Review of Protyre Autocare

Decent Garage

Good garage, friendly and professional staff. Good for tyres, MOT's etc... My car failed the MOT, their quote was far too expensive for me, had the work done elsewhere as Protyre won't allow you to source your own parts (but I saved £350 by doing it)
They restested it once the work was done free-of-charge, so all good... Will use them again for MOT and tyres but not for mechanical work as its too pricey for my wallet...

When Greed Destroys a Profitable Business

eBay’s management — what a shining beacon of integrity. Their tireless mission to meddle with sellers and bloat their already obscene profits is, frankly, inspiring. And now, with "Simple Delivery" to add to the circus, they’re really spoiling us. Surely it's about time someone in the UK set up a half-decent seller-owned platform and did the charitable thing: put this poor, deranged creature called eBay out of its obvious suffering.

Excellent sign up - Let Down By Cheap and Nasty Dinosaur Router

Excellent sign up, communication and today my Internet was made live. Installation was very professional, no problems with it, seems stable and I am getting over the speed promised... BUT BeFibre... You need to change your hopeless router, the laughable size of the Heights Router and the lack of basic functions like WPS is awful. A huge plastic box with hardly any components inside. Please provide customers with a decent compact router. This is a very poor offering indeed and the WIFI coverage is weak...

Hi John, thanks for the feedback for the install experience and the router. Most customers are happy with the router and set up, however we know some people want to get a little bit more technical. This will be passed though to the team for review.

Review what exactly?

I have only just signed up and they are asking for a review. What am I supposed to review? So its a 1 star for asking for a review for the sake of it when there is nothing to review. If I win a few grand then naturally, once it's in my bank account I will alter my review to 5 stars. The welcoming me aboard email was nice, thank you for that except stop plagueing people for meaningless reviews.

Utter and total joke company, complete waste of time...

What an utter and total joke company... Six weeks after I submitted an item for appraisal I received the following reply (after I called to complain they had not replied) ... "Thank you again for your submission. Upon carefully reviewing your item, we are unable to offer it for sale. Please note that Sotheby’s adheres to specific guidelines that ensure we accept items we have both the expertise on and the market to sell"

Customer service poor, goods had not been dispatched

I think they have something of a meltdown at
Goggles4u UK as they normally have good scores on TP. I did not receive my order, I wrote to them and still have not received a reply after a couple of reminders... They said they dispatched my glasses on the 10th of July. This was a lie. I notice that Royal Mail only received the goods on the 16th. Still no word from them and I see they had a few bad reviews during the past few days with similar complaints. Not happy and will give them a wide birth in the future...

STAY CLEAR: Increasing price by over 100% - Indian Call Center a Disaster

Been with Now Broadband for years and in one go they want to increase the price by 100%. They are having real problems handling calls from all their angry customers at the moment, so are using a dodgy Indian call center to take the overflow. I spent 30 minutes holding to be told by the operator when I told them in a nice tone of voice that the price hike was ridiculous, I was warned "not to use that kind of language". Well that is me finished with Now after being a loyal customer for 5 years. I will also cancel my NOW TV subscriptions as well. Stay clear of NOW broadband, they are going through a chaotic period and seems to be in meltdown... I eventually spent over one hour on the phone...

CEX website is not fit for purpose

It's been going on for years. CEX a company dealing in tech who cannot build a simple, fit for purpose, functioning website with proper stock control. I have just wasted two hours of my time and fuel driving to branches to buy products they list as having the products in stock but don't. The staff are very open about the problem, it seems to be the bane of their lives as well. You cannot even call a branch to double check. I now have the telephone numbers of a few of my local branches which I shall be making public. As for CEX, how are you going to compensate me for my wasted time and fuel? I await your reply...

Review of Vinted UK

Vinted are OK until you have a problem

When everything goes well then Vinted is fine. But to measure the substance of any company you need to see how they deal with problems when they arise. Vinted stinks at customer service. Yodel damaged the goods, I had paid for the extra protection and vinted customer services is nonexistent. They just keep asking me to send images of the damage I have already sent. All the message are copy & paste, no human involvement, nobody there to help... Disgusting.... Won't be using them again...

Stop trying to force people to use the…

Stop trying to force people to use the new self checkout tills at your St John's branch in Worcester. STOP your staff hounding customers waiting at checkouts, trying to cajoul them into using the self service checkouts. Older people love to have a chat with the cashier, for some old people its sadly the biggest chance they get to chat. We do not work for Sainsbury's, so protect peoples jobs and put people back onto the tills, we are not paid as cashiers...

