This review started as a 1 out of 5 when the DPD delivery driver failed to check that he was actually at the correct address before claiming that I was not in - specially annoying when I had waited in especially and there was no card and nothing on the CCTV.
However, after a long and arduous wait to talk to customer services, I obviously got through to DPD because approximately 30 minutes later I received a telephone call from the distribution depot. The caller was extremely polite and apologetic and said that the driver would be coming to the correct address - probably in about 30 minutes.
The driver arrived about an hour later and also apologised.
I think that this service deserves a 5/5 as I cannot think of any other courier that would do this.

We got there... eventually.

OK, so we had a problem in that EVERY year we have had to chase up the National Trust for new membership cards - which, of course, are essential if you want to be able to park in many of the National Trust car parks as a member, for free!
This year was no different.
However, we have now received cards and a generous gesture...
So, lets cross fingers that all will be well next year.

Above and beyond

When I ordered from Tayna and received the notification from Yodel that my package was going to be delivered, I was impressed with the speed, professionalism and value offered by Tayna.
BUT, for some reason, the Yodel driver seemed not to be interested in delivering the parcel - he arrived in a close of just 8 houses, got out of the van, had a look around and then got back in his van and drove off.
Trying to talk to somebody at Yodel is a joke, so I rang Tayna.
They offered to send out another parcel via DHL for next day delivery.
The parcel has just been delivered exactly as promised and the batteries tested and installed.
Thank you Tayna and DHL.
Very impressed and very happy.

They did what Yodel could not......

Well, it cannot be difficult to find 1 house in a close of 8 in total. And, as expected, DHL arrived in the close and immediately stopped outside our house.
Very helpful and friendly chap.
MUCH better than Yodel, who just about bothered to get out of his van yesterday!

About as bad as it gets

Apparently a Yodel driver cannot understand that "example close 1" is the same as "1 example close".
In this case there are only 8 houses in example close.
The driver of van DN72HXR drives into the close, gets out of the van, looks at his tablet and then gets back into the van again and drives off.
When you look on the tracker, the status is unable to locate property, please contact us....
You then try and talk to Yodel - you cannot talk to a person EVER...
You can webchat to them, but NOT if you use Microsoft Edge browser.
When you do chat to them, you get the usual script , and are told that they will attempt delivery tomorrow.
I asked, why will tomorrow be different to today.
I have lived in this house for 37 years, the address is still the same and the house has not moved.
Yodel have been here before.
I have asked the supplier to cancel the order and ship a new order using a different courier - in this case DHL.
This is an important order as it contains computer backup batteries for a local council.

To confirm that I have provided the information to Yodel as requested below...

Since doing this, I have been in email dialogue with Yodel, but despite this, I have now received an email apologising for not being to deliver today, we will try tomorrow. Well, you can try, but you will be sent away as a replacement will be arriving soon courtesy of DHL.

It has been a while since I used CCL online and yet again, when a HDD failed in my NAS drive, the replacement HDD arrived next day exactly as expected and needed from CCL.

Cannot cancel delivery pass!!!!!

Yet another site where you can go online and buy a delivery pass, but YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM TO CANCEL.
I have now been on the telephone 40 minutes listening to the same music constantly repeating itself and there looks to be no possibility of Morrisons answering the phone.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Just tried another Morrisons number to be told that the average wait time is 42 minutes...

Support is now non existant

Cloud2tel / Tel2 / Herotel were fantastic in the UK until their support collapsed.
Don't get me wrong, the service itself is very good, but there appears to be no support at all now!
I have now been advised that a company will soon be appointed to provide support..

Brilliant product and amazing service

I purchased an Airmaster Tiger 11/260 to replace my Stanley - which had insufficient flow.
OK, so you get some tools with the Stanley, but otherwise the Airmaster Tiger 11/260 is far superior - quieter and producing 50% more air.
I made a mistake with the order so needed to contact customer services.
I cannot fault Machine Mart or their product in any way. Excellent service and excellent product - thoroughly recommended.

Smart Shop is neither fast nor smart.

If it were not for the fact that I can easily walk to Sainsburys, I would definitely not shop here!
Yet again I tried smart shop and yet again I had a problem - I have used it 4 times and on 3 occasions I have had problems!
So, on this occasion, I was selected for (another) bag check. I guess that I would not mind if it were done quickly and efficiently, but it is NOT!
Why, when you are selected for a bag check, does the light not go red flagging to staff that you need attention. It does not, so you now have to try and get the attention of an already depleted and busy member of staff! Also, as all of the few of the working smart tills were busy, I had to fend off my till to stop it being hijacked - though whether this is necessary I don't know. Having said that, if I was then forced to look for another free till, I would consider just emptying my bags back into the trolley or basket and going to Morrisons.
The member of staff that I first spoke to did not say anything other than OK - so I was left standing not knowing what would happen next. If she had said a supervisor will be with you shortly, I would have known what was going on.
High prices and poor service!!
Come on Aldi - we need you!

Support needs improving

I upgraded my emclient software to the latest supported version on their customer portal and immediately noticed that I was unable to send emails from outlook.com account. I went back to the download portal and noticed that this latest version had been withdrawn.
As it is not possible to regress to the previous version I was forced to raise a ticket.
I raised a ticket (#154802) about this issue as part of the VIP support package and the responses were less than satisfactory, as follows:-
1) At no time was my question about the withdrawal of the latest version answered.
2) In my ticket, I also asked a question about a registry fix that I had previously applied, to ask whether this was a factor or not. This was also not answered.
3) I received an answer that the problem was with Microsoft and that EMClient could do nothing.....
However, I have now noticed that EMClient have issued a new version of EMClient that circumvents the very problem that I have been having, BUT, EMClient did not see fit to make me aware of this - despite them being aware that I was unable to use EMClient for my outlook.com account!
Judge for yourself if it is reasonable to expect this level/quality of service for a service for which EMClient charges an annual subscription!
I think not!

It is good to receive feedback, but I am not sure that the person responding actually read and understood what I had said....

We are sorry to hear you encountered issues with some of the recent updates.
Sometimes versions are put in the Release history to address specific issues, and if we notice there are reports of other issues or the fix don't work, the specific update might be pulled back and replaced with a newer one.

The new workaround for the Microsoft sending issue with SMTP is just being released today, so it will be offered as automatic update in the following days. If you want to try the new workaround right away, you can of course download it from the Release history and install it manually.

The Microsoft sending issue which has been ongoing since the beginning of February is rather unfortunate and we hoped Microsoft would fix it themselves by now, but since there seems to be no progress, we decided to make our own update to make the workaround easier than the previously offered workaround in this article: https://bit.ly/3HWakVO

The workaround we made in the current version uses a completely different protocol for sending (ActiveSync instead of SMTP) so it's not a "fix" to the original issue, the latest SMTP OAuth authentication on the Microsoft servers is still broken, we just created a version that does not use it at all.

I found these on the internet, very competitively priced.
The filters are excellent quality and fit perfectly.
