I made a mistake ordering from here

I made a mistake ordering from here, it looked good, some external hard drives but I didn’t spot that it was coming from China. I emailed to say I wanted to cancel the order if it was coming from China but then had a reply saying they understood my concerns and that it had been dispatched. So then couldn’t just cancel. It’s been two weeks now and just had a message to say it’ll be here in 7-14 days. Absolutely rubbish service and I’m sure it wasn’t obvious that it was going to be such a huge lead time. Judging by the other reviews the items may be crap as well!

Clear and easy

It was easy to book and to see which properties were available. I stayed in a lovely house, and all communication was clear. It was good that there were some offers with a bit of a reduction in price.
Overall, UK holiday accommodation feels expensive, although this site had some reductions which helped me.
The expensive nature of holidays isn't unique to this website, it's just a trend overall.

Josh and Danny did a great job of clearing a lot of rubble for me, for a good price. Fast, polite and hard working. Everyone has been very friendly and reasonable from booking to completion.
Good communication throughout.

Wardrobe

Overall the ordering process, delivery and communication was excellent. The actual item is quite good. It was a large wood effect wardrobe but it’s more plasticy in feel than I expected, it is chip board wrapped in plastic laminate. It looks pretty good now it’s built but at the price I had expected something better quality. The instructions were clear and all the parts were present. It took me about 5hrs to build it. If I had the choice again I’d spend a bit extra and get a wardrobe from Cotswold which was other option and better quality. I was a bit disappointed.

The part that arrived wasn’t the size I needed unfortunately but return was very easy to organise and I got a full refund very fast. They have also offered to help me find the correct sized part as well. Excellent.

Beware, can’t believe it’s happening again!

One year on to my original review - Another 89 pounds taken. I can’t believe it. Now being told I took a trial on a different email account last May. I can’t believe this. I would not have. The only think I can imagine is that somehow through the process of trying to sort the last mess out but would never have chosen to set up another account. That’s now £135 for a service that I do not want and have not used and now being told that I won’t be refunded. It’s theft. I want to make sure this never happens again but how can I be sure I won’t be going through this again next year? It’s so upsetting and distressing and awful. It’s no way to run a service.

June 2023 - I took a free trial some time ago. I think I vaguely remember choosing to pay for a year. I’m sure I cancelled though so that it wouldn’t renew beyond that but the charge went out earlier this month and apparently I’m still signed up. I had no idea and have an awful feeling it may be two years subs. I’ve gone into my account now and cancelled so hope that is the end of it. £100 has gone now for a service that I don’t want to use and that I can less than afford. I only spotted it 16 days after it had gone out. Their policy is to refund after a 14 day cooling off, except that I didn’t know it was about to come out. I’d long since sent the skillshare emails to spam. So I contacted them but they refused to refund me. I wrote again and have been ignored. I haven’t used the service for a long time.
I feel like the money has been stolen from me. They apparently had sent an email to say it was going to renew but I didn’t see it as it went to my spam.
I can’t believe there is no way to get my money back. It’s my money , not theirs.
A business model that in part relies on people forgetting they’ve signed up is a very poor one.

Update - Subsequently 50% of my renewal fee from that year was refunded. The customer care from the person who helped me eventually was very good.

Promises of delivery but it never comes

I ordered my kit in June. I expected to wait a while. I heard on November 21st that it was “on its way to your door” but then no further messages until 19/12 when I received an email to say it was out for delivery - it didn’t arrive. The next day another message came giving me a time slot and still it didn’t arrive. The app said the driver failed to deliver as they ran out of time. Then a few days later I git a message from UPS giving me a time slot but still it didn’t come. That’s three days pointless waiting in. I contacted UPS and they’ve said the package had “encountered a security screening process” which had prevented delivery and they pointed me back to Swytch. Meanwhile Swytch customer service replied to my message telling me that the system shows that the kit has been delivered. It hasn’t!! I am now starting to wonder if might never come. I paid around the £650. It’s a lot of money. It’s nearly a month and a half since I was first told it was coming to my door.
There are must be major problems in the delivery systems at Swytch. It’s becoming totally infuriating. Please put me out of my misery and deliver the parcel!
Then the next challenge is will it fit and work not be damaged from being in transit for so long!
Update 21st Jan - I’m still waiting for the kit. They said “it’s at the uk fulfilment centre awaiting collection by UPS”. It’s takes nearly a week or longer to get replies to my emails from customer service. My kit was initially promised for delivery 21Nov and still its not here. Its simply an unacceptably low level of service
