Lied about taking back gloves

TLDR; Geezers customer said they'd take my gloves back if they kept chipping, then didn't want to take back gloves they didn't see as faulty but the paint and stitching was coming off within the first couple days of use, if you look at my Google review there is images to prove this.

Received pair of Halo gloves, they came with a chip, no issues as they took them back gladly and gave me a new pair. New pair started to chip after one session, got in contact with them, was told if they get worse that they will take them back again within 6 months, they did indeed get worse, I was then told they refuse to take them back and "that just happens sometimes".

Absolutely baffled at this attitude. Had to put a refund through with my bank which (obviously) was nearly instantly accepted.

You'd think a UK company would understand you can't sell something for a high impact sport that chips within the first week of using, I'd understand if I had used these gloves relentlessly for months or years but this chip was after a single hour of technical bag work and sparring. These are £100 genuine leather gloves. The stitching on the inside and on the cuff also started to come undone which was also brushed off as a none issue (once again all of this happened in the first couple of weeks having them and I only box 2-3 times a week)

I'm assuming it's an issue with the white paint as this happened twice for me in a row. Otherwise I love these gloves, very comfy, feel good, fit my hand perfectly. Shuch a shame that the customer service (which alot of other people have agreed on) lacks, I ended up calling them back and forth around 5 times and it was always "I need to see what my manager says".

If you are using this company beware, they try to overrule your consumer rights like they did mine, if they try to do the same for you please remind them you have 30 days to return goods you do not see as fit for purpose.

I bought a pair of the G-Boxing Cuban HFF1 Sparring Boxing Gloves. The thumb position and size means that you batter your thumbs, every time you connect. You cant grip your thumb into a fist, because the thumb is pinned

I tried them twice to make sure. I then went back to Geezers within 14 days. They said, and I quote “We would be happy to have these back for inspection and we can either exchange or refund your order.” I had already told them I had worn them twice. I then posted them back at my expense!

When they got them back, they then did a ‘full 180’ on their previous promise and said “We have decided that the issue you are having is not in fact a fault, but down to the design of the gloves. The feel of the gloves you have returned are the same as the others we have in stock. Unfortunately, it may just be that these gloves are not an ideal fit for you…The gloves are still in good condition, so I would suggest selling them.”

Best of British service eh! Absolutely shocking. So, if you have no thumbs, and the best part of £200 to waste, then perhaps you’ll end up happy. Like all the other one star reviewers on here, I will never shop there again, and I will let everyone at the club know that Geezers are just that!

We always do our best to assist our customers and will gladly offer a refund or exchange if an item is faulty or unused. However, after inspecting the gloves we weren’t able to identify any issues, and as they have been used, we are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or replacement in this case.

Ideally, it would be best to try the gloves on before use to ensure they are the right fit, as hand shapes and thumb positions can vary from person to person and this particular model may not suit everyone equally.

We’ve received excellent feedback on this model from other fighters, but we completely understand that not every glove will be the perfect fit for every individual.

Once again, we’re sorry that this wasn’t the outcome you were hoping for.

Quality equipment and service

I ordered the gloves and shoes on Thursday, and they arrived Friday.
I accidentally ordered the wrong gloves (14oz laced instead of Velcro), a quick call sorted that out, and they sent a confirmation email for peace of mind.

My first leather gloves so I had to break them in on Friday with some bag work and sparred Saturday. The gloves are comfy and protective. The shoes feel light and secure on the matts.

Quality gear and amazing service.

Excellent!

I’ve ordered from this company 3/4 times now and everything has been spot on. The only issue I had was with a double end bag. One of the tie downs was brittle as if it had been stored in the sun. I contacted them and they sent out a replacement which arrived a few days later so 10/10 for customer service even when there are issues. All the other items I have ordered have been spot on. I was a bit reluctant to order from them given there trustpilot rating but it’s genuinely unjustified in my experience. Have just placed a further order.

Elite Pro Gloves

Ordered some gloves, but didn't like the colour, so I bought a different pair. Arrived quickly on both occasions and was refunded for the original pair really quickly. Very happy with my gloves and the service.

Extremely poor quality boxing gloves and customer care

I ordered a pair of boxing gloves, the leather starting cracking and fell off the gloves within first putting them on. I wrote to the customer service team who said that I send them back and then they could send me a new pair, however the new gloves wouldn’t arrive for another week. I then told them this was too long and to just give me a refund to which they bluntly said that they had already sent the new pair and they couldn’t see where I had said I didn’t require a replacement. I now am having to return another pair of gloves from them which I hadn’t wanted and still haven’t seen my refund.

