If I could give no stars, I would. They have taken out 2 transactions - I have received no goods and they are claiming they 'don't have my money' and Klarna do. I have contacted Klarna and they were great - gave me a Merchant Reference Number etc.. however, Alex Superstore are still claiming they have no order. I have been told several times I would be called back but have now been waiting over 2 weeks. Taking to small claims. Appalling.

I ordered a tin of paint 8 weeks ago and also paid £4.79 for next day delivery. The payment was taken straight away but I still haven’t received my item. I emailed them once asking where my order was, no reply, I emailed a second time and asked for a refund, again no reply. So £36 down the drain, after reading very similar reviews I don’t
Know how this company has not been shut down by trading standards, I don’t believe they are a legitimate company,
It’s an absolute con.

Still waiting for refund on good Sent back, which indicated I would receive refund, still waiting. No answer to emails and no answer to phone calls.

Awful. Only one tin of paint arrived when I’d paid for two. No refunds, no acknowledgement of emails. Will never use them again.

Ordered nearly a month ago. Nothing turned up so i called them. Was told, oh it looks like this item is back in stock.
I only ordered from them because at the time it was showing in stock.
Ignorant Scottish guy on the phone tells me i have to pay an additional carriage charge......

Sadly one star is the lowest I can give. The company is a scam. Takes the money but doesn't deliver. Should have read Trustpilot reviews first. Will have to claim via Card Protection. linda.brown-alexshanks.com and sales-alexshanks.com have both gone AWOL.

This company doesn't understand the first thing about customer service. I ordered £150 of paint with 2-days delivery and was charged immediately. After 10 days, 2 emails to AlexSuperstore with no reply and still no sign of my paint I called them and was told I hadn't been charged (I had - it was in black and white on my credit card statement) and it wasn't their responsibility to refund me even if I had been charged as the money had gone through an intermediary payment platform. Eventually I resolved the refund but no thanks to AlexSuperstore. Shocking service.

I ordered some fly catcher replacement sachets and was meant to be on a 2 day delivery in July. Mid way though August and I am still waiting to hear anything.

Tried ringing the company and the phone number is no longer in existence. Also just looked up on Companies House - Alexsuperstore has dissolved on 30 March 2020. The registration was SC546381

I was only buying some compost, so it didn't occur to me to look at the reviews for this company. One thing that bothered me was that the price did not include VAT, this only appeared at the end. I paid for 2 days delivery, 2 days have been and gone, and no delivery. I wrote an email, no response. I realise now that the chances of me getting the compost are very small. How can they continue in business?

In future I will always read TRUSTPILOT reviews before buying from any company. The horrid stories about ALEX SUPERSTORE are all true. It's a poor company for service, paid £22 for 4 spray cans on the 29th July which included £6.99p for next day service. Here I am after phoning them on the 31st July to be told them got stock in today and I might get them Monday 1sst August. So they took my order and charged me for next day service KNOWING they could not deliver. I shall be issuing a summons for the £6.99p. YOU CAN BET ON THAT. Awful company.
They have changed their name from Alex Shanks Ltd to Alex Superstore WHY? Because the first name had a worse record on deliveries than the second name! If you summons them do it in the name of Alex Shanks Ltd.

Dishonest business!! Ordered a paint can online showing as in stock in 1st week of July, only to be told 4 days later when I emailed for an update, that they don't have it in stock. I requested a refund and almost 2 weeks later still no refund. Mistakes are made but to act dishonestly just makes it worse!!! DON'T BUY FROM ALEX SUPERSTORE!!

Appalling customer service. Alex Superstore sold me a tin of faulty varnish and then would have nothing to do with it. If I had bought this varnish elsewhere and at the same price I would have been given an immediate refund. I will never shop at this horrible site again and I wish I had never shopped there in the first place.

Takes money and doesn’t send items. Avoid avoid and avoid.

I wish I researched them before buying. They sent an incomplete order because they decided I hadn't paid "enough" shipping without even trying to contact me to see if I was interested in the partial order at all. They only told me after I reached out asking about the missing products.

Don't use complete scam. Money taken, no goods no reply to emails. Will seek refund through credit card company or county court judgement. Sometimes you just have to make the effort to get your own back even if it's a bit of hassle.
