READ Before Buying From Them..

READ Before Buying From Them... The Amazon Refurbished phone they sold me in "Perfect Condition" was received with two scratches across the front screen. I immediately opted to return it via Amazon Marketplace Regulations. Then started a series of emails between "Bethany" for their Customer Services and me. Though promising a rapid refund, the refund did not appear in their stated timescale and I had to bring in Visa Card via my Bank to force the issue. I received my refund 17 days after they had taken the money from me. Amazon were no help, declining to accept my complaints as all the emails from Bethany were polite. I notice with interest the very poor reviews here against this company for their inability to refund customers promptly, that this is not reflected in the Amazon reviews which exhibit bias in favour of the seller, not the buyer. This is an Amazon seller to be avoided.

Toolstation Customer Services Listened and Acted

Toolstation Club - a JOKE…. Why am i only offered 5% off by joining this club, at the END of a £125 transaction? Then 2 weeks later, buying a tin of paint via the app… no 5% discount applied. I went through customer service who were incapable of looking at my active shopping basket? I had to give them the SKU code ….but to do that i had to disconnect the chat to go back to my basket? The system is NOT set up to serve the needs of the customer at work. Yes i did get the discount but i have no assurance it will be there next time i shop. For such a large business, customer services could be improved.

UPDATE: I am happy to report that Customer Services reacted promptly to the concerns I highlighted here and that since this time the "Toolstation Club" has worked out very well for me financially and I am now very happy with this system.

90% perfect but cheap printing. I'm happy with what I got.

I ordered 15 copies of a self designed A4 magazine. The package arrived wet and thus the paper was crinkled. I have managed to flatten most of this. 2 of the 15 hadn't been cut perfectly square, thus two from covers were slanted where they shouldn't have been. Plus the design upload system "required" a design for the 3mm spine before it would accept the rest of the upload. I did a simple design and loaded it but this wasn't printed to the product, rather the back image was wrapped around the spine.

I've produced several magazines and I admit to expecting very high standards at production, as my clients expect of me in my commercial photography. The print and presentation quality of Mixam is 90% perfect but at the price I'm paying per unit I don't think I can provide a harsh criticism. You get what you pay for. Thus I'm happily giving a four star rating

We are sorry to hear if your order got wet in transit, please do get in contact if any irreparable damage has occurred as we need to put that right for you.
It's always best to make sure that you can see your spine artwork displayed before confirming the order, as jpeg spine files don't always get recognised and won't display for printing, hence why the covers show on the spine. Please do get in contact and we'll be happy to help.

I chatted to a Human in UK

I wanted to buy two sims at the same time, a service not available on their website. The Chatbot transferred me rapidly to a real human (Jimmy) who introduced me to even better sales offer than I wanted ( for the same price) then allowed me to purchase two sims, whilst paying one bill from my bank account. This was for a 1month, rolling contract on a SIM-only deal. At most I was chatting for maybe 10minutes. I'm very happy.

Delivery charges left me feeling conned.

I purchased a roll of vinyl flooring. The price, delivery cost and likely time of delivery were good for us. I thought paying £10 delivery from Warrington was a bit rich but went with it, as at the point of sale delivery was stated to arrive in 2 days time. BUT when the invoice later arrived by email that delivery had changed to TEN days time. I telephoned the company who advised that the Delivery date given on the invoice was the "worst case scenario, back of the queue date, as I had NOT opted for the enhanced delivery option". This was NOT clearly shown at the point of sale. I had to pay an additional £10 fee via PayPal in order to get the next possible enhanced delivery date, which turned out to be in 3 days time. As I say when it was delivered, it came from Warrington about a 40minute drive away in one of their own vans, so no expensive courier fees were paid out at all. I felt totally conned. What a great way to push their profit margin up. I think Trading Standards should review their "Point of Sale" experience provided to their online customers.

Rated by how it solves errors, not successes.

First order was good. At 2nd attempt, website showed stock available but when then advised that stock not available until Aug13th when I tried to pay. I signed up for the offered email notification (which never arrived). I repeated the order several weeks later but only one item arrived on time, to do the work. Called customer services to be told they'd need to wait minimum 24hrs before being able to make a decision, as item might still be on van. Total cost of missing item was less that £5 sale price. Why not simply send out another? 3days later they decided to send another but sent 3 in total, 3 packages and two deliveries, plus lots of missed phone calls, but only 2 voicemails from customer services to see if they'd arrived. Then the laugh of the day. They phoned up with the expectation I would spend my precious time to pack up and send back their erros, remembering each is less than £5. I ask "how do they value the time of their customers?". It's OK for me to wait weeks, and then days, and then cope with their errors, then spend time on hold trying to get answers from their customer service, then take lots of unwanted phonecalls, then lots of emails asking me to review them...but that they expected me to spend my valuable time to send back their error of very limited cash value totally flabbergasted me! Makes me wonder if they've out-sourced their customer service to people who don't know what this business actually does? Edited: As a result of this review I was contacted again by Customer Services who bent over backwards to help me. I have been consistently so impressed with this that I have return to edit, review and increase their star-rating. I am now happy to recommend them.
