Don`t even entertain this business.
Having contacted thier Representative in the Loughborough store, he subsequently visited us to look at what we required. We requested a written quote following choosing what we wanted but were told that written quotes were not Company policy. He gave us a verbal quote and informed us that an operative would be round to measure up sometime soon, which would take about an hour to complete. He then told us that he would return to pick up half the money - we assumed that this would happen after the measuring had been done, NOT before, therefore firming up the original quote. We were mistaken. We received a telephone call from a lady in the office saying that he would be visiting at 8.30am the following day. We replied that this was not a suitable time for us and could he please come at 9.30 am on a different day, the 9th of October. On the appointed day he arrived at 8.30am and was most annoyed when we asked him to come at 9.30am as requested on the telephone.
He asked us to pay half the quote - we understood that he was here to measure up. Not so. Again we requested a written quote and he became heated and told us that ``of course the customer is always right``. We had given him my email address previously and were assured that, as he would be in the office that Sunday, that he would email the quote.
Nothing has arrived ( I have checked my spam folder and anywhere else it could have gone on my computer but - nothing. That was over a week ago, ( it is now the 20th October). We have had no communication from anyone at Dream Doors since then.
We were very disappointed with both his attitude and his service as your representative which, according to reviews, is normally excellent and do not seem worthy of your organisation.
Sadly for him, we have now commissioned another firm to renovate our kitchen and although they are more expensive, at least we have prices in writing and the measuring took 15 minutes (very efficient) and was executed within 3 days of initial contact, complete with paperwork and installation date.
I felt that it was appropriate to contact Dream Doors directly with this complaint rather than making it a public review but am still waiting a) for a response and b) a quote - the date being now 27th October 2020.
My advice - do what we did and go somewhere else for pleasant and efficient service.
