Turn Your Bulb OFF and save money!

Another company that decided to increase their prices by the maximum allowed by OFGEM. A few minutes ago I dumped BULB for EDF who currently offer a cheaper fixed guaranteed tariff until November 2022 with no exit fees and a £75 account credit, so if energy prices drop in the meantime, you can switch again without consequences. I was impressed with BULB at the beginning, but unfortunately on so many fronts they spawned into your below average loathed supplier.

Update: Curtis, you will be more expensive than EDF. Bulb have become a mess on so many fronts, from overcharging, huge price increases, spiralling customer complaints and the resignation of your co-founder. You are also in serious financial difficulties and the company had to defer £55 million in loan payments! I am sure you know the score?

Hi John,

I'm sorry to hear you've chosen to switch away from Bulb. We've had to increase our prices as a result of rising wholesale costs. We only have the one variable tariff, which means it always reflects the true cost of energy. For reference, wholesale cost has increased 20% since May and doubled since this time last year. If wholesale costs reduce then we'll pass these savings along.

I understand you're leaving Bulb, but if you want to discuss this further feel free to send an email to feedback@bulb.co.uk.

All the best,
Curtis
