They sent me wrong engine for my 2014…
They sent me wrong engine for my 2014 jeep. After several phone call and emails with no response. They sent me a return label. Had freight company pick up engine. I thought they were exchanging engine for right one. NOPE!! They charged me shipping both ways plus restocking fees equal to $1350.00. They are crooked as hell!!!!!

Absolutely shocking company avoid at all cost, built a Cosworth engine for a rally car engine fail twice within 50 miles each. Lee took no responsibility for his terrible workmanship! And was difficult to deal with… had to take it to a proper engine builder engine is perfect now with no issues, just a shame it cost double the amount it should have to get a decent engine built. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!
QUE made it right, but buy used engines at your own risk.
I had concerns after reading the reviews. I originally thought I had troubleshot and fixed my QUE engine for my Ford F150 5.0 Coyote. I kept getting P0303 Misfire on #3. It ran, and I could still feel the miss in it, but it wasn't coding, until a day later. Well, I took it to the mechanic that installed the motor, and 7 cylinders with compression of 150, and one with 85. #3 had been causing trouble since day 1. New plugs, coils, cleaned the MAF, new purge valve. Nothing worked. They claim that they compression test all engines. Obviously, that is a false statement on their website. I am already out labor costs I won't get back, and I don't even want to fix it again not knowing if the next engine I get will be any better, or worse. I filed a warranty claim. At this point, I am turned off of fixing it, and as soon as I get this resolved, my beautiful 2014 F150 is headed to the graveyard. It's really disappointing, but I'm not throwing any more money at an 11 year old truck, hoping that it eventually works out. I would proceed with caution when buying a used engine from anybody with a late model car or truck. If it's got an overhead cam, I wouldn't touch used again. You can't really rebuild them, and used engines are a crap shoot. I really wanted to give QUE a good review. Had they come through with what they promised...I would have. I mean, a compression test on my motor would have picked up one cylinder hitting at about half of the others, and it would have been sent to a reman shop for rebuild instead of to a customer for installation. Honestly, I won't touch a used engine again. Buying a used truck is less expensive in the long run. Though this isn't specifically Ford's fault the taste of Ford has also soured because of this. My 91,000 engine started knocking, and the engine I was quoted as having approximately 56,000 miles had a low compression cylinder. It will probably be the last Ford I buy or try to fix for a long time, if ever. But...I am loving my 2024 Chevrolet truck. If they make it right, I will add to the review. In reality, what is that? Well, getting me a good engine that was actually compression tested that has the actual miles stated, and having the junk engine replaced at no additional cost to me would be the optimal. I don't think I will hold my breath on that one. Just refund the cost of the motor, fully (no restocking fees, since it was faulty from QUE, and I installed it in good faith). Oh yeah. $650 for gaskets, seals, water pump, thermostat etc) all to put on a junk motor. Not gonna get that back either, and would have to buy all of that stuff again. But nope, I'm done with fixing it. I put a ton of money into it already, and I'm not going to do it again....ever!
***Update - Quality Used Engines made it right! They refunded the cost of the engine. I'm still out a ton for the install, but that was an understood risk. I still won't buy a used engine again, as the feeling of losing my truck is still very raw.
Terrible customer service
They would not take the engine back at any price and they act as if they can not understand any communication. The previous company under this name was very good. This company does not really care about
Crooks and Scammers
Please don't purchase anything from this company...I called for a quote on an engine..the rep hung up on me when I questioned the price advertised online..so I called back and got a different rep and got a totally different quote for the same engine..then when I questioned the price difference..he began to mock and disrespect me. They are also being sued by the State of Wisconsin Attorney Office
Do not purchase from this company
Do not purchase from this company. I own an auto repair shop. When we received the engine we purchased, we tested it prior to install and it had zero compression. We immediately called and emailed them. They said they didn't have another one in stock. They said they would refund the $1900, but to keep the engine as it costs to ship back. We called and emailed with no answers, just put on hold, or told it "was in the accounting department". Now after 4 months, no refund. I filed a case with the CA Attorney Generals office. (no response either). Buyers beware. This was a tough lesson.....
