Run Away, Don't Even Think About Buying Here!
Note to self: always, always read reviews first. Living in North Central CA, the “selection” of products and services is basically zero, zilch, nada. So when we moved here in November 2024, my wife did the dirty work of finding us a propane fireplace/stove. Prices looked good, shipping was fast—what could go wrong? Answer: everything.
Updated Review: I received their response and had to remind them of my order number and name. Not a great way to convince me of their sincerity. They are intractable, but apologized and expressed empathy. How nice. Can their kind late words, assuage my wife's memories of a long winter with a POS stove/fireplace? No, they have no interest here other than minimizing the sting of my words. Send me $4000 and we'll be friends. Other than that, stop. For people buying here- RUN, FAST.
The Empire stove they sent wouldn’t stay lit. Cue the epic saga: eight months of dragging the rotting carcass of US Fireplace through every circle of customer service hell. Denials, lies, obfuscation, ghosting—you name it, they’ve got it down to an art form. For nearly $5,000, we bought ourselves a masterclass in corporate indifference. Honestly, if I’d known, I’d have happily forked over $10,000 to a local outfit just to avoid this farce.
Do yourself a favor: run, don’t walk, away from this company. Their “agent” is listed in Sheridan, WY, but they’re basically a ghost. My money says Shenzhen, China.
