The system worked until we changed internet supplier. Since then we have not had the use of the boost feature. This is the most useful feature and in spite of deleting the app and going from a standing start, we cannot get ‘boost’ to work. Have tried everything that we can think of. The system must be easier to set up and operate than it is at the moment.
Absolutely rubbish RT510TX
Controls neither my wife or I can use
Comes on or go's off wasting money
Our gas charge is more units with a new boiler than our old 15 year old one
I'm changing this junk as soon as I can ,even if it costs an engineer and new Control unit I'll be saving money.
If these controls are to be installed as part of a new boiler package insist
Thy do not use this rubbish

The instructions given with thermostats and receivers are not fit for purpose. The pairing process does not work if following what is written in the “quick guide”. Nb. There are no complete instructions available anywhere; the “quick guide” is it.

The online bot for customer support doesn't get you very far but once in the queue for Tech Support our internet thermostat receiver problem was sorted with a couple of emails.
I ordered the RT510RF. I had a technician install it, they could not get it to successfully pair. I tried and could not get it to successfully pair (I'm an Engineer). In total we had tried 10 times to successfully pair. I reached out to Salus who asked me to video the process I did, they told me I did not wait long enough before switching the on/off control quickly after switching the boiler control (this is not in the set-up instructions) noted by salus. Multiple e-mails after the last week with moving goalposts and demands to video again and again I decided to work out how much of my time had been wasted with pairing attempts and multiple e-mails daily this ran into almost £200 in wasted time. Therefore, I took the decision to "cut my losses" and buy a Honeywell Home DT4R at an additional £74.89 which was a saving on the money I had wasted dealing with the awful Salus Technical Services. I had it fitted and fully functional in 1 hr and contacted the seller of the Salus for a refund on the faulty product. I would not recommend these products or the service to anyone, I would advise spend the extra £20 for another brand.

I had issues pairing my RT310iTX thermostat with the RXRT510 receiver. The Salus support team replied quickly and provided very clear, step-by-step instructions. Thanks to their guidance, I was able to resolve the problem, and everything is working perfectly now.
Great customer service — fast, professional, and very helpful. Highly recommended!

have the RT520RF, do not buy this product!
It is really complicated and annoyting to use. It's not at all user friendly, beliieve it or not, in hte manual it says; "Note :
Whilst you are following this procedure, if no key is pressed on the thermostat for approximately ten seconds it will return to its main screen, and you will have to start the procedure again."
just one example of how crap this thing is!

I needed a replacement option for my Salus boiler thermostat, which had been operating perfectly for over 20 years and my enquiry to Salus was immediate and spot on. The upgraded version is on its way.
The service is excellent, the products are ultra reliable and it is nice to know you can trust a supplier with confidence.

We have a salus RT310 fitted to our static caravan since 2019/2020 and has been very useful, it suddenly decided to stop allowing us in to the app and just went back to the manage device page, so when got Down to our van I tried resetting everything but it didn't work, so emailed the helpline and wasn't expecting any worthwhile help,
How wrong I was, an engineer called Steven S emailed me back promptly, he then preceeded to walk me through all the options, but unfortunately nothing worked, he asked me to send pictures and informed me that it was just out of warranty, but said he had one, and would check to see if it was working
And would send it out to me FOC.
It arrived the next day and I went to the van to try it, I managed to get working fine but I couldn't get it to link to the boiler, so back on to steven and he again promptly talked me through the process of syncing with the boiler.
So all I can say is excellent service which is so unusual these days
And big THANK YOU, Steven S and Salus for a brilliant service