We are very sorry that the customer service team did not pass on to the returns team that you required a refund instead of an exchange.

The sales team explained to you that unfortunately now the order has been dispatched again we can not issue a refund until the order is sent back.

We have provided you with a free return link to have them sent back free of charge. Once they are returned we will be happy to issue a full refund for them no problem.

It was purely just a mistake which we are sorry about.

I bought first an adidas 350 gloves

I bought first an adidas 350 gloves, it ripped apart after less than half a year even though it's not a cheap glove and the seller said he could not take responsobility over them, and now I bought the geezersboxing pro elite gloves and had an agreement with the seller to send it without tax which he agreed to, and I got charged by double tax because of his shipping company, so he said I could reject it, which is fibe, but a week later i find out that he never answered the shipping company mail about the return, and he wants me to pay for the return apperantly and I don't even know how much it costs since he never answered to the shipping company, so I could either accept the gloves or have them thrown to the trash and my money lost, all I want from him is a partial refund to make it all make sense a bit, p aid way too much for these!!

Have to pay for delivery and returns for something I have not received

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM
I ordered gloves and head guards I wanted to be delivered to Ireland it never mentioned about paying taxes. They gave a promo code 10% off. I got an email from when it was been delivered to say I need to pay €120.84 for them to be delivered. I refuse then I emailed they advised me to pay it or else they will deduct the money for delivery ( they were not delivered) and I the returns I never had them to return them. So I am down €50 for nothing. They said I got a discount so I should just pay the €120 I’m so mad. It’s how rude the emails were. I will never order from these and would advise people to stay away from these go to good suppliers like Fly. I will spread the word how bad this company is to family, friends, co workers also on all social media platform :-(

Unfortunately, when orders are made outside of the UK there are additional import/duty fees to pay; this is stated within our Delivery terms and conditions on our website. We can understand this is frustrating but we have no control over these fees.
If you are not happy to pay the import fees please refuse the parcel and it will be returned to us. We will then refund you minus the delivery fees.

Fumbled the order and many other errros…

Fumbled the order and many other errros costing lots of time and money. But but they don’t honor discounts and don’t work various hours and then up charge on shipping so returning it becomes very confusing very difficult indeed.

Super customer service from Geezers

Super customer service from Geezers, very polite.
Fast deliveries, sort out any delivery/return issues in a swift professional and efficient manner. Refunds are without a quibble when returned in the correct manner.
Quality of product is very good, happy with the several purchases we have received so far.
Will be definitely be buying more products in the future.

Honest review. Genuinely impressed

I placed an order on Wednesday evening and I hadn’t realised I’d accidentally ordered the same thing twice.
I received a call checking if I had made a mistake and when I confirmed I had he let me know he would refund it for me.

We received our order today. My son is really happy with his new boxing boots and I was happy with the price and service so thank you for such excellent service.

First class service.

First class service.

I wasn’t sure about ordering at first as they seemed to have quite a few negative reviews on Trustpilot so I started off ordering some gloves. They turned up quite quickly and all was okay.

Then I ordered another 4 items. All turned up, no problems other than the bands that hold the double end ball. They were brittle as if they had been in the sun to long. I called them to ask for a replacement, they asked for a picture, around 3 days later they arrived. Excellent customers service. I could not have asked for more.

Poor customer service - company taking advantage of people

I recently bought some boxing gloves from Geezers Boxing on Sunday and paid almost £10 for next day delivery. The order summary clearly stated that next day delivery was available if orders were made before 3pm. However, come Monday, my order had not arrived.

I emailed their customer service to ask for a refund, only to be told that any orders placed over the weekend would not be dispatched until Monday due to the warehouse being closed over the weekend. They directed me to their FAQ page where this clause was buried at the bottom.

I don't have the time to scour their entire website to determine if my delivery will arrive on time. They poorly advertise their delivery policies to force customers to pay extra fees without delivering the promised service. This crucial information should be made clear during the checkout process, and the next day delivery option should not be available on weekends.

This experience felt like a scam. Do not order directly from Geezers Boxing—you're much better off using Amazon.

As we explained over emails all orders placed over the weekend are sent on a Monday. This is stated on our website very clearly.

We were not willing to refund you the shipping charges as everything was done as stated on our website.

Lots of other companies where you place orders on a Sunday would not then deliver the item on Monday.

We feel the review of a 1 star is very unfair.

Frustrating.

The 3rd pair were dispatched as soon as they recieved the damaged ones. Just a very frustrating experience.
