I used Bike Delivery to collect my son's bike from his lodgings in Cardiff and deliver to Oban. The whole process was very smooth and the bike arrived intact. The box had taken a bit of a battering but that's what it's for, after all.

Hermes service always appears chaotic. Tracking is all but useless, since few events are recorded and the accuracy of the information is questionable. As a result delays remain unexplained. But packages do seem to arrive eventually.

Simply Electricals was the first to drop the price on the TV I wanted, so I placed an order. Friendly and helpful email correspondence about delivery ensued. Unfortunately the courier was a day late and particularly grumpy, which didn't endear the firm to my wife. The TV is fine, though, and I'm promised details of the five-year warranty shortly. It remains only to be seen whether SE lives up to its promise of cashback via topcashback.co.uk - this is an area where some suppliers have lost all their credibility with me.

Fitter was polite and friendly but, having removed the damaged tyre, found he didn't have the correct replacement. He offered to attempt a repair, rather than make a return visit, and I accepted. Fortunately it worked! I was pleased with the outcome, but later disappointed to find a number of fine scratches on the diamond-cut surface of the wheel. A partial refund was processed quickly without quibble.
