Ordered furnitures for 2 flats from Dunelm - got email that delivery will take place on 5.7.24. Waited all day and then got a text in the evening that delivery will not take place and it will be re arranged. What utter nonsense. Will avoid Dunelm in the future. Items purchased and delivered by John Lewis came without fuss and they even took away the packaging for me. To date I have not been told when re delivery will take place. Will have to call and then waste another day for delivery.

HDN were great
HDN recently delivered my Dunelm order. I was quite worried given the bad reviews. All I can say is they were great. I was given a time slot the night before and then they rang an hour before delivery. They arrived on time and were very pleasant. Order was in perfect condition.

Our delivery of garden furniture was set for yesterday. We were supposed to be notified of a time slot in the morning. We got nothing! And our delivery never arrived. Tracking is still showing in warehouse. Whats going on hdn?

What can I say, absolutely rubbish service, delivery doesn't come when they say it will, they don't call as arranged, and so on and so on. Must be Yodel in disguise. I would recommend Royal Mail, no problems with them.
Terrible service!
This company is useless. They called at our home early one morning, a chap knocked on our UPVC door instead of ringing the door bell so we didn't hear it and missed the delivery. Even our Dog didn't hear him call, that's how timidly he knocked on our door.
They re-arranged delivery for 7 days later even phoning us to confirm it then didn't bother to turn up. They are a waste of space!
Just cant get any worse!
Claim that an address is invalid. They don't call the addressee when they have the phone number to help find the house. Customer Service is unavailable on their Chat service for over 4 hours! Amazon think twice before you send stuff via them... use the Royal Mail!
Woeful - parcels always late, often damaged
Well the sheer quantum of woeful reviews on this site should tell you something. This company is truly woeful. How hard can it be, in 2016, to have an effective IT system, to do things like text a customer to confirm a delivery window, to allow effective tracking (rather than at best, questionable data), to have a workforce who don't trash your items and actually bother to attempt to deliver (the number of times there is someone at the property and yet a delivery is claimed - despite no calling card...) - basically, do any of the things one might design a delivery service, if you were thinking about how to run one.
I use all kinds of delivery services. These are the only ones I have trouble with. Woeful. Multiple no shows. Multiple times where they claim a delivery attempt (despite there being 24/7 concierge in my building) and no calling cards. Multiple times where item has arrived with significant damage. Woefully slow. No emails/texts/anything to give you any idea of a delivery date, time window. Customer service - completely un-contactable.
The directors of this business should be ashamed. It is a woeful company.
Failed delivery, now a default on my credit file
I ordered a phone from Studio catalogue in Dec 2010, HDNL claim the phone was delivered to a neighbours house when I didn't give such instructions to them to do so.
I visited the neighbours house about 3x to ask for the parcel, neighbour claimed nothing was delivered to him and even warned me never to return to his door for such silly reason. I reported to Studio, they said I should sort it out with delivery company because it has been dispatched from them.
After 2 weeks, we were unable to locate the parcel, I told HDNL I do not need the phone again, they should return it to Studio as I was travelling abroad to study, so I move out of the property and country 2nd week of January 2011.
May 2016, I applied for a mortgage and was refused due to a default on my credit file by a debt recovery agency on behalf of Studio catalogue.
It is so painful that I have to pay for their incompetence this way 5 years after. This is the worst delivery company in the UK.
Am trying to seek a legal advice about this at the moment and I wish I can get them pay for this. I still have all emails I exchange with them that year

Garden furniture was ordered from Amazon 6 days ago.
We waited in today for delivery. At 5.30 after contacting Amazon we were told that they could not deliver a distance of 45 miles from the depot holding the furniture for a further 7 days!
13 day UK delivery, no thanks.

Watched the delivery driver pull up in front of my house, get out of his van, mess around in the back of the van for 7 minutes and then get back in his van and drive away. According to the company they couldn't access my property as it is part of a gated community - in a town with 0 gated communities.
Is a prerequisite that you have to be an absolutely incompetent moron to get a job with this company?

HDNL do my nut in. Whenever I order something and I see that HDNL tracking number I just get that sinking feeling and know it'll not turn up.
Next time I take a day off work for my 'Guaranteed next day delivery' and HDNL don't turn up. I will look for them. I will find them. And I will kill them. (please don't arrest me, I am only half joking)
Incompetent delivery service
As many reviews here, I ordered from Amazon UK using prime, and my item was dispatched promtly on the same evening by Amazon. The item was handed over to this company which lost it and provided 0 communication about the issue either to me or let alone Amazon for a whole week, with whom I was communicating with regarding the issue. Obviously Amazon need to stop using a company with this kind of track record.

How can they damage an oak bed frame so badly it can't be delivered !! Actually watching the TV programme about Yodel you can see why! Avoid, Amazon please!

Like everyone else. Complete liars!! Said they attempted delivery and left a card. They didnt. I even left a note on the gate saying call this number as i live in a gated community. But their drivers have no phones apparently and their office has no way of contacting them to pass on any instructions.
If you really really hate someone, then use this company to send them a parcel.
Ruined a child's Christmas
Arranged to have a parcel redelivered on Saturday AM as promised. Had a call from a lady telling me this was not happening and could Now only deliver next week (Xmas week) that would be OK apart from I go away on Sunday. These clowns have effectively ruined my sons Xmas. I will never use these idiots or Amazon if they continue to use the services of these liers. I hope your proud
