Takes ages to dry
Up until a few months ago we had a secondhand tumble dryer which we had 10years and it was old when we bought it .. we could do a production line with washing and drying 1hr quick wash and 1 hour dry time cost us a bit on the electric but got it done ... it broke eventually... got a new Candy heatpump one all singing and dancing . Only trouble is it takes forever to dry and its not a reversible tumble so items get twisted up and on average items are in the dryer around 3-4 hours . Per hour cost less to run but overall about same cost as my old one that did it in an hour ... not happy 😒also you stick it on Dry and it stops at wardrobe dry which is still damp ....
Candy washing machine is absolutely…
Candy washing machine is absolutely usless.
The control bord keeps blowing any time we have a power outage.
Even when unplugged before a power outage the plugged back in after it .
Absolutely garbage waste of money these washing machines should be taken off the market.
Avoid at all cost
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful.
My new dryer barely lasted past 6 months before breaking. Trying to get any assistance from them, despite still being under warranty has been painful - initially it was my fault (it wasn’t) and then telling me they’ve referred my case to an engineer so it’s their problem now… yet the company has had absolutely nothing from candy so can’t do anything. Not worth the hassle at all.
Poor quality and awful costumer service
I would give this a 0 if I could- worst costumer service ever and very poor machine. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy anything from this brand! Have been trying to contact them for weeks to fix my washing machine which didn’t even last 1 year and they are impossible to reach!
poor quality washing machine
My Candy washing machine is less than 2 years old, but out of the 1 year warranty. There is a sharp part on the metal drum inside the washing machine that is snagging all my clothes. Lots of stuff ruined. Very poor manufacturing! I will have to buy a new machine as well as replace bedding, towels and clothes!
AVOID AVOID AVOID
I rang up, and finally booked an appointment after being sent to three different departments.
I was charge £160 for a fixed price repair and free parts, half (£80)to be returned if unrepairable, the engineer turned up on time and was courteous, he looked at the appliance felt the condenser, put a multimeter on it and said it that which is faulty, he went outside and made a call, he came back in and said its been written off so I should get an exchange, he then took some further photos made another call and said, your on the one off repair so Candy will be in touch to give you some options which they still haven't over one month later, he never attempted a repair even though he knew what the fault was, a week later I received an email saying it was unrepairable and we'll receive a refund, no offer of a new appliance which is in the T&C, since this email I have sent 8 emails, to differing departments, chasing up my refund, chasing up the offer of a discounted product if unable to repair, they haven't even had the courtesy to respond!
My advise is avoid at all costs, I'm a fridge down, and £160 down for someone to look and say yep its faulty!! crap service
I purchased a Candy dryer on…
I purchased a Candy dryer on 10/01/2024. As of today (24/09/2025), 623 days have passed, which is about 89 weeks. Using it only once a week means I have used it less than 90 times in total. Despite such light use, the dryer has already broken and makes a very loud noise. After checking online, I found that many other customers reported the same issue, which clearly shows it is a manufacturing fault. Unfortunately, Candy refused to help, simply saying the warranty had expired. Very poor customer service and extremely disappointing quality – I will never buy Candy again.

Bought a brand new Candy/Hoover washing machine, during the cycle the internal drum continually hits the external casing, it's 2 days old !!, done 2 light washes, £180 call out repair ABSOULTE DISGRACE, I will never buy candy/hoover products again.... ever . Oh and Argos who sold it..waste of time
I have the same ongoing problem as many…
I have the same ongoing problem as many here … a tumble dryer that has had 2 safety recalls, an initial engineer booking that never happened (didn’t turn up) multiple texts stating not to use it - STOP, a fire hazard. Multiple chasers by me to be told they can’t handle the demand on issues and will get back to me.
It’s been going on for nearly 6 months now.
⚠️ Avoid - awful customer service
⚠️ Avoid this tumble dryer and the company behind it. Mine has been recalled three times. Each time I’m left waiting weeks for an engineer, unable to use it in the meantime.
What’s worse is the communication – or lack of it. They don’t tell you what’s wrong, they just send an email with an appointment date and no explanation. You have to call to find out, but the phone lines are impossible to get through to. If you try WhatsApp, they simply tell you to call, so you go round in circles.
