Lazy delivery driver

Lazy delivery driver yet again dumped package on doorstep and online it was marked as "parcel handed to resident". How do they keep getting away with it?

Great company, easy installs

Just cancelled MS Office subscription at an extortionate £59.99 a year and bought Softmall's Office Professional Plus 2024 for £29.99 as a one-off. Security updates until late 2029 so it will be fine until the end of 2029 making it £7 a year! Easily purchased and installed in less that 15 minutes. I have bought from them before and they are helpful, trustworthy with brilliant prices.

Parcel left out in rain

Despite instructions on door to leave in bin round the side, this utterly useless driver yet again left our package out in the rain on top of the bin he was supposed to put it in. Amazon are not bothered. Trying not to buy from Amazon - why should you give money to a company that doesn't care?

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I bought a pair of trousers, a shirt and a pair of dance shoes. Whilst the trousers and shirt were just about OK the dance shoes were unusable due to very hard plastic uppers. I requested a refund under the 14 day return covered by UK trade law. The emails from lightinthebox just gave me the run-around, firstly offering a discount for any future purchase, then subsequent emails just offering discounts, and finally giving an address in China to return the shoes to, which they would be very aware would have a prohibitive postage cost. If I had done my research I would have realised this company is in China and would not have bought anything from them. Experiences on ebay and other platforms with Chinese companies always follows a pattern, making returns impossible. They know this and because they are not based in the UK it makes enforcing trade law very difficult. The main reason I bought from them is the nearly half a million reviews on trustpilot, most of which are favourable. I would now question the validity of these reviews. They mostly are very positive one-liners with robotic grammar. Very suspicious. Also, lightinthebox Facebook page states 8.1m followers and 8.1m likes, which I doubt the validity of as well. A lesson learned. Do not buy online from companies without a valid UK address. I am now trying to get my money back through section 75 chargeback and feel confident that my bank will get my money back with the email evidence I am going to provide. Lesson learned.
Regarding the response from them below I have already raised a ticket and had to and fro emails which is just a tactic to give a pretence of action leading nowhere and a waste of time.
After posting this review they have offered a £26.40 refund for the shoes, which cost £44, without sending them back.

Abrupt, unhelpful staff

Visited the Lancaster store today 25 March. Pharmacy staff, one an apprentice, the other a pharmacist both unhelpful, abrupt and not at all helpful and a couldn't care less attitude as if everything was a bother to them. I've had this experience before with the young apprentice and she needs training in how to deal with customers. Unfortunately, this lets down other pharmacy staff there who are helpful and friendly.

Very good customer services and reliable broadband

We migrated from Shell to TalkTalk. The broadband and landline work well and the signal is very reliable. We did have a problem like other Shell customers registering and using the online account which did take quite a while to fix - but, they fixed it! All our dealings with customer services, who are in South Africa, have been very encouraging. The staff are efficient, friendly and conscientious and because of this we are very happy to stay with TalkTalk. Looking at other broadband providers' reviews like Virgin, EE and others does not instil confidence. Well done TalkTalk.

Great customer service experience

Just bought a Samsung Galaxy A15 5g phone due to budget price and long support period. We were struggling to answer calls as the answer button did not work when pressing/swiping/tapping it. Rang customer services this morning, got through quickly, the agent quickly assessed the problem, took remote control and fixed it really quickly. We were a little concerned about the quality of customer services due to so many negative reviews but based on this morning the chap who helped us deserves a 5 star review. The phone now answers first time with one tap. We are also happy with the phone which at £114 does everything you could want. Very happy!

Laptop broken beyond repair after only 2 years

I bought an Asus Vivobook laptop 2 years ago. It started out OK and then became sluggish. However, disaster struck after an Asus Bios update from MyAsus after which Windows would not boot and damage was irreparable. Will not buy another Asus.

Lazy staff, trains frequently cancelled

Staff, mostly from Barrow according to our ticket office, don't turn up if there's football on or a Sunday when they don't fancy working and just take time off sick. Trains frequently cancelled including today's. Why don't they sack them? It's bad enough with all the industrial action without the added useless staff! Just spent ages on their equally useless website trying to claim cost of our tickets only to have "submit claim" going round in circles. Is this deliberate? Complete mis-management.

Great service so far

We bought a Bosch serie 6 washing machine last Friday and noticed a small pool of water sitting in the door gasket after a wash cycle. A Bosch engineer came yesterday and reassured us it is normal to have a small residue at the base of the rubber gasket and this happens with all washing machines. He then conducted a thorough test of the machine. He was very friendly and informative and we were impressed with the service. It also comes with a free 5 year parts and labour warranty. We have noticed that the majority of reviews on here are negative and hope that Bosch is trying to address these.

Excellent customer service and good quality boilers

Firstly, we would like to praise the installers of our boiler, Gasline in Lancaster. They are super friendly and the work is of the highest standard. We bought, on their recommendation, the latest Vaillant Ecotec plus 826, which has only been out a month and is state of the art. Unfortunately, we were very unlucky to have noisy diverter valve which buzzed a bit when the boiler switched between central heating and hot water. This was not a problem. We rang Vaillant and an engineer, Paul (who was equally friendly and very efficient) arrived the next day and replaced it, no quibble, with a new one under the 10 year guarantee. We could not be happier and are glad we went with Vaillant. The new Ecotec replaced another 35 year old (and still working) Vaillant combi boiler, which led us to stick with Vaillant due to the quality build and durability. Another satisfied customer by the look of previous reviews on here.

Superb customer service

Brilliant customer service. We always buy from ao.com. The best way to find out how good a company is is when a problem needs sorting out. We recently had cause to ring them about a fridge freezer which had a fault but was 3 years old and out of warranty. Without prompting ao.com asked for an engineer's report which we got saying the appliance was beyond economic repair. As it was faulty from when it was first delivered 3 years ao.com refunded a depreciated amount which we are happy with, paid for the engineer's callout and delivered a new fridge of our choice free of charge and collected the faulty one. Absolutely brilliant service throughout with all customer service agents we dealt with being friendly and helpful and reassuring. We also love our new replacement. The drivers are very courteous and careful as well taking care as they lift through awkward gaps and positioning the new appliance . Well done ao.com. Would recommend you to anyone. Why can't other companies be the same?

Brilliant service!

We had a blocked sewer yesterday so I rang the United Utilities phone number and spoke to a really helpful lady. She said she had put it down as a priority. Two hours later we had a call to say they were coming to fix it and were 25 minutes away. The came at 7pm when it was dark. They were really friendly and fixed the blockage quickly, told us what the problem was and said they had reported it to be lined so it didn't happen again. Brilliant service! Would have given them more stars if we could!

Fantastic customer service!

Fantastic customer service. Our T2-R freeview box is really easy to use. We have rung customer service a couple of times and found them to be very helpful and friendly. This week we had a minor problem and they are sending us a USB update in the post free of charge even through the box is now over 2 years old. Can't ask for more..