I wish there was a minus star
I wish there was a minus star. If you need a used engine and these scammers are your only option, buy a bus pass, you'll me much more satisfied. My story starts late August 2024 with an unexplained engine failure on my beautiful 2019 Sierra truck. The dealer wanted 15k for a brand new replacement. GM had no eta on production. They offered me a refurbished engine with 80k miles and a 12 mile warranty for 9k. Needless to say, I declined as I use my truck for my food business and expect 12k miles in 3-4 months. I declined and started searching online. These creeps popped up on google. The look totally reputable. The website seems clear and concise and they are US based in Cudahy Wisconsin. I got a free quote, they had an engine for my truck. They offer free shipping to an auto shop and 5 year/50k warranty on parts and labor! They had my model engine with 30k miles on it! They even promise a core refund of $500if you send in your old engine. There are tons of great reviews on their page that link to an independent review site. (so it seems) I decided to buy the engine. By this time I had been down a vehicle nearly a month. I talked to a seemingly nice man in the parts department. He told me if I ordered that day my engine would ship in the next few days and could take about a week to arrive. My total cost was 7k. They offer a preferred financing option during the purchasing process that approved me for 5k and I paid the other 2k out of pocket. I asked the parts guy did I need to have the shop remove my old engine when the new one was delivered. He told me not to worry about it. My mechanic was set to receive my engine the following week but it took just over two weeks to arrive. My mechanic set my appointment for his next available slot which was about ten days away. Long story short, the engine, once installed would not fire up. My mechanic advised me that he was sending my truck to the dealership for troubleshooting. My service tech immediately found that the intake was full of metal debris. He explained that if they were to start the engine this could ruin the entire motor. I bought a new intake after they checked my original intake and found it to have debris as well. I was confident that I could make a warranty claim and be reimbursed. It went straight to hell from here. I called them to file the claim, there was a menu option for warranty claims. It rang into a queue, I held 20 minutes before hanging up. I then located an option to file a claim on the web page. I entered my invoice number as directed and received a message stating that my warranty was not valid. It then directed me to a message that told me if I didn't register my warranty after installation within 10 days of delivery it was void. This disclaimer isn't anywhere on the website other than if you try to file a claim. I read my contract confirmation email and it only says 5k, 5 year parts and labor warranty. In the mean time, I called them every day and never received an answer. It was like they had my number flagged. I called from a different number and they answered immediately! Once they found out who I was they transferred me into that queue that nobody answers. I held back my next payment. Their finance company (Pay tomorrow) contacted me immediately. I asked if they were affiliated, the agent said no but offered to help. She asked for photos of the damage and proof that I had been calling. I sent her the pictures from the dealer and copies of my call log and emails where I had been trying to reach QUE. She followed up the next day and told me to try calling again, she gave me a number that I didn't have and a name. I thought she was pretty helpful for a finance company who claimed to be unaffiliated with the merchant. I called, no answer. I called from another number they picked right up. I asked for the guy she referred me to, told my story and he immediately transferred me into the warranty queue. Another guy answered almost immediately. He told me he would send me a warranty form. The warranty form was a combination of jumping through several hoops and shitting in a swinging bucket. It was so tedious and impossible to complete, an obvious intentional roadblock. I began digging into QUE because when I called they answered with a different company name. There are hundreds of complaints against them on many websites. The good reviews I read on their website are clearly fakes.I tried to reach that review company and it no longer exists. BBB and the Indiana States Attorney have reached out to them in an attempt to mediate. This isn't new to them. I'm not asking for a refund. I'm asking them to stand behind the engine they sent me. I'm asking them to warranty it, like they advertised. The last guy I spoke to told me that the dealer was just trying to get money out of me and that there is no warranty because I took too long to install the engine. Looking for a lawyer!
