Going the extra ‘mile.’

Quickest/shortest route from van to kitchen was across a muddy grassy verge. Delighted that the delivery men (without any request from me) took the much longer route (by some 50m) to keep to a hard path. Top marks to Stuart P & Anil, for going the extra distance to avoid muddy boots.

Proactive.

Claim handled efficiently by knowledgeable, courteous staff. Updated on the progress of my claim throughout to its satisfactory conclusion. The claim process is proactive (LV contacted me with updates), rather than reactive (LV responded when I chased them). All in all a first class service just when you need it to be.

‘No one at home.’

If there was a zero star option I would have selected it. No success when trying to order 2 ‘Lamb Guard of Honour,’ online. Wouldn’t take payment details despite more than seven attempts. It’s was not because there were issues connecting to the bank, it simply would not allow me to enter any card details. I Really liked the look of the meat so tried to order by telephone on several occasions; again no success, phone not answered.

Frustrated customer MYB12372735B
Booking the holiday great experience trying to amend the booking awful. Usual online booking scenario really simple question that would be easily resolved if you could talk with a representative, impossible through a ‘virtual assistant, who constantly asks you to rephrase the question. All the systems are in place to stop you from actually resolving the problem by talking. Let’s see what happens, doubt my question will be answered.

Great experience.

The engineer arrived on time, he was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and efficient. He diagnosed the issue with the boiler quickly and carried out a first class repair. I cannot speak too highly of the engineer, a first rate job. I would thoroughly recommend Ideal service to anyone.

Stay away from this company.

Please, please, please stay away from this company. Appaling customer services as reported elswhere on this site. No telephone number, emails undeliverable as their in box is full, quick messaging chat box a joke, no reply to a query in 11 hours. Part order only received, no information when (if) the balance of the order is expected. Plants that were received in very poor condition.
Their non response policy to legitimate enquries is appalling.

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. Customer service is non existent. For information on how to collect keys etc they provided me with the following telephone number: “Thanks Keith! Your holiday home in Plymouth is confirmed.
Connect with your host to find out where to pick up your keys, what time to check-in or make requests. They're just a phone call away on +44 (0) 1282 847 958.” Turns out the number is for Hoseasons who know nothing about the accommodation or why booking.com would give their number as they don’t deal with. Booked to go on holiday from 21st August 2021, now 16th August, no details on how to get access to the property we have booked. The only confirmation I received is to say they have taken the money. Not sure how I go forward from this point, do I just turn up at the property and hope for the best? It is a 6 hour drive to the property so don’t want to risk the long drive to be turned away.

To be fair I was warned against using booking.com because “they struggle to get things right.” But the holiday destination and property was just what we were looking for so thought we would risk it. Now regretting it…

It is now Wickes policy not to fork…

It is now Wickes policy not to fork lift materials on to customer’s vans. I bought 24 flags today at their York branch, the pack was brought to my van by fork truck but I had to ‘hand ball’ them in to the van. I asked, ‘what would I do if it was a bulk bag of sand?’ The answer ‘you would have to shovel it from the bag into your van.’ It beggars belief; who ever came up with this policy should review it quickly. I suggested that a damage waiver form, which customers would sign before loading, would be a better option. We have purchased very many bulk bags of sand, aggregates etc from Wickes from around the country, but have had to review this has we cannot shovel from bulk bag to van at Wickes, and from the van to bulk bag at site. The staff at York did their best and did help by loading a few flags for me.
