I've had it with this card issuer

I've had it with this card issuer. My card payment for a new laptop has just been declined although I'm well within my credit limit and my card has been linked to my Amazon account for years.

They also won't increase my credit limit although I have an excellent credit score and it is way below what I have on other cards.

I have settled every single month in full by direct debit since I took out the card a couple of years ago. I only use it for the rewards as I used to be a regular visitor to Waitrose. New Day have no idea of how to manage financially literate and credit worthy customers.

Poor service

It is a shame because the meals were generally good even if rather repetitive. A somewhat strange attitude to "store cupboard"ingredients - maple syrup isn't in mine - but OK.

However recently the ingredients were sometimes missing or the wrong ones sent instead and today my box has not shown up at all.

They waited until 5pm to send the email to tell me which is far too late. It's not even being sent tomorrow. They have just cancelled this week and I'm expected to wait until next Monday. For an expensive box this is really not good enough. If the box was damaged, a replacement one should be dispatched asap.

Let your customers browse in peace!

After an unpleasant experience at the Bath shop-a very pushy salesman, wouldn't leave me alone to browse in peace and insisted on "mansplaining" how polarisation works, even asking for my budget ( not an issue at your price banding) and ignoring my request to be left alone to actually look around, I'm afraid I had much the same experience yesterday at the Swindon Outlet centre.

Not quite so patronising, but again I left empty handed. I know what styles and colours suit me and I trust my friend's opinion rather than a salesman. Leave me alone to actually look at your stock!

I have now bought my lovely new sunglasses from a different retailer.

Is this a new thing? I've spent £1000s in Sunglasses Hut over the years and have never had this degree of pushiness before.

Looks like I made an expensive mistake here

Ordered a single string of "Pickwick" 150 string of lights for my tree.

Received 2 short strings of 40 lights. One of which had some faulty bulbs and the second doesn't work at all!

Some of the bulb holder shades were broken too.

I can't even use the online reporting form to report a problem as that isn't working either.

There is no way to phone them so I've had to use the generic online contact form.

UPDATE - was contacted by them this morning by Lizzie and offered replacement or a full refund due to the warehouse error so I'm amending my star rating from 1. I'm still not convinced by the overall quality of their products though.

No longer fit for purpose

For the second time in recent weeks I have a Tracked48 parcel "stuck" in the mailing centre in Bristol. It's been there for days now, everyday it's diligently re-scanned in but it's going nowhere. I had an email saying it was out for delivery the day it arrived there but nothing showed up and subsequent tracking just says it's at the mail centre.

Appalling service. No wonder they are haemorrhaging market share. They deserve to.

Edit - in response to the RM reply below. I have contacted "Customer Services". They were no help at all and unable to give me any information other than what I could see online for myself. Royal Mail is simply not fit for purpose

Check your renewal quote!

I was with A Plan at Bletchley for many years and was very happy with the service and the policy. I have a modified car so most insurers won't offer cover.

I was unaware they had been bought out until I got my renewal quote. I checked it against the market as I always do and was rather surprised to find the cover 20% cheaper from another specialist who has always been more expensive. On telling Howden I was not renewing they started playing that tired old game of offering to match.

I expect an honest "best" quote at renewal from an broker and have gone with the alternative.

Love this brand

I do not fit into their normal demographic but love some of the prints and dress styles.Sizing is quite generous too. The only quibble is that I would love some of the trousers but they don't cater for those of us who need long!

Great quality and a reasonable price and I'm totally in love with my new Damballa Snake earrings. So unusual!

Appalling

Courier didn't even bother to ring the door bell but just shoved a card through the door with the house name and that the parcel was at the Co-op. No other details.

Had to make a special trip to the post office to be told that he does this all the time. It took them a while to find my parcel too.

Utterly unresponsive

Utterly unresponsive. I sent a message to customer services with a very straightforward question.

Other than a toe curling cheerful auto response the silence has been deafening. My follow-up chaser has also been ignored.

Don't rely on a response from this company if you do have a problem with the product. You could be waiting a very long time.

Against my better judgement I have ordered - I just hope the product works as I don't think I'd have much chance of any help from them if it doesn't.

Tracked 24 is a waste of money

Still waiting for my tracked 24 parcel which was dispatched to the "care" of RM last Thursday. Delivery should have been Friday or Saturday at the latest.

Tracking was updated to show it was going to be delivered on Sunday. This was rapidly followed by a further message

"Your parcel has reached your local delivery office. We've received a request not to deliver mail to the property your item is addressed to today. We'll attempt delivery as per the instructions we've received, which is usually on the next working day."

Obviously no such message to retain was sent by either the retailer or me.

Postie has just been but no parcel.

I paid extra for delivery as it's urgently needed. What a waste of money.

Great at not delivering

Out of the last 2 parcels that were sent to me via Evri, one is completely lost and one was finally delivered days late after having "missed its connection".

Customer service is impossible to access and the chatbot is all but useless. When an apparent "human" does respond they make promises they either cannot or don't intend to keep.

Great at losing packages

Out of the last 2 items sent to me via Evri, one has disappeared without trace and the seller has refunded. The second was "out for delivery" but never showed up.

The person who responded to my chat box enquiry said it would be delivered the following day and she would contact me if it didn't. It didn't and she didn't.

Eventually delivered 3 days later. Awful company and I'm surprised so many big retailers still use them.

Still waiting for despatch

Still waiting for despatch at over a week. Customer service is quick to trot out the platitudes with cringeworthy sentences like "I know you’ve probably been patiently waiting, glancing out the window, checking the letterbox every minute to see if that snuggly package has arrived. We love our Oodies too, and we know the feeling!" and asking me to wait 72 hours which is now a distant memory.

Losing faith it will ever show up now. Cannot recommend ordering from this company at the present time.

Pity the poor person who has to open my parcel

A large box of frozen dog food was due to be delivered on 22nd December.

Luckily the retailer sent out a replacement box or my dogs would have run short by now.

The original box is still missing - I rather hope it isn't delivered now as the contents will be rotten. Tracking hasn't been updated since 22nd and it's clearly lost

I know it's been a busy period recently but the box is clearly marked perishable.

Yes - quite right. You are not on my list and never will be. Stop with the spam. If this is an example of how Add People works then it's no advertisement for your services.

Update 09/02/23 - Add People don't like my review and want to get it removed so I've edited out the direct quote from their email. I'm still getting emails from them though - unsubscribe does not work.

This is the last company on earth I would trust with a social media campaign
