Only thing they’re out for is your money. The rudest patronising and ignorant man dealing with customer queries. Being a young girl and being spoken to in this manner is extremely upsetting. Doesn’t give you the time of day when explaining the situation just shuts you down immediately. Pig.

PARASITES!!!!!!!!!!

Extortionate. I parked in my own allocated spot and they are trying to charge me 400 pounds for tickets and 200 extra for legal fees. They knew this was my spot but continued anyway. I will be taking legal action. PARASITES!!!!!

Harassment & Extortionate

I'd have chosen 0 for the rating but that option is not available.

I'm a resident of Minter Road, Barking Riverside for the last 9 years. Earlier this month, on a Saturday the 8th, my friend and her son, stay overnight and parked her car on my marked private bay on my advice and with my consent as it was late into the night and there was no visitors parking available nearby. As such she acted in good faith and didn't try to contravene any restrictions. Next morning on the 9th realised she has got a parking ticket, PCN # 47356. The time on the PCN was 6:16 AM in the morning and location mentioned 'Barking Riverside'. I initially appealed on her behalf with the above facts requesting reversal of the PCN mentioning I was not the registered keeper of the vehicle following which I was advised by Link Parking that the registered keeper of the vehicle will need to make the appeal which was then actioned. Today, 18th July'23, I was notified by my friend that Link Parking has rejected the appeal.

Over the last 9 years time and again, during peak school run or during busy weekends with events happening at Barking Rivergate Centre or at other times, my private parking bay has been occupied by cars and sometimes even after trying to reach out to Link Parking to resolve there was no help forthcoming or no penalty imposed. There have been times when my private parking bay has been occupied by cars for over 24 hours but still Link Parking failed to penalise the offenders. The point I'm trying to make is Link Parking failed to protect me, a resident of the area for 9 years, when it was needed but it's penalising, targeting my near and dear ones which is not acceptable.

Link Parking has to realise this kind of ways of working is nothing short of harassment & extortionate. For a moment even if I consider Link Parking was just doing its job but when the appeal with right facts is rejected it does not bore well. What happened to act of goodwill? If as a resident I'm not entitled to that who else it would be? It's embarrassing for me and traumatising for my friend who would now think twice before visiting me again. I'm well aware if this goes to court Link Parking would lose as issuing a ticket without an exact location would not stand. The exact location was my private bay whereas the location mentioned on the ticket is a generic 'Barking Riverside' with no road name or a post code. If it was my car I'd have gone to court but to save my friend all the trauma and the hassle I'm going to pay the fine but I sincerely request senior management of Link Parking to look into the matter and cancel PCN 47356 and refund me back.

Am looking forward to a favourable outcome from this.

Thanks & Regards,
Nirmalya Chakraborty

Parasites on the community

Parasites on the community, the people who work for them must be absolute scum. Parking in my own spot for 6months, 1 morning tape fails on the permit and it falls in the dash at front (sticking out). Gave me a ticket. The parking officer knows my exact car and that this is MY private spot. I would absolutely love to bring this company down, as often its just harrassment and extortion.....no idea why companies like this are allowed to enforce these rules and extorte people.

The staff are awful to deal with and down right nasty.

Martin Gardener is the director and should be shamed, can be found on linkdin, (information rightly disclosed from .gov company info). Owner of previous sex shops...tells you everything.

Parking ticket on sheltered housing with Livewest Trowbridge

Livewest have allowed Link parking to give parking tickets to family member visiting elderly relatives, they only provide two permits to residents so not all family members who visit can park. Link parking did not respond to an appeal then increased the fine and then said they had responded which they didn't its just a tactic to increase the fine to £100 there is no recourse and a risk that they will give to a debt collector. Livewest have washed their hands of this situation which is causing impact on family members visiting Altogether a very disappointing experience and going by the other reviews this company is of concern.

Terrible Customer Service, Terrible Company

Link Parking are possibly the worst parking company I have ever had to deal with. They operate for free, and the only income they receive is from fining people so it's in their interest to fine as many people as they can.

They're customer service is terrible. They have no sympathy and are incredibly rude. They've argued with me other the phone, argued with my partner over emails and have even gone back on their word numerous times.

They took over from Gemini without warning residents, then just began fining everyone as they changed the rules (again without warning anyone) and refused to listen to appeals. They promised a refund, then after paying the fine they advised that they're unable to issue a refund now that the fine has been paid.

If you're a property company looking for a parking company, PLEASE don't choose Link. I know it's tempting because they're cheap, but it's not worth it for the residents.

Parasites

Terrible customer service, rude and insulting.

I am sure they never even read the appeals that are sent to them. Regardless of evidence or reasoning given no amendments are ever made.

Very happy to take money from permanent residents, even though that is surely not the purpose of their service. The service should be to help residents not make their lives harder.

A truly terrible company. Making money whilst doing very very little. Parasites on our society.

Thieves

Thieves. Regardless of evidence given when appealing a ticket they will always decline. I’m a permanent resident in the building the car park is there for. I’ve given proof of address, with a picture of me and my parking permit of which I bought an extra one for my partners car and been rejected my appeal. They’ll send threatening letters and raise the fine in an attempt to bully. Customer service are rude and blunt.

Has anyone been taken to court for not paying the fine?I refuse to pay it as I’m not from the area I parked in did not know it was private parking and did not see any signs stating this as there was loads of cars in the car park and I was in a rush as I was late for an appointment tried explain this to them but would not have any of it and now they are threatening me that it will go up to £160 and that if I don’t pay it will go to debt management

If I could give this company minus 5…

If I could give this company minus 5 stars I would. I am a pensioner on a fixed income, with health issues. I forgot to put the visitors permit on my car, a family member was in my bay for a few days visiting. By the time I went to my car next, 2 tickets on it, obvious to see after 1 the owner hadn't returned to the car. They are nothing but a load of bandits, and that is being polite. Anyway told them I couldn't afford it after the appeal failed of course. I am now at the stage where the so called debt has been sent to BW Legal, another charming company. They are aware I cannot pay, I've supplied an I and E form. They have now frozen it for 30 days for me to get advice. I've already told them I'm prepared to go to court and to jail if necessary, but they are not getting a penny from me.
