Not a great experience

Not a great experience. Order cancelled twice after ordering a bag in the sale, and told it was 'out of stock'. However, they seemed to have enough stock to be able to readvertise the same item at more than double the price the following week. Im sure they will offer a subsequent 'discount' that will be entirely meaningless. I wish there was a contractual requirement to provide an item if it is in stock.

ordered several times

Have ordered several times. Customer service is quite variable - there is a woman who is lovely and really accommodating, but another time a guy answered was was really unhelpful and actively obstructive and completely put us off ever making a big order at full price. Had a couple of lines through some grade a carpet, but equally when one order had a carpet that was ripped the delivery company advised rejecting the order and was refunded with only a couple of emails. But if you can find the right size for you there are some very good prices. Would use for small carpets or stairs etc, but maybe not to recarpet an entire house.

Used to be such a great company-not now…

Used to be such a great company with good customer service you could call - now the chat function makes speaking to a human so difficult, impossible to edit an order, no proper complaints process, and to top it off stayed in all day for a delivery that didnt arrive. In the past I've overlooked poor quality shower tray, blocking waste, and expensive add ons given it tends to be cheaper overall. I have used VP four times and recommended to several others, but it will be the last time I use based on the experience I've had this time - you need to start using phones again and improve your service.

Individual centres and staff are great…

Individual centres and staff are great and really recommend. Management and head office planning are terrible. They have diverted all the calls from individual centres, and then dont reply to online enquiries - over a week from initial query and still no reply for something that would have taken 5 minutes if we could actually speak to the friendly and helpful staff who actually work in the centre. Just seems like management dont care when there are simple solutions, like allowing people to call the centre direct.

a scam, dont use this website!

Made the mistake of using this as it had a backpack I liked, the website seemed OK, and I assumed PayPal would pay back if it went wrong. They shipped a worthless chain and no response to emails. PayPal refunded, but had to pay import duties so still out of pocket. Seems obvious now but will be trusting my instincts next time when it comes to copy pasted 'about us' descriptions and registered address was for an entirely different company. Dont use!

Avoid any responsibility for their bookings

As with others, no attempt at providing a refund for covid. These people are the uber of accommodation, hiding behind the claim that only connect people to properties even though they are happy to charge huge fees with very minimal overheads to do so. Such a contrast with cancellation experience for other companies. Have used them a number of times in the hope they would be better company than airbnb, but certainly will never use them again - they will loose a lot more in commission from me in the long term.