They offered me a £45 “goodwill” payment, but even that requires calling them… and of course, nobody answers.
The whole experience has been stressful, time-wasting, and shows complete disregard for customers. If you’re thinking about buying from this brand, think twice.
Tumble dryer broken 6 months after…
Tumble dryer broken 6 months after purchase. Impossible to get a human being on the phone to arrange for a service engineer to call. Two weeks after reporting the fault and they haven't given me a date range I asked for!
So much for being in warranty.
Crap products crap service
Gregg- washing machine error.
Gregg was the technician who attend the call for my washing machine. He was very polite and courteous. After looking at the machine- unfortunately nothing could be done. He has taken all relevant details to write the machine off. He was very precise with the information provided! Thank you!
3rd candy/ Hoover tumble dryer to…
Another candy/ Hoover tumble dryer to last just over 12 months and be unable to repair. I will never buy from this company again, I only bought the last one because I hadn't realized candy and Hoover were under the same company. This one was a regular condenser tumble dryer bought March 2024, lasted 18 months, was barely used all summer since we had such good weather. The guarantee and warranty are worthless. My repair man says Beko are the best value and fail less often.
Unable to use drier since no staff available for repair
Got a safety message telling me to disconnect our drier and that a Candy Hoover group repairman would come and make necessary safety changes. That was 3 weeks ago. I called, they said all their repair people were busy and they could not give me any idea of when this work would be done. Useless.
Candy CSOEH9A2DE Wifi Connected 9Kg…
Candy CSOEH9A2DE Wifi Connected 9Kg Heat Pump Tumble Dryer
We are a family of 5 and I really wish I had not purchased the above appliance as takes forever to dry. I called engineer out as thought it was not working, to be informed that the room temperature had to be above 9 degrees so purchased a fan heater for the room. How is that cost effective
I would not recommend this appliance
Candy Product Recall x2. No Fix Date
I bought a Candy BCTDH7A1TE Heat Pump Tumble Dryer in White which has been recalled twice due to a safety issue.
The second recall was on 1st August. It has been nearly a month and Candy still have not been able to schedule an appointment with the fix. We have been left without a workable dryer and no idea when it will be fixed.
The vendor left us to deal with Candy. Candy have left us in the dark. They offered and are sending a derisory £25 payment after a phone call with them.
What has happened to customer service?
I have had the repair service cancelled at last minute and automatically rebooked for a week later, after having booked a day off work. When I have attemped to contact Candy, I am placed on a WhatsApp chat and because I could not type my response within the three minute time frame (there was no warning that I was being timed) my chat was closed and I had to start again. Shocking lack of customer service.
Appalling service as have many others.
I bought a Candy washer/drier the sellers website said it came with a 1.8mtr power cable. When it was being fitted the installer said that the cable was only 1mtr long and wouldn't meet our power socket.
It was too late to send it back as it was built in and the door had been fitted.
I had to pay for the outlet to be moved.
When I spoke to Candy they pointed out that their website only said that it was fitted with a three pin plug and that no cable length was stated. They further suggested that I should take the matter up with the supplier.
I said that to do so I needed to know what length did they supply with that machine. They flatly and resolutely refused to tell me! Appalling and shame on you Candy!
Fridge door fell off within warranty
Fridge door fell off within warranty, countless replacements turned up damaged. This went on for a year until a new door was fitted. But original shelves don't fit new door. Asked for proper door, or shelves that would fit. But they now say that it's out of warranty (it wasn't when it broke) and they have no spare parts.
A few months ago we had a letter to…
A few months ago we had a letter to stop using our tumble dryer because it was from a faulty batch and a fire hazard. We waited ages for an engineer to come and replace the part and now we have had another letter to say to stop using it again and unplug as the part they have replaced it with is dangerous. Now we have been waiting ages for an appointment with an engineer. Nobody is replying to my husbands emails. So faulty products and also shoddy customer service. We have 2 young children who go through a lot of clothes, it really has been an inconvenience to not have a working tumble dryer!
