Don’t use them ever maids vale branch
It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had with an estate agent in the maid of Ali branch. My contact was the rudest ever never returned my calls. I had to keep phoning her all the time. I still gave them the commission even though they kept saying lower the price they took a year to sell my property in which time I had to pay for council tax and Service charges and had to keep the property empty.

Despite an initially great experience finding a property with the Balham branch, when it came
to organising a tenancy renewal, Marsh & Parsons were absolutely horrendous. It took 5 months for them to sort out the renewal, leaving us paying over £3000 in rent for a property that we didn’t actually have an agreement in place for. We had to chase them multiple times a week for many months, each time we did so there seemed to be another piece of secret paperwork they had discovered we needed from the landlord, and they made no attempts to get information from the landlord directly, leaving us as the tenants to act as the middle man between M&P and the landlord, chasing documentation on both sides, despite M&P happily taking the fee. It’s clear that once the initial sale has been made, their care for the customer completely disappears.

Excellent Service
I have been with the company Marsh&Parsons as a landlord since 2023 and it has been a great experience throughout.
Specifically the staff members are helpful and accommodating the needs and requirements in the best possible manner.
Recently I have had a great experience with Mehmat Baran regarding the license service which went very smoothly he was quite efficient in dealing the whole process efficiently.

My experience with Marsh & Parsons has been a real learning curve, but ultimately a very positive one. The team especially Rasim and Baran were professional, patient, and thorough in guiding me through the new property licensing process.
There were a few bumps along the way (as there always are with UK admin!), but communication was consistent, and every issue was eventually resolved. I appreciate their effort and persistence in helping me get everything completed correctly.

Absolutely diabolical!
In an ever worsening situation, the agency called contractors out for the fourth time, to once again confirm that there was infact an issue with our water supply. The contractors, of course, confirmed this again.
They have refused to share contractor reports, said contractors said the water issue was a 'matter or preference' when the contractors deny ever saying such a thing, and then have refused to provide evidence of this claim. The director has now invited herself round to the property to 'take a look'! Can you believe it? I am under no impression that she is a plumber, but shes going over anyway! They ignore you, leave at 4pm on a Friday so cannot action your requests, and are just generally useless, crooked and downright liars. They take all their tenants and landlords for total fools. Whatever they respond to this comment is a load of hot air- I cannot state enough to ignore these fake 5 star reviews and steer clear. I honestly shudder every time I see their name.
Avoid if you value your sanity
Whether those responsible for property management at this company are comically incompetent or inhumanly cruel is anybody's guess. They have absolutely no regard for their contractual responsibilities, their tenants' safety, nor the state of their clients' properties. If you're a landlord who values their property stay well clear. If you're a prospective tenant who enjoys basic amenities such as running water and working electricity, avoid Mars and Parson's like the plague.

My contact point for 3 years has been Mr Abdullah Leghari who has always assisted in dealing with all manner of issues - replacing carpets at short notice , getting electrical and plumbing works done speedily etc

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless, avoid at all costs. They view access to hot water as a choice as opposed to a necessity, and expect rent to be paid in full while this is happening, in direct opposition to their duties as landlords.

The 1* reviews are totally correct - we have never dealt with a more unprofessional, submissive, and unresponsive agency like M&P, and in particular someone with the initials VR who works at the Brixton branch (M&P are bizarrely not allowing me to use her first name!?) She will go days without responding and is downright rude. We have moved to Foxtons, and the level of care, communication and positive energy has been unmatched! Only wish we had swapped sooner. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Update: no one has been in touch even though the response below says they have - continuous lies!

Do not ever rent from Marsh and Parsons…
DO NOT RENT FROM MARSH AND PARSONS. Pick any other real estate company. Especially avoid the pimlico location. Marsh and Parsons has no customer service. They don’t value the tenants or ever try to help them. They are unresponsive. And when they do respond they are pushy, manipulative, forcing tenants to sign contracts without allowing them time to review them. Refusing to show clean decent apartments and forcing people to accept apartments they don’t want simply because the apartment hasn’t rented so they need to maintain a good reputation with the landlord. The prioritize the rentals that are on the market without renting for awhile despite that those are on the market because they have issues. No one wants to rent them. They talk behind the tenants back and send destructive emails.

Avoid the Clapham/Hammersmith Office!!
I can only think that the positive reviews in here are in relation to other offices and the letting service only, because the managed service of the Clapham office is the worst department and worst company I have ever dealt with. Simple repairs took many months to resolve, and most were never resolved. A number of repairs took over nine months to resolve for absolutely no reason, and then when they were eventually repaired, they were not done properly and I was then told I needed to pay again to have them repaired yet again. The costs have been eye watering. Unfortunately though, once you have signed on for the service, you are stuck in a contract for the duration of the tenancy. To make things worse, the agents won’t give you details of their dealings with the contractors so that you can resolve it yourself - saying these communications are confidential. Yet they also say they aren't responsible for their failure to fix things, or to do it properly as they are just the agent.
They have caused huge issues for me as a landlord, and when I queried why things were going wrong with the tenant/tenancy, and what needed to be done to rectify things, they continually reassured me that they were doing things right and not to worry - that the issues caused were down to the tenant being unreasonable, not anything on their or my part. Then when things inevitably went wrong, they stood back and left me open to a legal claim and said well it’s not their problem because at the end of the day, legally, the buck stops with me as a landlord. They then refused to provide me with information on what they had done and when, in order to enable me to know an appropriate course of action and what steps I should take, saying it was confidential. They also wouldn’t offer me any advice as my agent, just saying I now needed to get legal advice on my own as the landlord it was my responsibility. This is despite them acting entirely as my proxy for the duration of the tenancy.
I have managed my own property myself for over a decade without a single issue, and have a great relationship with all of my former tenants. I am now managing it again myself with no issues.
I never written a review in my life, but for any landlords in the Clapham area considering using this company, I can only advise you in the strongest sense to use someone else. There are a number of other agents in the Clapham area, and I can genuinely say the stress this agency has caused, and continues to caus months after the end of their managed service, coupled with the fees they charge for what should be a professional service, have caused such extreme stress for me over the year I have been contracted to a managed service with them.
Avoid Marsh and Parsons like the plague. They are unprofessional, dishonest and exceptionally rude. They really do not value their clients and will prioritise money and covering up their own mistakes at the expense of putting their hands up, admitting what they have done wrong, and doing the right thing. I can guarantee that my former tenant would say the same, and I know he is taking legal action against them separately. You have been warned.
