A Decade of Pain, Financial Loss & Betrayal – International Patients Beware.
I am a relatively young British citizen and have spent the last 10 years flying from the UK to India — sometimes once, sometimes twice a year — trusting Dentzz, Mumbai, with my dental care. Since 2015, they have performed multiple root canals, bridges, sinus lift surgeries, and five dental implants on me, in that order, monetarily profiting at every stage.
Not a single treatment has lasted more than a year without failing.
Instead, I’ve endured:
• 2015–2024: Root canals and bridges failing, leading to more invasive procedures. Crowns chipping or coming off — in most cases despite having undergone (and been charged separately for) gum contouring surgery.
• 2017 implant surgery: Caused sinus problems and nightly nose blockages that lasted for years.
• 2019 reckless implant surgery: Two failed implants requiring multiple return trips, possible jaw fracture risk, and an unannounced downgrade from the premium Nobel Biocare implants I paid for to cheaper Ankylos implants — with no refund.
• Permanent loss of multiple teeth on my right side (upper and lower jaw).
• Left jaw compromised by placing implants next to already failing root canal–treated teeth instead of replacing them with a proper implant bridge — meaning more treatment is still needed.
Across a decade, I have:
• Spent thousands of pounds on flights and hotels alone, plus thousands more on UK dentists to check or repair Dentzz’s work.
• Lost valuable time, endured significant pain, and lived with constant stress over my dental health — often being forced to travel back to Mumbai for remedial work.
• Been denied basic, essential documents: no implant passports, no warranty papers, no record of bone graft or abutment materials used, and no details on the quality of crowns placed — leaving me with no way to verify the authenticity of what’s been put in my mouth, despite repeated verbal and written requests.
Dentzz’s practices are deeply concerning:
• Dental records are handwritten and can easily be altered after the fact.
• Pricing is inconsistent and appears arbitrary — there is no standard price list, even when requested.
• Staff turnover is high — the dentist who treats you may be gone by your next visit, and new staff will deny responsibility for previous work or blame you and your “biology” for failures.
• In my case, they have avoided accountability at every stage, relying on silence, denial, and superficial fixes. Dishonesty is a recurring pattern among both dentists and management.
• On my most recent visit in June 2025, I learned that newly hired implantologists were not only recent graduates but also, presumably, not highly experienced. For a clinic charging premium rates, it is unacceptable that relatively junior doctors perform complex implant surgeries on unsuspecting patients — often older international patients.
I have raised my complaints in person, over email, and directly with their Head of Operations. Their reluctance to respond is obvious. They prefer WhatsApp messages (often edited after sending), have removed their clinic logo from their profile, and make escalation difficult — it took days just to obtain the Head of Operations’ email address so I could formally submit my grievances.
If you are considering Dentzz because of their glossy marketing, Western patient photos, staged interviews, or promises of “world-class care” — think again. In my experience, you risk not just your money, but your health, your time, and your peace of mind. You may even end up paying more than you would in your home country.
I cannot go back to 2015 and save myself the pain and financial burden — but you can avoid it entirely by never going there in the first place.
This has been the worst medical decision of my life. I would not wish this decade-long nightmare on anyone.
