Sent excellent condition iphone 12 mini, valuation issues due to damage which had no photo evidence and did not match my photos before sending.
Received back, fresh deep scratch on rear glass, which has now affected value. Trader is in denial!
Further check on company info, this was Sellphone24, now rebranded Handtec, all part of Evoocorp. Same problems, different name.

Scammers
"Sell Handtec" wish i'd read the reviews on here before sending in my phone. Same experience as everyone else is reporting - sent in my phone in pristine condition (had never been outside it's case) and they said the phone was scratched so reduced the offer amount. SCAMMERS. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Avoid at all costs you will be ripped off
Samsung S9
Sent my Samsung S9 back in July. Was quoted £90 but only received £25 because they claimed there were scratches on the front. Phone had been in it's cover for two years and was in perfect condition. Wouldn't recommend this company.
So I sent my phone off before I read…
So I sent my phone off before I read the reviews and they offered me £191. They received my phone and dropped it to £90!!! I have been emailing daily to get my phone sent back and they are not replying. They don’t have a phone that I can call. I have tried their Facebook to but no luck. How did anyone get their phone sent back? AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Scam!
They will give you a offer that sounds decent and then make up problems that it doesn't have and offer you peanuts for it, someone else has written a review saying if your phone is in genuinely good condition it's fine (must work for the company ripping people off) my iPad I then took to game and got more money than handtec/sellphone24 originally offered so it clearly was in fine condition, I barely used it, look at sellphone24 reviews and you will see what near enough everyone says, also when you send and they send back to you it isn't insured so if anything happens you have no money or device, just go into a game shop or use another company that is trustworthy!
If I could give this 0 stars I would
If I could give this 0 stars I would. Like many of you have already said leave well alone. Sent my phone off in top condition to then receive a email saying there is a small crack on left hand of the screen. Phoned then up and the person I spoke too said you could hardly make out the crack but it would still affect the use. I argued the fact that they reckon it would cost over £100 pound to fix the screen. RIP OFF and leave this company well alone.
Don’t do it ….scam
Don’t do it ….scam ! Got told one price then got 20 pounds for 3 iPhones had to wait 6 months emailed them so many times only just received the 20 today …what a rip off ! Customer service is a joke
Don’t do it!
Same as the other reviews really wish I checked reviews first. Got an offer for my iPhone 11 Pro Max of £575 sent phone in and got a revised offer of £450 saying there was a scratch and an issue with the camera. I knew this wasn’t true and requested they send it back without any damage and free of charge as stated on their site (I saw people were being charged £30 to return) Got the phone back to find a new long scratch at the top of the screen. Sent the same phone to another company who offered £550, I got the £550 offer within 24 hours of them getting the phone (they got it on a sat I got paid today Monday in full)
Avoid at all costs in terms of selling. This company do however have a good rep if you are buying…. I wonder why? I think they rip people off, people in less financial stead than some accept the decreased offer and this company make a massive profit. That’s my thoughts
Other company didn’t mention any issues with my phone, not even the scratch this company did before returning! No camera issue! AVOID!
Good service
I don’t often leave reviews but felt obliged to after receiving a good service from the company and seeing all the negative reviews.
I had an iPhone 12 Pro to sell and, after comparing prices through sellmymobile.com, decided to sell to Handtec as they were offering the best price.
After filling out a few details I submitted my order and within a couple of days or so I received a sending pack with prepaid envelope etc.
I was slightly concerned as my phone did take longer than expected to be received and also because of reading all the negative reviews, however, after around a week, they got in touch to inform me that they had received the phone and it would now be sent to the technicians to be checked over.
The next day I received an email asking me to send a copy of my ID as my phone was a high value item which can potentially have a risk of being blacklisted etc. I then emailed them a copy of my passport and then within around 24 hours I was contacted again by email to inform me that my payment had been processed.
I honestly cannot fault the company. The price they offered me for my phone was £696 and that is exactly what they paid me. They were true to their word and did not try to renegotiate as a lot of people have been complaining about.
I think there seems to be some confusion as well over Handtec and Sellphone24 - the website which you are redirected to when comparing prices through mobile phone comparison sites.
Both Handtec and Sellphone24 are the same company, however, the “Handtec” website deals with the buying of phones, whereas, “Sellphone24” is strictly the sales side of things.
So this is my experience of selling with Handtec. I hope that this can be helpful to some people who may be put off by the barrage of negative reviews left for the company.
If your phone is genuinely in “good” condition then you shouldn’t really have a problem in receiving the amount that you have been offered.

