The bus journey was fine, but the bus didn't have a toilet or charging points, despite what they advertised. Not just that, but we paid extra for reserved seats. This seems to have been a scam, as there were no reservations, no seat numbers, and the driver said people could sit anywhere. We have been offered a voucher which is useless to me and they have refused a refund - despite never being in a position to offer the service they charged for!

The amount of money isn't great, but it's warning for others that you won't get a refund if things go wrong.

On the plus side, the bus arrived on time!

I've generally had a good experience with MM, but my last transaction was disappointing. I bought an Apple watch from them for over £200 - it was listed as 'good' when I purchased it. I decided it wasn't for me, so I've returned - it having had next to no use on my part and in the same condition as I received it.

I was offered £80 - a hefty reduction in value but not unexpected - they have to make money somehow. Apparently now they have examined it, however, it has 'heavy cosmetic damage' and is only worth £9!! Seriously? Do I get a refund on my original purchase since they sold me a 'poor', nearly worthless, product labelled as 'good'?

The basic service is fine. There's a good selection of books, although often the older titles by an author. As documented elsewhere it is not unlimited in that, once you have read more than a few books, you ony have access to their so-called rotating library, a very small selection of books.

Spot the theme? A few titles I suspect would prevent this review being published. There seems no way to exclude erotic fiction, including much which seems abusive towards women.

Failed to pick up a parcel twice with no contact at all to advise on status. As advised by Evri in their original email, took it instead to a parcel shop, but now Evri denying the parcel exists.

I’ve been using Perlego for a few years, and it helped me through college. It was invaluable for research and essay writing to have access to a wide (and growing) library of content without the limits of some other services - several ebooks I could only find here. I have kept on the service post-graduation, as I still use it regularly for reference… and simply for interest! The apps keep evolving and improving.

I've used this library for 2 years now and plan to keep my subscription beyond my studies. As another reviewer said, their theological book selection is superb and growing. Amazing value for money.

While the apps are not yet perfect, they are consistently improving. On the rare occasion I have a problem with a book it's reviewed quickly.

I've used other 'unlimited' book library services which had a decent selection of books for a similar price, but limited your access to them after you had read one or two. This renders them useless for research or academic work where you often use a small section from a number of books. No such problems here.

I took out a subscription, and was locked into the 1 year minimum period (note this if you take the free trial - most other newspapers don't have this 12 month commitment on their digital products).

Over the year I grew less enamoured by the journalism compared to other sources and stopped reading. Cancelling by email was impossible - apparently they had to definitely speak to the account holder. In fact, it was just an excuse to deliver a lengthy retention speech (they didn't ask for any more verification information than I'd provided by email).

After 10 minutes of being encouraged to give it another go, and enduring the apparent disbelief that I could even consider giving up such a quality news source, the subscription was finally cancelled.

Stay strong when you call. And, even better, avoid subscribing unless you're sure you want it. In contrast the NY Times is easy to subscribe to, easy to unsubscribe from (with only a 1 month commitment), so I can pick up and drop as I have time.

This is not unlimited, unless by that you mean reading a limited selection of books from their overall catalogue that they predetermine while losing access to books you actually want to read with no notice and no clear idea of what criteria they're using.

As it is, I lost access to books I'm using for research, leaving me with no choice but to find them elsewhere. Thankfully, Perlego seems to be genuinely unlimited.

Excellent service and a useful research tool. Some more theological books would be welcome - it seems under-represented compared to some other disciplines.

While the website is great, the iPad/iPhone app needs some work - it seems to be rather hit or miss when downloading a book on either device (both running the latest iOS version). I end up using the browser on the device (which works OK but is a bit clunky).

It's good to hear that PDFs will be available on the app as well as ePub files, although without downloads it won't help.

Finally, it would help if the app offered Zotero or Refman citations for those of us who reference electronically.

Great experience - very fast delivery to the North of Scotland; product well packaged.

I've been to Aberdeen's Union Square branch twice in the last two months. On both occasions I ordered two sides with my meal, and on both occasions one of them failed to turn up. The first time I was able to ask when someone came to check on my table; the second time nobody came. I eventually managed to call over a member of staff who said they'd see about it... but the side never turned up.

They're certainly busy, and the food I had was good, but the staff seem too busy to provide a good level of customer service.

I've bought 2 iPhones from musicMagpie, and I've been very impressed. Great device, battery operating efficiently and the delivery / tracking is very good. The Amazon integration at checkout is useful too.

Highly recommended.

(Update: bought a further product which turned out didn't match the description. Returned for free and refunded no questions asked. Was able to buy a suitable replacement - overall another good experience)

(Update 2: Have now sold my old phones and bought a new one from musicMagpie. No problem at all - still highly recommended).
