Very changeable

I had a regular courier for a couple of years who who great - always very honest and reliable. Since he's left to do another round though I've had parcels not collected and I had to pretty much demand that one (booked) collection was taken as the courier tried to refuse when delivering another parcel. I've had very inconsistent experiences with items I've posted over the past few years, with several parcels going missing or being badly damaged and Hermes refusing to accept responsibility. I've almost stopped using them now, there are too many competitors doing a better job.

Awful company and very dishonest

We ordered a £2000 Tempur mattress on 5th Jan after deliberating for some time whether it was worth spending that much but being convinced it was an investment.
To be fair, the lady who served us was really lovely and she gave us a discount on the sale price.
We paid a £200 deposit and booked in delivery for Monday 25th Jan.
The Friday before, my husband received a call to say their delivery had been delayed and that they were sorry but it would be postponed. We accepted this eventually, despite the fact my husband had booked the day off work and we had someone coming to collect our mattress.
As they didn't phone us back each time they said they would my husband had to chase them and the store several times and was then told we'd be told what was happening on Monday.
By Monday, they still didn't know what was going on, but after several more phone calls the manageress from The Rayleigh branch where we bought it called and promised us a new delivery date of next Tuesday.
I asked her to confirm this was definite as we were otherwise going to cancel and she promised me it was already waiting in the warehouse and would absolutely be delivered that day.
Then today my husband received yet another call to say their delivery has been delayed again and it's still not available!!!!!!
How could that be when it was already in the warehouse??
This company were very quick to make an expensive sale and take a deposit but not so quick to stick to their side of the deal it seems!
And after reading the reviews on here I'm seriously concerned they are a company in trouble who can't fulfill the orders they're taking deposits for.
If they'd been honest from the start we could have made a more informed decision.
We've still not been given a delivery date and are now seriously considering cancelling and buying it from Dreams.

Excellent service and many a bargain to be had!

I've bought from Beautyexpert several times now. There are always plenty of bargains and the service is very quick.
My only slight reservation is the packaging of individual items is sometimes a little damaged or dirty which isn't great if you're buying as a gift.
