" LESS SMARTY MORE MALARKY "

As the TV ad should say for about Motorworld
"Less Smarty more Malarkey"
I needed a specific brand of Castrol fully synthetic oil
which according to their web page my local Motorworld had in stock, as the store is only 4 miles away I popped over to make the purchase
The senior chap that served me was really good, and knowledgeable, and explained he had cheaper oils than Castrol, But the customer specifically wanted to stick with Castrol
At this point I need to mention that both my son and myself have accounts with Motorworld
The oil was placed on the counter and to my utter amazement was told the 5 Ltrs can was £114.99
I honestly thought the chap was having a leg pull with me
BUT no I asked him to check and double check, and the price was still £114.99
I told them I did not remember the price on their web page but it was around £48.00, he was embarrassed to tell me that if I order on line and click and collect it would be cheaper, But I am at the store ready to pay and off to go and get on with the vehicle service.
eventually I drove home went on the web page booked the oil on click and collect
went back to the store, handed over the purchase on line slip and the oil was handed over,
how much did it cost me £47.87, that is cheaper by £67.12.
what on earth is Motorworld doing with their in shop prices ??? it is utter madness,
and as my son and I normally do our vehicle servicing stock up on Sunday's, for the following week
Another bombshell was discovered, Motorworld have decided that they will shortly not be opening on Sunday's,
We feel sympathy for the store staff at Motorworld as they are great guys, but some decision makers somewhere, are absolute putting this business on a suicide path

timely reminder of policy renewal…

timely reminder of policy renewal coming up due, time to check though all cover details , easy to change aspects of cover if anything has changed,
auto renewal if selected so no possible error in cover by forgetting to renew,
easy to deal with and personally tailored policy cover to suit our circumstances and needs
Could not be more satisfied and pleased

Jonathan was outstanding and efficient…

Jonathan was outstanding and efficient in everything he did to help us with a smart meter dilemma now totally resolved thanks to jonathan's continual help with several emails being exchanged until everything was resolved
It was at a sad time for myself having lost my second sister within 8 weeks of each other and being greatly upset .
I do not even remembering my mentioning their passing to a total stranger.
but today I received the most beautiful sympathy card, and an outstanding bunch of white roses
brought tears to my eyes.

application on line form not easy to understand

I found the on line I S A application difficult to negotiate, the options which were not immediately self explanatory, and the form would not accept numbers such as national insurance and mobile telephone numbers, with spaces although the system does not tell the applicant to fill in numbers without any spaces, the suggested 10 minutes took me over half an hour to complete, and almost gave up and said to hell with this, as I am sure many have done

experience spoiled by rushed box closure

the plants themselves were good and healthy
and well taped together to prevent being tossed about during delivery
BUT
the lid of the cardboard box was completely open on delivery on inspection I found that the single strip of brown parcel tape used to secure the two halves of the top of the box lid, had been applied almost solely to one half lid, and just 10mm overlapping onto the second half lid, which during transit had let go allowing to lid to open, the plants were open to be seen

Moved over to Homeprotect

Changed from a long time customer of a previous insurer to Homeprotect, as I liked the on line facility to tailor my house cover, to match our needs, in particular the amount of contents cover offered by Homeprotect,
and the competitive premium, along with Homeprotect's policy of helping homeless individuals.
Having to pay tax on the premium for insuring my own property, I think is a disgrace, whatever the colour of the government of the day.

multiple orders one delivery multiple P&P charges

placed four orders for different plants
each plant was really very healthy and strong no complaints
only reason for 4 star rating is because each plant triggered a £6.99 cost for P&P although all were delivered in one delivery.
surely multiple orders placed at the same time should cost less in P&P charges

the pictures on garden express website were very good and along with a description and tips available on the site for pruning and planting the site was really good
and when the plants arrived they were very healthy strong plants very very pleased with garden express

Tailored policies, and first class telephone staff

my previous insurer of many years declined to quote for renewal because the value of my house contents had been re assessed and because of a set of bespoke oak furniture was outside their contents limit.
I found Homeprotect on the internet, and filled out the online application which allowed me to tailor my policy
and set the contents cover at the correct level.
all went smoothly, and to have peace of mind I telephoned Homeditect and spoke to a very very helpful and knowledgeable person, we went through my cover as I had entered the details on line, and any questions were answered quickly,
I ended up with a comprehensive household policy fully explained and met all my needs
Absolutely stress free, and excellent policy and service. Will recommend to family and friends.
and my premium is also helping reduce homelessness what a wonderfull bonus.

Admin has much room for improvement

the receptionist on the telephone was first class no complaints
but the admin with my dual bike policy thereafter leaves a lot to be desired, the county in my address ceased to exist in 1993, and mail (which I have opted for using this obsolete county can ent up in Belfast in Ireland at the royal mail "unknown address dept.
Then I attached proof of no claim from my previous insurer shown on their renewal invitation
Then some time later I get an email telling me that my NCB was not registered on the national data base and that this may be because my previous insurer may not use the same data base
my policy does not run out until 10th Sept, and I assume the insurer would not enter my NCB entitlement until after that date
this email despite my having attached a copy of my invitation to renew from the current insurer clearly showing my 9+ years NCB entitlement
I just wonder If the worst happens will the handling of a claim have the same inefficient admin involved

Easy to order clearly laid out ordering format
only 4 star rating because, as I wanted the first issue to be the October issue,
(I already purchased the Sept Mag)
But could find no option to choose my first issue.

saved substancial amount on my original renewal quote

made my renewal easy and was given impartial advice how i could remove some unwanted aspects of the standard policy, by going on line and using a policy which allowed the unwanted aspects in the renewal policy to be removed,
I did this and it reduced my premium by over a £100
I cannot fault this customer service

the requested call back was received within the hour, Nick was the caller and was able to answer my technical question in relation to mixing left over silk and matt product

Ordered coin not in delivery…

my delivery was one coin short I waited a few days just in case the coin had been sent separately, then rang, explained the issue, and was quickly informed on my order the coin was out of stock, now available again and was being posted to me,
my only critisism is that had they included a note of explanation inside the original delivery, it would have saved me from being concerned and ending up telephoning Westminster,
otherwise very satisfied
