Maple was very helpful

I recently received a renewal quote that wasn’t favourable, so I contacted the company via Live Chat. One of the staff members, Maple, took up my case.

Before Maple stepped in, I had an open case for a long time without any updates. However, Maple was able to resolve not only my renewal concerns but also the refund case I had raised earlier.

She kept me updated at every stage, was very professional, and ensured that the issues were fully resolved, including processing my refund.

Maple’s excellent support and dedication are the main reasons I will recommend this company and their services.

Bad management of my property as a landlord

I entrusted Goodchilds with a brand-new property to manage. After two years, I noticed they were not properly maintaining the property. I instructed them to evict the tenant, and that's when the problems began.

The tenant had caused significant damage, including burning the cooker hood in a fire, cracking the glass on my French door, and breaking the cooker knob, which led to a gas leak. Repairs cost me over £350, and the total damage exceeds £1,000.

Despite charging 14% of my monthly rent, the agency has been completely unhelpful and refuses to take responsibility for the damages, they are asking me to sue the tenant who they provided for me instead. I would not recommend their services – I could manage my property far better on my own.

Avoid TestKing, It is a scam

Avoid them at all cost. I paid $99 for an exam question. I got only 65 questions for a 60 question exam.

Some of the answers were wrong as well.

They will never refund you too. Avoid them

Hive fraud- cant find money they removed by direct debit from my account

Hive set a direct debit on my account, money was taken for 5 months, they claim they can't find the money and they are not responsible for the collection, they requested for my bank statement, i provided it, for 2 whole months, I kept calling, they promise to call back, they never did.

I got angry Fri 26/07, called to find out my final balance to do a one time payment so i wont have to worry about direct debit that they set up on my account and can't trace where such deducted money has been going into.

I made a final payment and the following day, another £82.90 was removed from my account. I have called and spoken to at least 3 CS adviser, spending at least 30 minutes with each of them, they still claim they cant find the money they removed by direct debit on my account and that was why the £82.90 was removed again after the final payment of £97.82.

This company is a fraud, Their customer service call centre staff are useless. Avoid them if you can, don't be tricked into thinking it is British gas standard, it is not.

Bad customer service until I wrote this review

I bought the alarm system, 12 months into my 18 months contract, I moved home. I informed ADT 1 month before my move and they agree to transfer the contract to the new home.

They gave 2 appointments, the engineer failed to show up, they were unable to agree another installation date with me. I rang and spoke with more than 10 people over almost 2 hours call.

I asked for a cancellation since they are not providing me any services again, they refuse to cancel the contract without me paying for the rest of the contract even though they fail to come and install the alarm system in my new address.


***update***

I have been contacted by ADT and they have agreed to cancel my contract without any charge due to my dissatisfaction to their service, I am waiting for a confirmation to that effect.

Thank you to the staff(I don't know if I am allowed to write names here) of ADT who took charge of this case.

Good Service for a good value

I had a fantastic service from my local expert. The whole process was done and managed online and on mobile app, I was able to do my viewings myself and saved a lot of money. My house was sold within 9 days in market.

Stay off this company

Stay off this company. I bought a home policy online and paid in full a sum of £180.74, it took 3 days before I got an email an acknowledging my payment.

When I saw the policy document, the excess I selected online was £0 what I got on the document was different, so I call to cancel it immediately at least 10 days before the policy starts.

They promised a refund since 19th of March and up until today, they haven't refunded me my money. I have called at least 3 times to request this refund, they keep giving me 3 to 4 working days to refund the card I paid with.

1 month is almost gone and I haven't gotten my money back from them.

Please stay away for your good


Update- Someone from the company called and ensured my money was paid back within 3 days. I also got a cheque in post from the company as a goodwill gift... issue is resolved.

Failed delivery, now a default on my credit file

I ordered a phone from Studio catalogue in Dec 2010, HDNL claim the phone was delivered to a neighbours house when I didn't give such instructions to them to do so.

I visited the neighbours house about 3x to ask for the parcel, neighbour claimed nothing was delivered to him and even warned me never to return to his door for such silly reason. I reported to Studio, they said I should sort it out with delivery company because it has been dispatched from them.

After 2 weeks, we were unable to locate the parcel, I told HDNL I do not need the phone again, they should return it to Studio as I was travelling abroad to study, so I move out of the property and country 2nd week of January 2011.

May 2016, I applied for a mortgage and was refused due to a default on my credit file by a debt recovery agency on behalf of Studio catalogue.

It is so painful that I have to pay for their incompetence this way 5 years after. This is the worst delivery company in the UK.

Am trying to seek a legal advice about this at the moment and I wish I can get them pay for this. I still have all emails I exchange with them that year

Online chat for breakdown upgrade

I bought the policy without detailed information of the basic breakdown cover, i needed to upgrade so I used the online chat engine on their website. I had a chat with NR3 who was very helpful to provide good information and support required in choosing the right breakdown cover and payment details.

I find their online chat tool as a good way of contacting One call insurance if you cannot call
