I recently used Taylor Rose for the purchase of my property, and I couldn’t be happier with the service provided. Jackie Kitching was professional, responsive, and thorough.
She kept me informed throughout the process, explained things clearly as the legal jargon can get confusing. She was always available to answer my questions. The transaction was completed smoothly and on time, thanks to her efficiency and attention to detail.
I would highly recommend Taylor Rose and Jackie Kitching to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly conveyancing solicitor. She made the experience feel seamless and well-managed.
Thank you again for your work on this one.
I have had the pleasure of working with Krystal, who has assisted with obtaining Grant of Administration following my father's passing.
Prior to engaging with Taylor Rose and Krystal, I had no experience with managing an estate, acquiring probate/administration, settling debt etc. A potentially very daunting and difficult experience was made so much easier with expert advice and assistance.
My involvement in the whole process was minimal, thankfully. I now have Grant of Administration and all of the related affairs in order thanks to Krystal.
I suspect I would be in a very different situation had I chosen to try and shoulder all of this by myself.
Would highly recommend.
Avoid this firm of solicitors like the plague. I instructed them to do a very simple remortgage on a previously unencumbered property I owned for 15 years which should’ve taken only a couple of weeks. It took three months and on no occasion have they apologised for their Tardy work.
I was originally given a quote of £953.60 plus VAT they then deducted £2,349.10 from the mortgage proceeds.
After a month when I hadn’t heard from them, I made a call and it was obvious from that call. Nothing had been done
After my enquiry to see what was happening, I was then asked for utility bills to prove my association with my property which I had owned for 15 years which they could have got from the land registry. This was a buy to let mortgage and therefore the landlord would have no utility bills and I tried to explain this very basic procedure to Reema Miah dealing with my case. Who then became very rude and suggested that I was attempting to prevent them from completing their compliance checks.
I was continually told the mortgage offer was not on the portal for them to view the information which it had been there for a month but they could not retrieve it.
One reason they could not retrieve it was they had not registered with the lender And were therefore no longer on their panel of solicitors until they registered which they did eventually.
I have been waiting for their customer care team to explain what happened and why such a delay on such a simple matter which was eventually concluded within two weeks after I started raising my concerns
All their delays were frustrating a contract I had with my builder to complete refurbishment work on my home.
And then the icing on the cake was after the mortgage was completed. They deducted their fees of £2,349.10 their quote was £953.60 plus VAT
I complained on the above issues and they blamed the lender knowing full well they had not registered with the lender they said
“Based on the above I will be unable to uphold your complaint due to Ms Miah contacting Kensington during this time, and the issue of the mortgage offer not being uploaded in a timely manner was due to an issue on their end” complete lies , it was their inefficiency
Utterly appalled. My buyers used Taylor Rose. The first solicitor Rebecca Karis lead us to believe she was diligently working away on the conveyancing, rudely batting away any chasing attempts before owning up after 15 weeks that she neither had the skills nor the time to report on my leashold flat. They then referred it to a sister firm partner Mr. Jamie Hole who promised to swiftly move the case forward. Neglecting to tell us that after 2 weeks in he was then taking 2 weeks leave and could not finish before. Then it turns out he wasn't a conveyancer and my buyers were uncomfortable with the 1 page legal report provided. My buyers complained and we got our 3rd solicitor who again promised to fast track things to aim for a completion date before surveys and time sensitive documents run out. We are now 20 weeks in and have been left in the dark. We are meant to be completing in 7 days but the buyers have no legal report,no contracts and have been told to stop interrupting whilst the due diligence is completed. I also note that most of the information was ready available after my previous sale fell through and Taylor Rose were provided with all previous documents. Total disaster, we have all been racked with stress and uncertainty through utter incompetence and a diabolical service. I can not stress how terrible this experience has been.
Where do I even begin, other than please do avoid working with Taylor Rose unless you want to lose your sanity in the process.
Our solicitor from the Peterborough branch made the whole process excruciating, horribly stressful, and upsetting, for reasons such as:
It took on average 2 weeks to get replies to emails, no matter how much we chased or how urgently we needed contact. Never once did we receive an apology or recognition of this. Our solicitor never answered the phone once in the year we worked with them, we were told not to bother and to only try on email, which was hopeless.
We were told progress was still ongoing when a change occurred in the property chain (one that meant things needed speeding up), to then be told over a month later that they had actually paused all work and not told us. They said this was because they were waiting on details we already had received.
Our purchase was no chain, and on average this takes 2-3 months, yet it took our solicitors far longer than this due to continually slow progress.
Our completion was delayed hours on completion day because Taylor Rose sent the wrong amount of money to the sellers. We completed at 4pm and were the only property in the chain.
Our solicitor was late with one of our completion payments to HMRC, which meant we got a £100 fine through the post a few weeks after completion.
I could really go on. It was a horrible experience from start to finish, and I could not more strongly recommend you do not work with them.