If there was a negative star I would…Buyer bewy
If there was a negative star I would pick it. Do not buy from these sheisters! I paid over 8k for a replacement engine for my 2019 Sierra Denali. The dealership had no eta on a brand new engine and wanted 14k. This place offers free delivery, a $500 core refund and a free 5 year 50k mile parts and labor warranty. They also provided a link to finance 5k of the purchase through an independent (wink wink) loan company. I put the difference on a credit card. They promised the engine in a week. It took about 10 days (not bad) I asked if I needed to have the old engine ready and the salesman said no we could arrange that later. It took my mechanic about ten days to get to my vehicle. Subsequently he discovered that when my engine failed some other components under the hood were damaged and it would be best for the dealership to repair these things before firing up the new engine. Towed to dealership. Mechanic at dealership found debris in the intake. He sent photos of the metal shards that would have damaged the new engine. I had to buy another intake. I called quality to use my warranty to cover this. It was then I was guided to a place on their website that stated if you didn’t enroll in the warranty program within 5 days of receiving the engine your warranty was reduced. It also stated that the core refund was voided if the old engine wasn’t shipped back to them within 10 days. Remember I asked about that? None of this information is made obvious on their site. The only way you see this is if you attempt to file a warranty claim. I tried calling them and was transferred into a queue for claims. Nobody ever picks up. I’ve called multiple times even selecting the sales department only to be immediately placed on hold with nobody ever picking back up. It’s like the flag your number because when I was shopping for the engine they picked up every time. I withheld my next payment. The loan company called, of course and I asked if they were affiliated. They said no but they would try to help me. The agent asked for pictures of the bad intake and receipts. I sent them. A few days go by, she sent me an email stating that Quality said I had never called and they needed proof. I sent call logs that proved I was on their line 3 different times for a minimum of 10 minutes each. She gave me a different number which led me back to the same stupid queue. No answer. Don’t trust these guys. I’m in a very expensive vortex.
I’m beyond disappointed with this…
I’m beyond disappointed with this company and the engine they sold to my son, who worked incredibly hard to save up for this purchase. Upon visual inspection before installation, our technician found water in the intake and the entire top end of the motor was covered in oil sludge. This is completely unacceptable, and there’s no way this engine was inspected or tested before it was shipped.
To make matters worse, trying to submit the so-called “warranty” information was a nightmare. The company’s website made it nearly impossible to complete the process, almost like it was done on purpose to discourage customers from claiming their rights. When I called the warranty department, I was left on hold for over an hour before I finally hung up in frustration. I tried reaching out to the sales department, but as soon as they recognized my number on caller ID, they would immediately push me to voicemail.
Legal counsel will be retained because this company needs to be held accountable and put out of business. It’s disgraceful how they scam hardworking people out of their money when trust is placed in them. The Better Business Bureau has been alerted, and legal action will soon follow. I urge anyone considering this company to stay far away—you’ll only end up frustrated and out of pocket!
Sold me a bad engine and won't pay
Purchased a engine from this company back in January. The engine was a week late because they told me they were doing quality checks on the engine before they shipped it out. Paid a mechanic shop $3,000 to install just to find out that the entire left side of the engine had no compression.
They warrantied the engine and sent me a new one, but I still had to pay another $3,000 to have it installed again. I have been in contact with them multiple times trying to get them to pay for one of the installs. Nobody will return my calls or emails. Seems like they are actively trying to screw me. Here it is July and still no response from this company

i really i wish i could give a minus star. Worst customer service. Customer service is horrible. They every time give you the response that they'll look into it but never get back to you. They kepp on transferring the phones to another depoartment and keep you on hold for hours. I am trying to get in touch with them since a month.
BUYER BEWARE!
If I could give a MINUS star rating I would. We received a blatantly defective engine from this company. We filed the warranty submission forms. Even our mechanic had to submit a form for this claim. That was 12/10/23. We have not received a refund. We have called and emailed and every time I get told my refund status is "with accounting". Apparently they plan to wear us down so we don't insist on a refund.
the engine that i got was not a 2008…
the engine that i got was not a 2008 like they said it was it is a 2007 and when i got it all the pullys were missing the only ones on it was the water pump and crankshaft and the flywheel was not on it the exhaust manifolds were missing
FALSE ADVERTISING
FALSE ADVERTISING. Total scam company.
