonder how much business they’ve lost through their new website.

I would not use Suffolk Secrets.

I would not use SS. I booked Drift Cottage Walberswick for a 70th birthday celebration for friends and family. My husband and I contracted covid 2 days prior to the trip and cancelled. The T&Cs state cancellations can be transferred with owners agreement which is an incentive when booking. Considering there were lots of spaces through the winter (we were flexible & prepared to take whatever empty weekend was offered) it would have been a kind goodwill gesture to accommodate us through one of their quiet months. This wasn’t cheap, over £1000 for 4 nights. The owner declined stating short notice and we could still go according to the guidelines. Of course we wouldn’t be so selfish to pass it on to our 70 year age group friends who we invited. We were bed ridden and not up to travelling either. I feel along with the huge disappointment it left a bad taste - people aren’t nice. Business and money rule! I also feel SS should have influence and their own set of rules for their rental owners. Without their customers there would be no business. It seems we are unimportant , not priority. Use one of the many other more accommodating agencies who put customers first.

HUGE delivery fees

HUGE delivery fees. When ordering make sure you order everything in one go including clips; trims etc (accessories) the website doesn’t remind you or suggest it like most do. They don’t mention what you need as well as the actual deck boards. If you are a professional ‘decker’ you’ll know but I didn’t. I phoned and ordered forgotten fixings - another huge delivery fee. They then had an opportunity to ask if I needed edging but they didn’t. So once again a separate late order for that too - £59.00 delivery! I actually got similar elsewhere. Equally nice. Way cheaper delivery.

Another one of these Chinese scam…

Another one of these Chinese scam companies. Always in contact by email apologising for slow delivery blah blah blah. Take your money quick enough. Take forever to ‘process’ & non existent tracking info. No goods to date. Small partial refund (no idea what’s that’s about). I did review before purchasing but mistakenly reviewed similar company name first on Google list. Clever!

Pros and Cons.

Pros - good easy to use website. Booking online and adjusting bookings - handy and efficient. Fair prices. Easy to use App. A standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Negatives - I wonder how much ‘license’ is used when the Club write site descriptions and take their photos. We now use Google street view and satellite views! Look out for busy roads, how far from motorways (noise and air pollution) next door buildings, railway lines, lack of footpaths etc. Read between the lines. Tall Trees are an issue on many sites blocking sun and stunning views from many pitches. Also allocation of pitches - it’s inconsistent. Mostly down to the warden who gets to go where.

Take your money but don’t deliver …

After the recent storm I made a claim for roof damage. Received an email giving the name of our handler - Your allocated claim handler is - Ella Northey.
We have been appointed by your insurer to visit your property and survey the damage.
And another one -
‘We are currently arranging a Surveyor to visit your property and assess the damage. Either ourselves or the Surveyor will be in contact to arrange a suitable date and time for this visit’
NOTHING! Can’t get through via phone either.
What are we supposed to do? I guess report it to the ombudsman. We’ve paid for a product we are not getting.
Avoid this company! Also strange that every time a bad review appears a 5 star one comes after. Always very suspicious.

Still waiting for my wood store ….

Still waiting for my wood store ordered 22 September. Now it’s 14 October. I had a delivery date for 2 days ago but driver didn’t turn up after taking afternoon off to wait in. Customer service very polite but don’t seem able to tell me anything - now ‘promised’ by end of the week which is tomorrow but still no actual delivery day or time confirmed. Awaiting a call from another member of CS tomorrow. Not good …. Won’t buy from them again.

It’s no longer my first ‘go to’ for sites.

It’s no longer my first ‘go to’ for sites. I have found the staff mostly helpful on site. Customer services when I’ve contacted also helpful. My review is that when we bought our motorhome we joined this club in expectations of having quality sites with quality services and on well thought out, considered locations. Not so - a lot of sites we’ve been too are too small, horrid locations, too busy, no space between pitches, below standard facilities etc etc. One site was next to a sewage works that had been established long before the CC put a site there! The ‘other’ club has far better quality sites, private sites are many too. C&C club needs to up their game massively.

Beware the salesman

Beware the salesman! Purchased an outwell Newburgh 260 air awning £900. Sales guy convinced us it was ‘perfect’ for our swift 644 motorhome. He knew the dimensions and was ‘familiar’ with the model. We explained we had no rail. No problem - just throw the guy ropes over and secure it that way. The guy ropes DONT throw over because of the overhead cabin. The don’t reach, the MH is to high. If you throw the guy ropes over further down the MH the awning doesn’t fit or go over the door. We’ve looked into getting a rail. Nobody will do it - it can’t be done. outwell customer service don’t answer don’t call back and are not interested in helping. We were mislead, lied to and listened to a salesman who just wanted his commission. Didn’t have a clue! Beware. We are £900 down with a useless bit of kit.

Wireless bra

Wireless bra. Product warm and comfortable but NO support at all. NO substance at all if you are on the larger bust size. I guess you get what you pay for. Not sure if the full non sale price was true. Also wrote negative review on their own site - it never appeared. You just see the positive ones. I wouldn’t recommend. Other similar non wired bras are better quality in my opinion.
