So helpful

What a great place. Have had some minor repairs in the past and found them very efficient. This time took my car in with a coolant tank leak. They spent a long time finding the fault was a water pump and looking into costs when I realised it was covered under warranty. They allowed me to leave the car overnight awaiting vehicle recovery and then refused payment for the time they had spent. Will definitely use again.

Love my greenhouse

I ordered the Chartley growers greenhouse in 18 by 12 foot red cedar and I am so pleased with it. The 3 installers arrived promptly and worked all day to get it finished early, despite a lot of hefty showers and high winds. The extra high roof is great if you want to plant permanently into the soil. Really lovely finish all round.

Anyone but this company

I bought the home breakdown policy through Utility Warehouse, who don’t have any interest once you have signed up, simply passing complaints to Preferred Management who are simply the worst company to deal with. The problems started in October 2023 when a hot water pump broke. While they sent several plumbers round to look at it, PM didn’t actually provide anyone to mend it. They then claimed the pump wasn’t covered by the policy which resulted in a further delay until they agreed it was covered. They then asked me to find a plumber and they would reimburse me the cost. It took me several weeks to find a plumber willing to do the work. On submitting the quote to PM they then started the same argument that the pump wasn’t covered, eventually agreeing it was and I could go ahead with the work. Nearly a month ago I sent the invoice, which I had to pay £1224 up front to the plumber. PM have refused to acknowledge the invoice, have ignored numerous reminders and are now leaving me no option but to pursue this through the small claims court.
On a second issue, one of their plumbers told me that there was a problem with the electrical wiring on the heating system. We accepted this wouldn’t be covered by the policy, got an electrician in who said the problem was a broken thermostat which should have been covered. PM agrees it was covered but then refused to reimburse the money to us on the basis the invoice wasn’t on headed notepaper, even though the invoice had all the details required to check it was genuine. They told me this on Christmas Day and when I replied said they couldn’t respond due to the bank holiday. It took 2 months to get our money back. So honestly, you couldn’t recommend this bunch to anyone and one wonders why Utility Warehouse continues its relationship with them.
20 April update:
So I messaged ‘Cat’ to the email she asked, which was the same one I had been emailing and had been ignored every time, and low and behold I got an immediate response saying they would follow it up with their accounts department on Monday. But another week on, no update and more importantly no money. It makes me think ‘Cat’ was just responding for the benefit of Trustpilot.

Hopeless customer service

Last year, a few days after moving home I received an email to say my online subscribed order was being prepared. Even though I went online to my account immediately to change the address I was told it was too late and it was sent to my old address. I updated my details but the next scheduled delivery in February was also sent to my old address - 100 miles away. Despite raising this issue online, all I get back are stupid automatic emails saying my ticket has been updated. Whatever that means. The only other communication told me to ask the neighbours if they had my parcel. Clearly hadn’t bothered to read my complaint or check my account. So I’ve asked them to refund and close my account. The response ‘ your ticket has been updated’. Absolutely hopeless organisation and customer service.

Harassing

Ordered some items for a Christmas present. Could have done with some communication to say when they would be dispatched, but they did arrive eventually 9 days later. I deliberately didn't sign up for marketing e-mails but nevertheless have been bombarded with them for the last month. Tried to unsubscribe but still receiving unwanted 'offers'. Won't be buying from them again.

Incomplete delivery

Only delivered 2 out of 3 parcels in the lot but marked as all delivered on the tracking, didn’t bother to ring the bell, even though we were in. Delivery was plants so no doubt they will be dead by the time they sort it out.
Update. Contacted Yodel’s useless web chat to be told the tracking shows the parcel was delivered. Tell me something I don’t know! Infuriating bunch.

Unreliable flights

Flight was 2 hours late going out to Bodrum which meant we arrived in the early hours of the morning instead of late evening. It was an hour late coming back, which the captain said was normal for this time of year as things get busier. Not sure why this isn’t factored into the timetable if that is the case. Transfers were good and accommodation at Tropicana Beach in Gumbet nice and clean and staff very pleasant. The food and drinks were expensive though.

What is the point of their service contract?

Paying £330 a year for the service contract but initially told we would have to wait a month to get the heating fixed. After many phone calls managed to get it down to 2 weeks only for them to cancel on the day and had to wait another week to get it fixed. What am I actually paying for here?

Another ‘not working at home’ shambles

Dishwasher delivered in March has broken down 4 times. Engineers useless and Curry’s not interested in replacement. They think they can keep sending engineers until the guarantee runs out. Clearly no knowledge of CCA and faulty goods. Send a long email to their online customer service email for it to bounce back saying it was no longer in service. What a joke they have become. I must have pressed 30 options to get to a service advisor. Take it it is another 30 to get fobbed off with their ‘non- existent customer service’

The worst customer service

The worst customer service. I could weep with frustration at the hours I have spent trying to sort out the simplest of problems with their online chat. My mobile hotspot device was stolen and all I wanted was a replacement box. Passed about from one chat to another, long delays, repeated security questions, total inability to understand what I needed, and all they kept offering was a new contract. The webpage had pop ups that refused to go and all I was told was ‘it works for me’. 5 hours of trying and I still don’t have an order for a new box. How can something so simple be so difficult for a firm like Vodafone? Glad I don’t have shares😩

A plastic stitch up

Like others have said this company operates on the fringes of what is legal in the U.K. the only thing that can be said is they do actually send ‘something’ but it is garbage and nothing like the pictures. When I requested a refund I got told they don’t refund sale items. But every item is a sale item on their site. They suggested I could sell it on - to some other poor sucker like me lol.

Found the mattress very comfortable. I tend to get hot at night but found the mattress quite cool. No disturbance from my restless partner which you get with the spring mattresses. The delivery was very efficient and quick.

Comprehensive and efficient

Seemed pretty efficient. Instructions were clear, course comprehensive. Would have liked a little longer to review my notes before the exam but since I passed first time perhaps not necessary. Don’t give a home phone number as they send lots of text messages which was pretty useless unless you used a mobile number. Overall very satisfied with the service