Offered a replacement engine with less than 100k miles, informed that it was "inspected and tested". They said the engine would ship out in 7-14 days, but then like most people report, delays delays delays. The advertising on the motor I specifically bought from them; lies. Flat out lies.
I ran the VIN# on the engine I finally received from "Quality Used Engines", turns out it was from a trade in vehicle that was bought from an Acura dealership in New Jersey, vehicle was parted, the engine was sourced from Ebay and had over 190k miles on it!
Total rip off. They never had the engine in stock, obviously knowing they did not have an engine with less than 90k miles on it, they charged me close to $1600 including an added delivery fee for residential delivery, but the engine they shipped to me was from an Ebay listing that offered free residential shipping for a total of less than 800 bucks to my door, yes, the same engine listed on ebay from a different seller, verified from the VIN #! - So "Quality used Engines" lied about the engine and skimmed $800 from an engine they never had in stock as advertised in the first place, which makes me wonder; how could they "inspect" an engine they never had? Let's say they DID have it and it was under a different company name (because they have many as reported; I.E: Southwest Engines / Southwest Transmissions / SW Engines / SW transmissions, Remann's Engines, Engine and Transmission World, Engine Shopper LLC, among others!), ...still is NOT as advertised, not even close!
QUALITY USED ENGINES . COM are total rip offs.
False advertisement! Amazing they haven't been shut down and taught a lesson by now.
$$ high time they pay a hefty price and learn a valuable lesson for scamming people $$
RECAP:
WHAT WAS ADVERTISED // WHAT WAS RECEIVED
Engine Mileage: Advertised ~88k // Received +190k
Inspected / tested // No inspection or testing
Engine in stock // They sourced it from Ebay.
Charged delivery fee // Item on ebay was free shipping.
Crafty thieves!
This is extremely bad company
This is extremely bad company. They lied, steal, robbed you. They have no morality. Just wonder why the government has not closed their business.......
Do Not buy an engine fron this comoany
Check out the video about Quality Used Engines on YouTube. Do not buy an engine from this company. I have not received the engine and they have already canceled the warranty. The Wisconsin Consumer Complaints Department has had over 400 complaints about this company. The address on their web site is vacant.

I am out of words to explain the frustration of working with this company.
Today alone I have been attempting to get in contact with the warranty department for over 5 hours (longest hold time 1 hours, 23 minutes!) Not only have I been on hold for the majority of that time but when I do reach someone, they can't help and those who can are busy. Never have I gotten a call back or an email from anyone.
First engine has timing chain issues right from the beginning. Anyone with a little bit of experience could have diagnosed this issue before shipping or at least know that the clucking noise when turning over isn't normal.
Sad thing is I ordered several engines with them, and I just now know how difficult it is going to be to do anything warranty related.
Reach out to your banks for fraud!!
Hello everyone, the easiest fastest way to resolve you issue is to file a reverse charge with your bank. Don't wait too long as there are time limits!

I ordered a 2013 Subaru 2.5 engine May 15, 2023. Got it on June 6th, and was installed on June 9th. The problem is getting them to give an address to return the core, and get my $350 for the core. 15 calls, and an email, over two weeks and still no response.
I guess I was lucky to have gotten an engine that works at all!. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy!
UPDATE
Today, I read the shipping tag on the engine I received for the first time. And there I saw the Vin# of the vehicle the engine came out of.
The rep told me the engine I was getting had 55,000 miles on it. Against my better judgement, I ran the Vin thru Car Fax. Wow, was I pissed!! According to Car Fax, and the Vin on the tag, this engine has over 210,000 miles on it!!
Oh, and I also just found out my shipping costs to return the core thru FedEx. $400.36. . .for a $350 return on the core? Nah, I'll pass on that!
Liars, Liars and cheaters. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, PERIOD!!!
