Scam and lack of care
We have been with chase for 3 years. Within last 2 weeks a payment for £195 was taken from our account for a tiktok payment. Our tiktok account was hacked, details changed and blocked. We did not make this payment nor did we authorise anything on the app. When we contacted from chase we were advised there was no error on their behalf and advised there was nothing they could do! Our main issue was if there was a payment for £195 online who authorised the payment? There was no "approve payment" message on the app so why did the bank authorise this payment for an online purchase especially when payments are capped.
A police case has been opened for this fraudulent transaction. Tiktok has managed to retrieve the account and add more security. I am just SO surprised at the behaviour and actions by the bank. Now in process of changing accounts. I would advise to stay away from chase. Especially since all our wages went into that account.
