I would not recommend RCIB and regret not reading the reviews before purchasing a policy. I was persistently contacted via email, text, and phone regarding proof of my no-claims bonus. After providing the requested documentation, I was informed, without any supporting evidence, that I had allegedly supplied incorrect information when taking out the policy. As a result, RCIB attempted to increase my premium by nearly £500 a year in addition to my existing payment. When I chose to cancel the policy, I was advised that cancellation would cost over £300 (minus the first instalment I had already paid). Furthermore, I received inconsistent information regarding the cancellation fee - on two consecutive days I was quoted one amount verbally, only to find that the written confirmation showed a fee £40 higher.
In total, I am being expected to pay almost £340 for 12 days of insurance coverage! I intend to escalate this matter as far as possible as I do not want others to experience the same poor service. Avoid this company at all costs!!

After cancelling my
Car insurance back in 2020 I was advised on a recorded call by RCIB staff that any fees would be waived, to then find out they hadn’t been. After attempting to raise a complaint with them via three different departments no less than 15 times I gave up, fast forward to last month 2025 they pass a debt to DCBL threatening bailiffs! Complaint is assigned to a chap called Aaron Mooney who recalled the debt and wiped it clean, assured me he was going to investigate what went wrong back in 2020 and compensate me, up until this point Aaron had been polite and helpful, then one day I call for an update and was lied to about call backs wasting my time waiting hours for calls that didn’t come! Then when I’m finally able to speak to Aaron his entire demeanour changed! I asked for someone else to take over my complaint and the next thing I know is that he has suddenly got a final response for me! Even though I had not yet received calls under my GDPR request as well as Aaron not having listened to them, offers a measly compensation amount! He even stated that RCIB had failed me for ignoring me 15 times when trying to complain the first time, and had that not have happened I wouldn’t have found myself being harassed by DCBL who use bailiffs to collect debts! Aaron’s attitude was very much changed on this call, (I think this is due to me asking someone more superior to look into my complaint) as I thought he hadn’t fully completed a full investigation and the amount of compensation should be more. This will now have to be passed onto the Financial Ombudsman as Aaron stated there would be no more discussions about the compensation and that no one else would be looking at my complain again and I could not have it escalated any higher than him!
I would advise anyone thinking of considering RCIB to fully research reviews for them as they don’t seem to be able to deal with mistakes and complaints very well, and should you need to have an issue dealt with, it’s more than likely you will be let down and end up at the ombudsman!
Gave quote, then called and changed the price. After changing price they charged 150 for cancellation

Thing you should know about Right Choice Insurance Brokers Ltd
First RICB are insurance brokers for other insurance like Aviva, they do no insure your car themselves, if you have problems the insurance will never talk to you, they ask you to call your broker, because of an non disclosure agreement.
Secondly they do not do the direct debit themselves, talking about my situation, they work with a company call Premfine, premfima pays RCIB £84.49 for that, another problem on its own, getting your money back.
I had wanted a car insurance, according to the rate I saw online RCIB look cheapest £109 for a plug-in electric hybrid, so i when for it, they asked me immedialy to pay the first 2 months premium and the rest 10 months later and other fees, which amounted to £237.23, that should have been a red flag which i ignored. than I thought I had a 8 No Claim Bonus, but it was 6 i submitted, which they decided to raise the premium from £109.00 to £199.00 monthly(£1,308 to £2,388 yearly)
so I went online with the right No claim bonus, found cheaper ones, I decided to cancel, it was just 8 days from sep 22nd to sep 30th 2025, after i cancelled they ask me to pay them another £86 for cancellation, can you imagine, together making £323.23 for an 8 days insurance(by law it is 14 days)
They are counting on your mistake to rip you off, if it is not you ncb, it is you traffic offence, not accidents, what has you fraffic office to do with them, you pay it privately without the insurance
Today is the 10/10/2025 we are still looking for solution, i have written and they are demanding the £86, and also keep the £237.24 i already paid

Absolutely ridiculous experience with RCIB. Honestly WORST BROKER AND STAY FAR AWAY. They asked me for details about my past job, which I provided honestly, and now they’re suddenly asking for proof of occupation as if I gave current employment details. Because of their mistake, they’ve increased my policy by £500 without any clear explanation or fair review.
Communication has been extremely poor and inconsistent. I’ve been passed around and treated like I did something wrong when I simply followed their instructions. I’ve sent what was asked, and I’m still being penalised for their confusion.

Complete rip off. Sorting insurance from my daughters car. Applied through Go Compare. Didn't notice that the time since passed test was one year and one month. Should have just been one year.
RCIB then tried to charge £189 for changing back to one year. Policy hadn't even started so was able to cancel. They then try to charge £145 cancellation fee. Don't touch them with a barge pole
