I had a phone interview to get my Medicare Part A card on June 27. The person I spoke with was very rude, but I got through it and was told I'd get my card in 3 weeks. It's now 41 days, and no car... See more

Nine trips to the office and still NO RESULTS!
I've been to the Hamilton, OH office nine times. I've asked them over and over to update their website so I can see the number of credits I have toward my retirement.
They tell me they can see it from their side, but on the website where I log in, it still says zero.
This is wrong.
Why does it have to be so difficult to get accurate information on their website? They need better management, not to mention competent IT people.
Ms. Bynes, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
I was called back by Ms. Bynes(?) to assist me with completing my application for benefits since I recently turned 62. She was extremely awesome from the first "Good afternoon" to the last "Good bye". She immediately apologized for the 50 minute delay, as the call was initially scheduled for 1:00 p.m. She patiently explained the process. She patiently and professionally handled my regular interruptions. She patiently answered every question. Her calming voice and professionalism assuaged my through the roof anxiety.
Ms. Bynes is a GREAT asset to the SSA. Ms. Bynes should be recognized and commended for being exceptional at her job. Every caller should be so lucky to receive their call back from Ms. Bynes.
Ms. Bynes. The consummate exemplary civil service employee. Ms. Bynes, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
Sincerest and Warmest,

Naoni was great!
The wait was less than 30 minutes. The process was efficient. The staff person, Naomi at your 2500 Fontaine Rd, San Jose, Ca 95121 office was very helpful, with excellent relationship skills, knowledge and follow through
Lacking professionalism; responsiveness
Given date/time for phone interview r/t disability claim. Received letter in mail to verify appointment date/time. Day of appointment, no call was received at all. Called in to the local office number and was informed no call coming because spouse is not eligible. SSA just blew off the call leaving us hanging which is extremely unprofessional.
Called local SSA office, after on hold for 40+ minutes, spoke to male representative. Grilled with many, many questions for identity of myself acting as REP PAYEE of my spouse. Representative explained rationale r/t increase in fraud activity - this is understandable. Representative did some research and cleared up questions poised to him. Representative stayed calm and had caring attitude during call. For this part of the review - he receives a 5 star.
In the future, I would hope SSA does not give appts to others knowing full well they are not going to be responsive. Wasting another's time is disrespectful and just mean. Other representatives in the local SSA office could benefit from offering more compassionate, considerate interactions with persons they interact with - it should be more than just a paycheck!! They are all public servants, showing respect should be priority.
SICK AND TIRED OF SSA!
I’m 60 years old. I’ve worked, I’ve paid into the system, and now that I need it most, the very institutions that promised to protect me are turning their backs. My Supplemental Security Income (SSI) was suspended without cause, despite me following every instruction, submitting every document, and making every desperate phone call I could. I’ve been sick. I’ve been without income. And now, I’m facing eviction.
I have reached out to every agency, every elected official, those who *claim* to fight for people like me. I’ve spoken to staffers who either pass the buck or close my case altogether because I dared to seek help from more than one office at a time. I was told, “We can’t help because another office is already handling it.” And yet, **no one** has stepped in to actually resolve anything.
Where are the advocates? Where is the protection for the disabled, the sick, the elderly, those who don’t have corporate attorneys or lobbyists in their corner?
And let me be blunt: our councilmembers and elected officials are no better. They campaign on promises of equity and compassion, but when the rubber meets the road, they vanish. I’ve sent emails. I’ve called. I’ve cried. I’ve begged. And the silence from those sworn to represent us has been louder than any rejection notice I’ve ever received.
The system is broken. But worse than that, it’s indifferent.
So here I am: sick, struggling, and on the verge of homelessness. Not because I didn’t do my part, but because the safety net was never meant to *catch* people like me, it was meant to check a box and move on.
I want people to understand: **this is not just my story.** It’s the story of thousands, maybe millions, of people in this country who are punished for aging, punished for illness, and abandoned when they can no longer "contribute" in the ways society deems valuable.
To the Social Security Administration, to my elected representatives, and to every councilmember who’s ignored my cries for help: **you have failed us.**
I will not stop speaking out. And I will not be silent while you pretend to care.

Kept on the phone for over 45 minutes…
Kept on the phone for over 45 minutes and they never answered my call lousy customer service but it only falls inline with the notion that government workers are not invested in their jobs and is just a paycheck without no commitment to offering service to the people who pay their salaries
Request for Review of Unprofessional Customer Service Interaction on August 12, 2025ocial Security Administration,
Dear Social Security Administration,
On August 12, 2025, at approximately 11:48 AM, I received a callback after waiting 60 minutes to speak with a representative regarding a question about my elderly mother’s decreased SSI benefits. As her legal guardian, I was seeking information on her behalf. However, I was not aware that, since I am not her payee, I would be unable to receive details about her account.
During this call, the SSA representative I spoke with was very rude and unprofessional. When I politely asked her to lower her tone after she responded abruptly, she continued to speak dismissively, stating, “What do you want me to do for you?”
I fully understand and respect the SSA’s commitment to privacy and confidentiality for its customers. However, the unprofessional attitude and continued rudeness from the representative were unnecessary and disappointing—especially after I waited an hour for the callback.
I kindly request that this interaction be reviewed to help ensure better customer service in the future.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Kay
Negative Stars
0 Starts. Over 2.5 hours for death benefits. Tell the agent you want to set up an appointment to apply for benefits. They'll schedule it and determine whether it'll be on the phone or in person. Waited to be told to come into the office. This is why the government should not be in charge of our money!
If I could rate in the negative I would…
If I could rate in the negative I would rate it lower !!! What a complete waste of taxpayer money and time !! My porthole has been down for months to my account and I need to upload med records that I signed consent forms for them to get and did not I had to do it myself only after my ssi was denied and in appeal hinging on these medical records being uploaded . I’ve been fighting this for 4 years nearly . There is obviously zero accountability you can’t get any questions answered they all dodge the phones and actual work and quite honestly I feel dumber like I lost gray matter after even being on their site briefly !! Why does ssi put all that crap on there you people can’t even handle your primary job function much less all that smoke and mirrors circle jerk of lied and deception you have going . If this was a private sector company that ship would have sunk long ago !!
No help

Then they don't here you and give you phone numbers I don't have no help I don't know where stuff is I'm pissed and hurt angry furious right.if it somebody else who come from another country they will help them and give them anything they want and get.

I filed for social security online and it was no problem. They let you set the date and I put a few months ahead to meme sure they couldn’t dock me if I worked ( my full retirement was 66 and 8 months ) I was contacted by Mrs. Dylan’s and I’m telling you she was the nicest most pleasant person I’ve ever done business with. I’ve looked for a way to contact them and leave a compliment about her, unfortunately it’s only set up for complaints😟 I hope all of you have the same experience.

The Wesites is horrible!! Have the correct info and won't let you login. Can't get help, can't reset, says I chose "face or touch" and did not. Nothing simple for sure. I feel sorry for older people with out a fancy phone/tablet, or a computer.
Local office in Kerrville not much better
Well, the local office is not much better.
Two trips to their office, three 800# phone calls, and a total waste of an afternoon and my BP shooting up to 160, and I finally got the CORRECT help.