Do not buy online from B&Q

Do not by online from B&Q. if you have an issue or want to return faulty goods then forget it. Their customer service is nonexistent and you will left hanging on the phone for more than 1 hour. Disgraceful that such a major brand treats its customers in such a shoddy fashion. Look at their TrustPilot score and the fact they do not answer complaints and you will realise they are a bunch of scammers...

Price Increase by Stealth

Been a subscriber for years. Just checked PayPal and saw that my £7.99 subscription rate was changed to £9.99 in July of this year. Double checked, no emails informing me of a price increase. Seems to have been applied by stealth.

I love Readly, but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

Review of Three broadband

DO NOT BUY: Broadband Not Fit For Purpose

I live in a very good coverage area, received broadband router and tried IT in all locations around my house on all floors, in all windows, on all sides of the house. Fastest speed I achieved measured using Ookla was 12Mbps download and 15Mbps upload. Total joke... Should have taken more notice of the TP reviews and the poor 1.6 rating for this service. Three UK should withdraw this product from sale until they can provide a decent service level on 4G or 5G is rolled out UK wide. DO NOT CONTRACT FOR THIS SERVICE, YOU WILL BE VERY DISSAPOINTED!

Review of easyfundraising

Questionable change to their Terms & Conditions

Just closed my account. They have updated their T&C's to state that any money that cannot be paid to a third party's can be kept and used for any purpose they deem fit.

This is scandalous. Any breakage (money that cannot be paid) should go to charity... FULL STOP! Anything else is extremely questionable and bordering on being sleazy, especially 'or for its internal business purposes (including retaining the funds).' !!!!

25. Interpretation: For the purposes of this Section D, the right to ”re-appropriate funds” shall mean the right for Easyfundraising to use or apply the relevant monies as Easyfundraising determines in its sole discretion including, without limitation, making donations to other Good Causes, funding prizes, enhancing other Donations, undertaking marketing or promotional activities, or for its internal business purposes (including retaining the funds).

Review of EDF

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Rotten to the core. God forbid if you want to speak to them!

EDF have one of the worst levels of customer service I have experienced. From the comical text system that is as useless as a chocolate fire guard to the same utter crap mimicked on WhatsApp. Then there is the catastrophic telephone service. You hold for ages only to be fed constant recorded chaff then cut off before you can speak to somebody. They also fail to pay sign up bonuses and make you chase for them, but you cannot get any sense from them or speak to a human being. The unmentionable head of EDF customer services (whose name is on the bottom of every letter from the company but EDF complained to TP that its private information) should not be allowed to stock shelves at ALDI. Disgusting treatment of customers! UPDATE: After numerous calls and texts, EDF have finally paid the sign-up credit. They tried their hardest not to, saying it can take three months, even though their website states 40 days and in an email I received 30 to 60 days. They have not got a clue and I believe this is an unofficial policy at EDF hoping that customers forget and they don't have to pay.

Review of Bulb

Turn Your Bulb OFF and save money!

Another company that decided to increase their prices by the maximum allowed by OFGEM. A few minutes ago I dumped BULB for EDF who currently offer a cheaper fixed guaranteed tariff until November 2022 with no exit fees and a £75 account credit, so if energy prices drop in the meantime, you can switch again without consequences. I was impressed with BULB at the beginning, but unfortunately on so many fronts they spawned into your below average loathed supplier.

Update: Curtis, you will be more expensive than EDF. Bulb have become a mess on so many fronts, from overcharging, huge price increases, spiralling customer complaints and the resignation of your co-founder. You are also in serious financial difficulties and the company had to defer £55 million in loan payments! I am sure you know the score?

Hi John,

I'm sorry to hear you've chosen to switch away from Bulb. We've had to increase our prices as a result of rising wholesale costs. We only have the one variable tariff, which means it always reflects the true cost of energy. For reference, wholesale cost has increased 20% since May and doubled since this time last year. If wholesale costs reduce then we'll pass these savings along.

I understand you're leaving Bulb, but if you want to discuss this further feel free to send an email to feedback@bulb.co.uk.

All the best,
Curtis

Review of Boohoo

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Poor customer service and arrogant, don't care attitude

Unfortunately throwaway fashion brand BooHoo use Hermes for delivery which is a disaster in it's own right. Secondly and more troubling is BooHoo's customer service, which is non existent. You can wait days for an answer (if you get one at all) and naturally they do not have a phone number. The game of Russian roulette begins by emailing or sending them a FB messenger message. So, you pay for your goods and you take your chance. When things go wrong it's tough luck, they will not be there to help you!
