Very hard to communicate with Little…

Very hard to communicate with Little Black Dress when you have a problem. They are great at communicating when you are buying but not when you are returning a product. They ignore your emails. There is no phone number to contact then. You can only communicate via email. Customer service is not great. I have been emailing them for the past four weeks and I’ve only had one response that doesn’t help me or explain when I will be refunded.

Not happy with order

My dress hasn’t arrived in 10 days, eventually I had to contact company about missing dress, and they told me there is delay as they have no colour and no size offering me smaller size haha would better they offer me different dress because I don’t think I loose weigh in few days. I have an event coming tmr and no outfit so I’m extremely disappointed with this company, and won’t recommend to anyone!

Please check your emails for our replies - maybe they are going to your spam folder? Your item is on delay and we have been trying to reach you to explain this. We will instead cancel your order as you have not replied to our emails. For those reading this review, please be reassured we sometimes do experience delays from our suppliers, customers often do not whitelist their emails and security settings can cause emails to go to their spam in error. I refunded a dress on the 1st of July…

I refunded a dress on the 1st of July and still no reply from customer services. I’ve emailed to chase this and still no reply! I may have to contact my back if I don’t hear back from them. Appalling service from a reputable company. Please don’t buy from here.

Do not do business with this company!

I’m shocked and feel cheated to read the last review from Helen, I’m also experiencing the same appalling behaviour from this company.

I bought two dresses at a total cost of £447.99. Neither fitted so I returned them in accordance with the company’s 14 day return policy, on 31 May. I tracked the parcel and saw that it had been received and waited for my refund.

The company puts on its website that refunds take up to 20 days, but if you haven’t received your money after that time you must email them. I emailed them after 21 days, attached the requested proof of postage, and got an automated reply. It is now 32 days and I still haven’t received my refund.

This is clearly a disreputable company and I wish I’d never attempted to do business with them. You’ve been warned.

Poor customer service

I do not usually write reviews however I feel so disappointed with the lack of communication from customer services, customers need to be made aware. I ordered two dresses on 8/5/25, two different sizes, one out of stock however £170 for both was deducted from my bank account.
The one delivered dress was returned to the company, tracked, on 14/5/25 kindly requesting a total refund for both.This has not happened, to date, despite several emails to the company including a formal complaint.
My bank has now become involved to investigate and temporarily refunded the amount whilst their investigation continues. Very disappointed.

I bought a dress for an event I was…

I bought a dress for an event I was going to. Tried the dress on when it arrived and all was fine. It was slightly low cut but thought I would put a small stitch in the front to stop the ladies being too on show. I was staying at a hotel the night of the event and decided to get ready there. When I put the dress on for the evening the zip broke at the bottom. As I was nowhere near my house I had no choice other than to wear the dress and safety pin the back. This was very embarrassing at a black tie event but there was nothing I could do. After the event I sent the dress back and told them what had happened. However, they have refused a refund as the dress has some marks on it (due to being worn for the night) which are absolutely nothing to do with the fault. I would have had it cleaned before I sent it back for the faulty test had I known that was going to be an issue but I didn’t want them to say the fault had happened during cleaning! I will NEVER buy from this company again. Terrible customer service and attitude towards their customers and at £85 for a dress I expect better.

Ordered a dress for my wife express…

Ordered a dress for my wife express delivery. After 3 days still not shipped and a few emails sent to enquire why it has not been sent no one bothers to reply to emails
Dreadful service, as cannot cancel now as dress will arrive to late. Dread to think how they handle refunds
Your reply of 2 days late is in accurate as someone called Harry said that they were expecting further dresses but not till next week. Sometimes honesty is better than making excuses

I would have given NO STAR if I could

I would have given NO STAR if I could.
Bought two dresses. The quality was awful and nothing like on the website. I have sent the items back within hours of receiving them with return label provided by Littleblackdress! items were returned in original packaging with all original labels!! Littleblackdress written to say that one dress was returned without a security ribbon!! it was completely untrue and I refused to accept the return. When I disputed their dishonesty they say the dress was damaged with of course was complete lie. I do hope that they will not be able to continue to trade much longer. I have written and raise complaint with my bank and to fair trading.

Top notch clothes and excellent customer service

Bought from this company before, if I'm going anywhere this is now my go to, such great choice, top notch clothes and absolutely excellent service. Wanted an outfit for my trip to see Wicked at the theatre with friends, bought a beautiful green sequin shirt ( I already have the gold one) so versatile, dress up, dress down,it's perfect, arrived quickly and I'm thrilled with it. I can't recommend LBD highly enough

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service!

I have the email from Royal mail that LBD received my return on 08.11.2024, a dress that said XS and it was actually more like an M size. I sent it back immediately. Today 04.12.2024 no one is answering my emails, I have received no refund. I am being completely ignored.
They said I need to wait 14 working days, I did! It has been 19 days and no one is answering! How can someone be so unprofessional and greedy? Why would people buy from this site if you’re not trustworthy?
Never ever buying again from this site!
I do not recommend it to anyone!

After several emails, messages on your site and after I posted this review you answered to me. Very nice, thank you, I am glad I count as well.

Everything else I have said I can prove through screenshots. I have every email, when I sent and when I received. My feedback is based on exactly what happened, on facts. I have no reason to write a bad review if my first experience and last with this site would have not been so awful.

Update: received my refund after exactly 1 month. Please do not contact me ever again telling me that my feedback is unfair! I exposed the facts. If you don’t want people to give feedbacks of complaint I would suggest to work on your customer service. Blaming the customer is not the right attitude in my humble opinion. And I will not take off my review, I am not letting myself intimidated by your email for telling the truth.

I’ve purchased from The Little Black…

I’ve purchased from The Little Black Dress a few times now, and each experience has been fantastic! The dresses are always high quality, and they arrive exactly as described online. Do not buy from this company unless you are sure of your size etc.
Returned my dress over 3 weeks ago my royal mail tracker says they received on the 4th November I have emailed 3 times and no response cant under stand why this takes so long to send money back unless they try to ignore the fact they have received the goods and hope it will get forgotten.

Watercolour dress

I ordered the dress in size 12 initially which was a little tight on the bust, so i ordered a 14 and 16, the 14 fit perfectly! I typically wear between a 12 and 14. The quality exceeded my expectations — the fabric and craftsmanship are unreal. To top it off, the customer service from Mark was fantastic, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend and I will definitely be buying from little black dress again.

Excellent customer service and beautiful dresses! LBD were so helpful in getting the right dress to me on time for a big event. Good communication and arrived really quickly. Sizing came up quite small on me (if you are considering between sizes). Lovely selection of colours and styles. Thank you so much LBD, I will be back again soon!

Gutted to write this as I really like…

Gutted to write this as I really like the dresses but won’t use again. I returned a dress 28.08.2024 which I can see was received 29.08.2024. I have queried with the relevant email to ask when I will receive my refund and received no response. I have tried again and received an email back saying ‘550: Sorry, we do not accept connections from you’. I am hoping this is because I am out of the country and not because I am blocked. I won’t give up trying as £80 isn’t a small amount to lose.

Do not buy at all
My husband bought 10 dress for our summer holiday and paid for the express delivery they took 3 weeks to arrive in total with the express delivery half of them were still to follow and we were not told half arrived damaged but he actually had a hole in it to which little black dress never replied to and the others had snags in them. The quality was poor on most dresses and how one size fits all is beyond me. I’m a size 12 and they drowned me the pictures have obviously been edited and altered to fit the models who are clearly size 8.
Returned some of the dresses and have waited over 3 weeks for a refund still waiting for some of the money back. Absolutely awful customer services and poor quality goods
