Avoid Kingston Centre Milton Keynes

You own Kingston Shopping Centre Milton Keynes via a subsidiary (TBL). They use Minster Baywatch to manage parking. As a disabled Blue Badge holder , I frequently used the centre partly because of the availability of free disabled parking spaces. However we received a PCN for «  not displaying «  a blue badge on a date in August . The photos supplied were of extremely poor quality and carefully avoided the area of the dashboard where the badge is fixed on display. We were able to prove the photos were taken from a low angle so that the badge was not visible. However they have let us know they do not subscribe to the Ombudsman scheme and have «  generously » offered us a discounted fine of £20 or face court action. This is outright extortion . The choice is either pay a fine we did not incur or face a lengthy court battle which as I am disabled would be overly stressful . The upshot is we shall be severely restricting our use of the centre from now on and spending our money in other retail outlets. I am also considering contacting the local press to give them our story. I wonder how many other disabled drivers have been fined in this manner ?

We have had no mail deliveries in over…

We have had no mail deliveries in over a week now in Milton Keynes. I am waiting for my replacement Blue Badge which was sent on 10 July -9 days ago. My current one runs out Monday. I will be no less disabled then but risk fines if I use disabled parking in disabled bays. The service is abysmal.

Fridge freezer broke after 3 weeks. Still waiting for repair

After three weeks our fridge/freezer water dispenser broke. I was very specific about the problem and was assured the repairer would carry spares . It took a week to get an appointment and the technician had no idea what the issue was therefore had no spares . He ordered replacement part over a week ago and still nothing. We have gone through the heatwave with no access to cold water that we expected to have. The Candy repair line woman was only interested in trying to sell me additional insurance rather than taking down the details of the breakdown. Never buying from them again

Couldn’t care less about customers with disabilities

We have home and emergency cover with the aa. We came home yesterday to find there had been an area wide power cut and we had no electricity apart from lights downstairs. We got advice from the National Grid and managed to turn on most things but despite changing fuses and trying different sockets the freezer doesn’t work and we lost all the contents. Most important the boiler and shower do not work either. I am a 70 year old cancer patient who needs hot water. We’ve we called just now the helpline were most unhelpful basically saying we can’t claim for anything electrical. What is the point of having this insurance? They are a disgrace.

Needs serious improvements

Operose lost the contract to run this surgery last year to OneMedical and I was hoping for better service but sadly not. The doctors are good once you manage to get an appointment but the management and admin are beyond a joke. I sent an urgent email last April to the then Practice Manager which was never even acknowledged let alone dealt with. I am a 70yo cancer patient who recently tested positive for COVID. A referral for urgent anti virals went astray and I didn’t receive them . Again my complaint has not even been acknowledged yet . Also my medical records do not show my most recent major surgery which took place in January 2024. I even physically took in my discharge letter and I know the hospital inform them directly. This is dangerously incompetent. I will be contacting the local ICB and also my MP.

Review of OVO

Absolutely useless company


UPDATE- despite providing OVO with my temporary account number and being assured that the account has a nil balance I am still being harassed daily by “collections “ insisting I pay £213 without providing any evidence that this is an amount I owe. I have provided dates, times , readings all evidenced by email and WhatsApp yet no bill ! I was assured an investigation would take place yet I am still being pursued and I’m not even a customer. I never signed for or agreed to be one .
Provide me with a bill , in my name, with the dates and readings I gave you,
In addition the “collection team” are very hard to understand as their level of English is so poor. Yesterday I was called “Mrs Customer” by the agent. How can you expect to run a business with such poor practices?
Absolutely useless company. Avoid
I rent out a property which was empty for two months ( Dec 23/ Jan 24). The previous tenants chose OVO as their supplier despite my express request for them to remain with British Gas. I have provided OVO with the exact dates of the void and the readings at least three times and had numerous calls, WhatsApp etc. Despite this it seems beyond the ability of OVO to produce a bill showing how much is owed for this period. I had to have contractors in so there will be a charge. Instead I’ve had a bill in the wrong name, wrong amount and dates and now daily calls from ‘collections” demanding payment. I AM NOT AN OVO CUSTOMER- never have been. Never intend to be.
I was told they would open a temporary account for me to pay but this hasn’t happened. Instead I had a text with a link demanding payment for an amount I cannot verify and yet another call demanding payment.
This is harassment as a disabled person I will take steps to publish this despicable company’s underhand practices.

Milton Keynes Council waste collection fail

UPDATE. Following my posting I received a home visit from one of the waste and recycling managers to apologise and address the issues. He even took away the excess waste that had accrued in my hall. Extra measures are being put in place to make sure the crews are aware they need to empty and return my bins from outside my house not the street and this was done today with no issues.
I am very relieved to have this matter settled and appreciate the home visit.

My local authority, Milton Keynes, uses a contractor for waste collection. I am disabled and have an assisted collection - although I may as well not have for the number of times the crews miss my bins. They always lie because online the bins are marked as collected when they are not! Numerous complaints, online reporting it doesn’t matter one bit. All I get is that they have »talked to the contractor  ». Clearly not in the least customer- focused just out for profit. The nano seconds longer it takes to collect my bins from outside my front door to the pavement cannot possibly affect their bottom line. Milton Keynes council also need to look at their contract management as whoever is leading on this particular contract doesn’t know what they are doing either. You fine companies who break contract terms until it hurts and they improve their performance.

Milton Keynes waste collection total failure by Suez

UPDATE. Following my posting I received a home visit from the Suez contract manager today who apologised and provided me with his work number in case of future problems. The bins were collected and returned today with no issues . Thank you Trust pilot!
