Tires changed, John was Brilliant

Booked in to get two tires changed. I booked in for half 3 and I finished work early so I phoned in to request an earlier booking. John on the phone was very helpful.
Turns out both tires were the wrong size and thankfully they had the correct tires. John was excellent and provided a great service. Any time I need my tires changed I know where to go.

Over promised and under delivered

I booked a tyre tracking & alignment assessment online via the booking system. I turned up at the agreed time, only to be told that they were too busy to see me and asked me to rebook for another day. So I returned a few days later at the agreed time and waited in reception for 50 minutes before my car was checked. The manager did apologise for the delay, but clearly the online booking system appointments don't match supply & demand. Whilst waiting in the reception area there were a few other disgruntled customers due to a delay with their timed appointment. Unfortunately Protyre over promised and under delivered! I did eventually get my tyre alignment done but wasted almost 3 hours of my time over the two dates I had booked.

Forgot to fit my tyres.

Dropped off two loose wheels for new tyres to be fitted during a one hour booked slot (so they didn’t even need to take them off the car). Returned after 90 minutes to find that they had forgotten to fit them. Had to take time out of my day several days later to go and pick them up once fitted. Then when I did get back it took ages for me to be served (another customer had had his ordered tyres lost and was getting very annoyed in reception), and when I got home I realised no valve caps had been fitted. Have had very good service in the past from these guys but it seemed like new faces were present this time.

Very poor untimely service

I had a flat tyre on Sunday 28th September and booked online for a new tyre to replace the existing one at Protyre in Charmister at 9.30am on Monday 29th. I arrived at 9.20am and handed over my keys, there were already two cars on the ramps, and three people in the waiting room. People came in for various services and most were told that one employee had not turned up that morning and that meant there was a delay, but bookings were still being taken for later I'm the day and throughout the week. I waited for one and three quarters of an hour for my tyre to be changed,and even then the person on reception forgot to inform me thar my car was ready, it wasn't until a colleague of his asked me west car I was waiting for, which was on the forecourt in the car park.Had I known that it would be such a farce I would simply have gone elsewhere, and will do so in the future.

Bournemouth are superb for classics

Had 5 tyres replaced on a near 65 year old car by the guys in Bournemouth a few months ago, and totally forgot to drop a review until now.
They were superb throughout, and considerate of the age of the car, as well as confirming lifting points on the car beforehand.
Cannot fault the service, and their ability to find and fit weird and old sized tyres within about 2 days of me contacting them.

25 September 25very pleased my experience

25 September 25. went for some help when a warning sign for my tyres came on. Tried them before. Very impressed had time to help and answer questions. Guy on desk, i think called Simon and his colleague really helpful. Noting too much trouble and I did have several questions. Will be my first choice locally. Nice people and decent coffee machine.

Aggressive staff

The gentleman was more concerned with screaming at someone who had parked their car in the car park to use the shop across the road (it was very aggressive shouting and chasing after him) than finishing explaining the work being done on my car. He also then told me the tyre that was replaced by them less than a year ago needed changing. Felt like I was just being extorted for money

Shocking !!!

I went to Protyre Charminster Bournemouth on a Thursday (quiet) there was just one customer sat waiting so I did not have to wait for a customer assistant... however it took him 15 minutes tapping away at his pc. The final quote was £295 for my 3 tyres, rather high I thought, but he said it cant be done until mid day the next day. (Currently 09.15) so I walked away. I went to another tyre shop, (Kinson Tyres) quote took 1 minute, the exact same tyres as Protyre, however the quote was £100 lower. All 3 tyres were all fitted before I could drink my tea !! Will never go to Protyre again!!

A shadow of its former self

Took a slow puncture in. It was a cracked rim not the tyre & was recommended sureweld (who were excellent & did the work same day without booking!)
Protyre didn’t take tyre off so I had to return to them and then back to the welder. Anyway, got a replacement tyre ordered (sidewall was perished). Returned the wheel to protyre but tyre hadn’t come in. Accepted next day.
Next day (Friday) I had the busiest day of my life (paid off mortgage, divorce and that kinda stuff) and by the end of the day thought to myself ‘protyre haven’t called about my wheel!’.
Anyway, it’s Saturday and after a busy morning in Poole, I drove to Protyre and asked why I’ve not been phoned to advise of my wheel/tyre.
‘Oh yeah, it’s done’.
So frustrating and nothing like the service I’ve come to expect from this branch… the usual front desk manager wasn’t there so not sure if he’s away or has left the business?
Anyway the fella gave me £20 off as goodwill, but I’m still really dissatisfied with the whole affair!
Nowhere near good enough and £20 isn’t enough to deter me from a bad review I’m afraid.