I recently installed a range of SALUS Smarthome products and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results! The installation process was a breeze, and the user-friendly nature of these devices had me up and running in no time.
The functionality and efficiency of these products have truly transformed my home into a smart home. I've noticed a significant improvement in the convenience and control I have over my home systems. Whether it's adjusting the temperature or controlling the lights, everything is now just a tap away on my phone.
What impresses me the most is the seamless integration of all the devices. They work together flawlessly, creating a cohesive and efficient system that has made managing my home a joy.
The quality of SALUS Smarthome products is top-notch. They're reliable, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. They blend in perfectly with my home decor while providing an advanced technological edge.
I highly recommend SALUS Smarthome products to anyone looking to upgrade their home. It's an investment that pays off in comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. Five stars for SALUS - for their exceptional products and the smart home experience they provide!
Final edit re your comment: " there is nothing in our app that can cause your battery to drain at such a rate."
My phone begs to differ. Flat in three hours from 100% charge on a battery fitted by Apple, not three weeks previously, after installing the RT310i app. Uninstalling it and we're back to normal.
If Salus are going to bury their heads in the sand over this, and continue to respond with commentary that contradicts itself, we'll get nowhere fast.
My thanks however do go to Amazon for quickly organising a return and refund on your recommendation.
Response to Salus' edit:
I really do not understand the response. Was there or wasn't there a setting in the phone that would have solved this battery drain issue (which was my initial query)? At the time of your Helpdesk response it was a clear "no", now, it's a maybe.
Frankly with all this uncertainty, and the fact a new product was clearly faulty (showing a general lack of Quality Assurance processes and procedures, it seems I made the right choice in returning the product.
As a response to Salus' reply below....
When I emailed your company for information on the excessive battery consumption of my phone, your response was, and I quote: "There should be no settings that affect this within the app, you don't need to leave the app open, so you could just close it down fully and see if this improves."
So if there is/was setting that I should have tried, you certainly did not mention them to me in your response. I agree, that if you had offered me more support on app settings, we might have solved the issue together, but the above was the only information on the app that you provided.
You asked me to provide information on the Bridge LED colour when the device went offline. Easier said than done as every time I got to the Bridge it was back online.
I'm sorry to say that after reading the negative reviews on Amazon, it was clear that the product has failings, possibly because it is unsuitable for newer routers and Mesh systems, but who knows.
As a last resort I asked if the system would work if I simply used it locally (unplugging the Bridge), I was told it would once it was initially set to Manual Mode. Result: it didn't, it still kept going offline, waking each morning to a cold house.
My advice remains, look elsewhere for a more up to date system as nothing else I own, old and new has issues with my Mesh wifi system.
I must have got some really bad Friday night examples.
The RT310i Smart Thermostat was hopeless, dropping connections between the controller and the outboard thermostat, and between the controller and the Bridge. It was disconnected more than it was connected.
The app was constantly running in the background, taking a brand new recently installed genuine Apple battery from 100% to zero in just three hours. The only way to solve this (according to Salus) was to swipe the app closed each time I use it! What a joke. No other app needs this doing.
So 9 times out of 10 the heating wouldn't turn on, or turn off, or show on my device.
Utterly USELESS!
Then there was the RT310 basic thermostat......click click click click. How loud do these relays need to be? Kept me awake all night clicking every 10 minutes, and for no reason, the heating was off!
Bought from Amazon, luckily as I was able to send them both back for a full refund.
My advice: Avoid.

The Salus thermostat is great. It was easy to install and works as expected.
I can control water and heat temps from their device (can be mounted on the wall or used with a stand)
Also, you can use their user friendly app from your mobile to control, schedule temps of your boiler.
Special thanks to Joseph from after sales service. They helped me with my queries and even provided a replacement gateway device for free.
Thanks
Massive thanks to Dan and all at salus.
Dan arrived at a customer of mine to help me with some wiring issues I had.
Not sure other companies would do this at 17.30 on a Monday night?
The customer service is fantastic and the products from salus are just getting better and better 👌
Much appreciated, salus. My faith in your technical services and products is 👌
Customer service was excellent, one of the best experiences I've ever had from a company. Emails were personal and friendly, as well as very helpful throughout, with a resolution at the end.
A little back story, 18 month ago the landlord had a new boiler fitted, with a Salus RT510BC+ (RT510TX thermostat & RXBC605 receiver - installed in the boiler). Salus had nothing to do with the install, nor did I have any input/influence of the boiler make or "smart" product used.
RT510BC+ works "wirelessly" between thermostat or receiver, but is a "closed loop" and can't be accessed by a phone or Home Assistant for example. I wanted this feature, so did some research and it appeared the IT500BM thermostat was/is compatible with the RXBC605 receiver (and 2 other receiver models I believe from memory).
So, I bought a IT500BM, and followed the instructions to pair it to the RXBC605 receiver, however it was unsuccessful. After searching online I found 1 forum post suggesting earlier version numbers of RXBC605 receivers are not compatible, I opened up my boiler to find out that my version was V0.5, but I had seen V3 online, and the forum post suggested this also.
I contacted Salus for information/assistance, initially they believed the RXBC605 V0.5 was compatible, and asked me to follow pairing instruction included in their email, and to provide a video of the process to their Whatsapp number, to eliminate any user error, which is understandable. I send in the video of the failed pairing between IT500BM and RXBC605 V0.5 and explained, I could re-pair the RT510TX thermostat immediately, and reiterated I believed it was a version compatibility issue.
Salus got back to me and agreed it was probably a version compatibility issue and they would send out a new RXBC605 V3 receiver free of charge. A few hours later I received another email stating they had done some internal testing with a RXBC605 V0.5 and V3 and could confirm they had replicated my issue, and they were not aware of the issue until now.
The RXBC605 V3 receiver arrived the next day, and within 20 mins I had switched the receivers, very easy to do as the connectors are push fit, and the IT500BM thermostat paired immediately (within the timeframe the instructions state). I now can control my heating via my phone and Home Assistant (3rd party integration).
Again, I can't stress highly enough how pleasant the customer service experience was, and it really does feel like there are some people at Salus who genuinely want to make good products.

I needed a replacement for a part that I'd lost. James, at Salus, let me know I'd need to buy the whole unit (not just the part) if I wanted a new one, so offered to try to find what I needed from second hand stock. He found it, sent it on and didn't ask for payment. I don't often receive customer service like this and am very impressed. Salus now have a loyal customer.
When my boiler stopped pairing with the thermostat, Joseph from technical support could not have been any more helpful.
He promptly replied to any of my emails and was always very helpful.
Through a process of elimination he was able to diagnose the fault and told me which piece of equipment I needed to replace.
Everything is back working now and I did not need to call out a heating engineer so he saved me a small fortune!
Would not hesitate to recommend the technical department and would definitely use them again should the need arise.
