Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs!

Nokia used to be reputable but clearly HMD is a scam.

Firstly, buying a phone from a UK website, you expect it to be coming from UK. It doesn't.

No expected date.

Delay on email confirmation.

Most awfully, the camera was DIABOLICAL . To the point, I wondered if it was a fake Nokia.

Sent back. You have to print your own label - which cost me £27 due to needing ink (don't use printer for anything).

Returned to them four days ago. Paid on klarna, so need refund to be actioned. Emailed twice and had no reply.

This company is a sham. Avoid at all costs.

Reference: GBP92073

UPDATE: Upgraded to 2 stars as refund was processed by day seven of it being returned to them. But would never choose to deal with this company again. Not a good experience - and £30 out of pocket for postage and packaging. Boo.

Nokia 108 - unsuitable to make calls

Purchased a simple Nokia 108 for an older person thinking Nokia was still a guarantee for quality, as all other basic phones are of very poor quality. But the phone has such a bad speaker that it is just about impossible to hear the other person on the phone, even for me. An older person simply hears nothing on this phone.

When someone calls me I cannot recognise the voice of that person, and I can only hear what they say in a quiet interior place. Out on the street it is impossible to have a conversation as the call volume is so low it requires absolute silence and concentration.

This model is only good for scrap, why is it still being sold? How can they bring on the market a phone that can't be used for its basic purpose? And why are there zero quality phones for the elderly?

Phone broke within warranty

Phone broke within warranty. Sent off to get repaired. Came back still broken and Nokia have been looking into why for 2 months with no response. Buy a Nokia and it will break and they are terrible at fixing it. Get another brand with support or aftermarket support.

The Best Nokia Yet

The best Nokia phone I've ever had! The X30 8gb 250gb is an amazing version - you simply do not need SD storage on board. The 50mb camera is excellent without overprocessing the images. The display (Gorilla Glass Victus and waterproof) is superb and the simpler Android setup (compared to my Galaxy A53 which is good) works really well. Fast charging is brilliant - all with a three year warranty!

Worse that you could ever imagine.

Phone died after 14 months.
It's been in for repair for 9 weeks now with no updates at all and it is impossible to get any sort of update from the live chat or support email address. At this point I have given up on ever seeing the phone again and will now pursue my credit card company for a refund.

Faulty phones

The company needs to give people a chance to reply to the first question asked and not fire more questions at customers and taking the answer to the first question as the answer to all questions asked.i purchased two Nokia G42 phones and both have the same problems to say that I am annoyed with hmd is just the tip of the iceberg. I would suggest to anybody to think twice about purchasing a mobile phone from this company.

Disappointed

Remember when Nokia was the mobile phone brand leader ? Yep, of course you do. Well unfortunately that's a distant memory. My C3 could be the best phone ever... BUT the screen randomly freezes ! Sometimes 3 or 4 times a day, which is a pain in the a... Sometimes every press of a key it freezes !! It's driving me insane. Yep, I've chatted with Nokia. They say it's a known fault with the model. Even with a factory reset, it hasn't fixed problem. It's still under warranty but nowhere to send it in Australia. Anyway, I could keep raving. But it won't solve this models problem.

I bought a simple calls and text only…

I bought a simple calls and text only Nokia 105 4G and couldn't be more happy it works perfectly and was bought because my wife's 3G phone was being switched off on the EE network as all 2 & 3G networks for them will be off by march 23, it gets calls clearly using the VoLTE system and texts are fine as they should be, one very small clarification was quickly handled by the support advisor on their chat system

No updates, disastrous customer service

I have bought Nokia G22. I advise against it!

There is still no update to Android 13.

After one month (in reality two weeks of use) my phone died. The service was long and they have constantly lied to me about the status. I waited for two months!

Nokia G22

So we are nearly at the end of 2023 and still no android 13 update for the Nokia g22, Nokia support are useless, the phone has numerous bugs and is incredibly sluggish , Microsoft should never have sold Nokia to HMD global.

I wish I hadn't bought a Nokia G60

I bought a Nokia G60 5G, and was impressed, to begin with...
1st System update and the phone crashed and needed a complete system reset and full update, I was on holiday camping at the time and it cost me a day as I needed the booking information on my phone, a few months later 2nd system update and the phone locked up again, this time I couldn't even system reset it and needed Nokia to fix the issue. Due to incompetent customer service, they were trying to collect the phone from a different address than was organised, it took months to get it sorted away for repair and finally returned,
allas when I finally got it back it was damaged, now Nokia is blanking me and will not deal with this issue!
I loved my Nokia's back in the day, but their customer service and aftercare is now atrocious and phone quality is suspect. I will not be getting another Nokia and would suggest you Buy elsewhere!!
