Buying and delivery was easy but after…

Buying and delivery was easy but after sales is simply poor. For someone spending on 3 sofas and requesting for replacement damaged feet over 2 weeks from delivery is simply bad customer service in my view.

Delivery issues

Purchased various items from Dunelm and delivery set for 5.7.2024. Waited all day only to be told that delivery has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. No info from Dunelm as at 8.7.24 . Not sure I would order online from them again.

Terrible …

Ordered furnitures for 2 flats from Dunelm - got email that delivery will take place on 5.7.24. Waited all day and then got a text in the evening that delivery will not take place and it will be re arranged. What utter nonsense. Will avoid Dunelm in the future. Items purchased and delivered by John Lewis came without fuss and they even took away the packaging for me. To date I have not been told when re delivery will take place. Will have to call and then waste another day for delivery.

Run… this is a terrible company

Run… this is a terrible company. Bought an item and cancelled straight away after reading this reviews ( wish I did read before purchasing) getting my refund is a nightmare . Will be issuing a small claims online tomorrow morning against them and will wait for them to attend court and explain why my refund has not been processed. Terrible company - avoid!

Great customer service

I purchased 4 slat fence panels which upon delivery was not exactly what I wanted. I made contact with them for the items to be collected and their customer service was excellent from start to finish, Nikki who i dealt with was very courteous and professional and arranged for the slat fence panels to be collected. I will certainly have no hesitation in purchasing from this company again.

I needed a short projection toilet and vanity unit, ordered with them and selected express delivery as I had builders on site. The items were delivered on time, was as described and really i had a good experience and will shop with Royal Bathroom again.

Buying online from unknown companies…

Buying online from unknown companies usually comes with a high sense of trepidation especially when spending a lot of money. That was my feeling when I purchased blinds from this company. I needn’t have worried, blinds are well made and customer service excellent when I made contact to sort out blind that was not delivered and one that came damaged. Only issue I had was their delivery chaps who apparently could not read house numbers and ended up dumping 8 heavy blinds at my neighbours over 8 houses away! Had to lug them 1 by 1! Overall I recommend this company.

Totally inept customer service-…

Totally inept customer service- purchased a tv from their website and on receipt, i discovered that it was damaged and contacted them for a replacement. Samsung sent their courier, Panthers to collect the tv on 12.7.2021 and from the tracking details provided by Panthers, I could see the tv was received by Samsung on 15.7.2021. I waited patiently for a replacement which they say will arrive within 10 days of receipt of the tv. After 10 days, i contacted them and was informed that the tv had not been received! Even though their own courier tracking said that it was received on 15.7.2021. After several chasers to them, I was told on 9.8.2021 that the tv that they received was not the one sent to me. First they did not receive the tv and then now it was not what was sent by them! Anyway i have issued a claim against Samsung as i cant stand their customer service. Please be aware of Samsung customer service, if you must buy their product, do so at a reputable retailer and not from Samsung who i dont think should be selling their product directly as they are simply inept.

Very poor customer service and…

Very poor customer service and appalling litigation department. Had a long running battle to obtain my refund and had to take them to court after several attempts to resolve amicably. Won my court case and now they have a county court judgment against them which could have been easily avoided by refunding my money or explaining when it would be refunded. I think this whole debacle with them is due to lack of proper legal advice as there was no point defending a claim they could never win. Advice to anyone who is waiting for a refund from them, complain and if they don’t refund, take them to Court.

Avoid all online purchases with Geox

Should have read the reviews on Geox returns before getting involved with them. Terrible return experience and have totally put me off buying anything from them. The reviews here on returns are accurate. Received shoes on 28.11.2019, returned using their ups label on 29.12.2019. To date refund not received after 4 calls. Inept return policy. Avoid unless you buy from a third party website or purchase in store. Their online experience left a very sour taste!!

Avoid SCS at all cost.

I frankly do not believe the reviews on here are accurate. My experience with this company has been disastrous. Customer service is seriously lacking. Purchased a sofa (2 and 3 leather sofa) in their Slough branch on 11.5.19, paid cash. Advised that delivery estimated time would be 14 weeks but if it won’t be ready for delivery by then, I would be notified. 14 weeks came and went.. no call from their so called customer service. I chased up on 24.8.19 and was advised that delivery would be on 3.9.19. I got rid of my sofa so that there would be space for the new ones, took annual leave and sat in all day on 3.9.19 and no delivery, no phone call to inform me that it won’t happen and despite the fact they have been paid in full. Frankly appalling service . As at today, no call from SCS apologising and seeking to rearrange another delivery. I no longer want their sofa as purely a dreadful company to deal with. Imagine what their sofa would be like if their customer service is like this. I have requested for my payment to be refunded and if not received timeously, will issue a small claims action. Have ordered a sofa from another reputable company. Avoid SCS at all cost if looking for sofa.

Just to clarify in case there is any confusion following SCS reply to this review, the info requested was provided same day to them and to date have not heard a whimper from them. Anyway called my credit card company and initiated a charge back and received the money paid. Bought a sofa from another company. Good luck to anyone that deals with SCS when it comes to sofas.

My suspicion has been right about this company. Glad Amex proactively charged back the payment made to SCS. The company has appalling customer service and should be avoided at all cost.

Should have read the reviews on here as…

Should have read the reviews on here as it is spot on regarding returns. Purchased an item on their site and received on 13.7.19 and on same day I requested a return only to be informed that returns for underwear are not acceptable. That is untrue according to their return policy on their website which clearly says that returns allowed for unopened underwear. The underwear was not opened and still in it’s box. Steer clear of this cowboys.


Update 15.7.19 (in response to The Hut reply)

Then your return policy is clearly misleading. This is by no means the end of this matter as a small claims will be filed on a point of principle within the next 7 days unless you clarify the paragraph in your returns policy relating to underwear’s and swimsuit. Please take this post as my initial letter before claim.

Despite the misleading reply from The Hut below, they have now agreed (via my The Hut account)that I can return the items .
So for any one thinking of purchasing items on The Hut, read their return policy carefully and ensure you are happy with same. Don’t be put off by any attempt to fob you off.

To The Hut Customer Service- you should have handled this issue much better instead of allowing it to escalate into a public forum.