Elise has been extremly helpful during this period. With every all the professional and personal bumps a long the way, Elise gave us a lot of comfort and assurance, was the only person we knew we would have good news or progressive news. Would highly recommend. Thank you Elise

Taylor Rose asked me to amend my review to not to use names but I see all good reviews include solicitors names and I had TERRIBLE service from Victor and he needs to either learn how to deal with paying clients in a professional manner or needs a new job. This review is solely based on his treatment so it's relevant to my experience. I had an abusive and disrespectful call from him tonight, I firmly reminded him that we are not friends and I am a paying client who deserves respect. We are trying to sell our house and he is refusing to proceed with the sale and I cannot understand why and rather then respond to an email I sent and lay out facts he phoned me and did not handle the call with an ounce of professionalism and just led the call with hostility and anger.
Why are you unable to proceed with the sale?! As a solicitor give me the legal facts

The length of time it took my case to be completed was impressive. I know this was due to the hard work that was put in by Vivian Kilendo. When she was on annual leave for 3 days, my case came to a standstill until she returned.

TR was recommended to us by our mortgage advisor, and I'm so glad it was! Our solicitor Selina was amazing, the process was so smooth and as a first-time buyer I can confidently say that they helped us quite a lot and made the process really easy!
Really great firm!

Nadara was superb from start to finish and ably assisted by her colleague Amasha.
The sale was a little problematic but Nadara kept pressing to move matters along and was always providing regular updates.
Fantastic !

We were very pleased with the service received from Catherine Bell at
Taylor Rose. She was very professional and efficient, keeping us up to date and guiding us through the process step by step. Communication was straightforward either by phone or email and all queries dealt with in a timely manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending Catherine for legal guidance when selling and buying a property.

As a first time buyer I was cautious and at times overwhelmed about the whole process, but Ivanna Ibuno was extremely professional, reliable and supportive throughout. Ivanna was always ready to respond to my queries and explain any legalese with patience. Even when there were delays from the other side, she made sure to update me and advocate for me which was very reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to engage Ivanna or Taylor Rose in the future.

After many months and two protracted sales which collapsed at the last moment we finally exchanged and completed in October.
Throughout this time the Taylor Rose team - led by Sophie Fowkes, and assisted by Edwin Oshian and Asher Charlton-Williams - have been supportive, quick to respond to emails and professional. The cost was reasonable, and the performance first class.
We would not hesitate to recommend Taylor Rose and will certainly use their services in the future.

Long delays, little communication, and a rude and disrespectful approach from the solicitor.

Good efficient service from Taylor Rose, clear, easy to use portal for uploading documents, plus usual email/phone for communication, quick to respond to enquiries.

overall experience was as expected, however, on the day of completion of our purchase, we encounted some issues with the seller. We have needed, and still need, assistance on the matter, and want our solicitors to help us. For the last 2 weeks, all calls and emails to them have been ignored, resulting in us being even further out of pocket financially. still hoping this matter can be resolved, but the lack of response and communication is concerning.

Fantastic Conveyancing Solicitors. Adam Kerr is extreemly knowledgeable, supportive, tenacious and we felt confident all the way through the process that Adam would get this across the line in our time scales.

Taylor Rose was recommended by a friend as we were selling our house. June Bowler was assigned to our case. She did most of the work via email but, we also had her number so we could speak in person. We found the process excellent and June was extremely efficient and approachable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Taylor Rose and we would choose to use the company again in the future.