I recently sold my phone to Handtec via sell phone 24, like many of you, I read the trust pilot reviews (for buying), thinking I am working with a reputable company...
The process was easy until I receive an email saying I haven’t sent the phone in the condition I described????
Lucky for me I videoed the phone and it’s packing process, prior to that I took a picture of the IMEI number so I can identify my phone...
The reason for wanting to downgrade the price by £75 was for..
1. The battery will need replacing (although the iPhone X is 30 months old with a charging capacity of 91% when sold)
2. Cracked camera lens? ( only took a photograph from the camera, two hours before packaging ( thank god for Apple and iCloud photos who can validate the photos showing no sign of cracks)
3. Deep scratches on the screen?? ( as I said my video recording shows no cracks or scratches)
I am now waiting for a response to my order HO_167384...
Please note everyone you have options...
1. Trading standards
2. Small claims court ( easy online process)
2. Go to site at Peterborough and make yourself know (in a peaceful way)
3. Find me (LinkedIn)... I am a Director of a media company with the initial PM (A google project) based in Peterborough, there is another local press /media company called the Peterborough telegraph ( once a director for) they and I would be willing to run your stories / experience, it would cost the Handtec more than the £200 they are trying to cheat me out of in lost revenue from local sells and poor Google my business reviews (I haven’t used any names inline with the T&C of trust pilot)
4. Contact the Channel Manager for Handtec how is the Executive Director for Phone Doctor (I haven’t used any names inline with the T&C of trust pilot)
5. Contact Operations Manager how was once a manger at McDonald’s. (I haven’t used any names inline with the T&C of trust pilot)
You don’t have to lay down and accept in the worry you will be sent back a damaged handset.
SELLPHONE24 and HANDTEC Linked
Thought I was selling phones to Handtec who have reasonable reviews, turns out is was Sellphone24. Reduced offer prices substantially on each of two phones. My view is that they were trying to cheat me. I accepted one of the offers and when they emailed the paperwork is showed that it was in "good condition"....Seems to confirm that they are cheating. STAY AWAY FROM HANDTEC AND SELLPHONE24

Straight forward and full amount paid
I only read the reviews after I sent my phone off. I was a little worried I wasn’t going to get the full £326.10 quoted. Sent my phone off on Friday and by the following Thursday SELLHANDTECH had deposited the full amount into my account. Really good company for me to deal with and great communication.
Thank you

Quoted me £333 and after having to chase them up 2 days after they received the phone they got back to me and said its broken and wont go passed the apple logo screen. Can only offer me £15! Got the phone back and its broken! I dont know what they did to it as its been perfect the whole time i had it! gutted
What a horrible experience with a bent outfit like sellphone 24 and sell handtech...
I really wish I’d done my homework on this outfit!! I was offered £170 by sell handtech but was then receiving emails from sellphone24 who then knocked £40 off the offer for alleged scratches on the face and camera. my phone was in perfect condition and this was a simple ploy to devalue the item to make money on the resale. I feel conned and let down by a corrupt group of companies. I’m far from happy and am absolutely fuming with myself for not checking the reviews more thoroughly.

I would rate zero stars if I had the option!
Exactly the same as all of the other reviews, I sent them my perfectly working and excellent condition iPhone 7 - my error for not checking the customer reviews beforehand - to receive an email from them being told my phone is "beyond repair, no other details, just "beyond repair". They retracted the original £110.45 offer and offered me £20!!! I immediately called their landline number and they bare face lied about damage that was not there. I requested that my phone was returned to me immediately - I then received an email to confirm the return and that I should receive my device back within 2-3 working days. I just hope my phone is in the exact same condition as when I sent it to them, otherwise I will be contacting Trading Standards.
This company may offer the highest price on comparison sites, but DO NOT USE THEM - COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!
If i could give 0 I would!!
If i could give 0 I would!!! Send my Huawei p20 pro to this company in perfect condition offered £100. They contacted me when it arrived finding 'problems' that weren't there when i sent the phone! It had always had a glass protector on the front and back also a case but apparently they found scratches and chips and offered £40!!!! I then asked them to send back and they said i have to pay an admin charge of £30 to have the phone returned!!!! Absolute con!!! DO NOT send your phone here!!
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs
Absolute con artists , try to pay you less than half the value, for made up damage ,then ignore your emails ! Return requested
