These guys charge way too much for a tool that hasn't updated their user experience since the 90s.
Use Dinero, Billy, or just about anything else.
It's incredible how bad it is.
Working with the customer service, it took me the better part of 2.5 hours just to adjust a few elements at the bottom of the invoice template.
It's so counter intuitive. Like someone had never seen how software works before creating wild and bizarre routes to make minor adjustments.
I've used many other accounting solutions and invoice tracking solutions over the years.
It's just so incredibly frustrating to go through this mess of a platform while being charged more.

I can understand that you’ve spent some time together with our support to adjust some elements on your invoice template. I admit that working with design and layout on the templates can be a bit heavy. This is feedback I will pass on, so it hopefully can get better.
It is important to me that you are happy and satisfied with your accounting program. It is always a consideration you should make, which accounting program that best suits your company's needs, and where you see the best match between price and the value you get out of the program.

It sucks! it is not very intuitive, not very agile, complex to use and unprepared if you don't speak Danish
My accountant recommended it to me because it's the one he uses.
For me it is not very intuitive, not very agile, complex to use and unprepared if you don't speak Danish (half of the concepts are not even translated correctly into English version).
But the worst thing is the connection with other programs and the import of information.
For example, I have lost a lot of time because they have not bothered to put a csv data loading template, I had to go "blind" to see what data was necessary and mandatory in the system.
It sucks!
And the integration with international and popular payment systems like Stripe is through a single provider (very expensive! 6000kr and then monthly feed just to integrate the data!!!!). I sell mainly outside the country and this is going to make me lose a lot of time, it's all too manual, it seems from the last century.
There are a lot of much simpler, cheaper programs, but the pity is that they are not adapted to the Danish system.
I really don't understand how being such a digitalised country and being one of the most popular apps here in Denmark, they don't have better integrations with payment gateways, and make it easier and cheaper.
The support is friendly, they are very attentive, but I have literally 4 videos in English only ;-)
I'm a person who is good with technology, but I admit that this app is breaking my patience.

First of all it makes me happy and proud to hear that you have good experiences with our support. Our skilled and dedicated supporters always do their very best to help everyone regardless of the challenges 😊
We work hard to create intuitive features that make our program easy to use for everyone. Therefore, it’s a pity that you don’t find our program to be intuitive or agile.
It is very smart when different systems integrate with each other e.g to transfer data. Here, e-conomic has an open API, which means that everyone has the opportunity to build a bridge to our program. A lot of systems have done that, and that's why there are a lot of integrations to e-conomic. However, it is up to the other system - in this case Stripe - to build the bridge to e-conomic.
I can understand that with a lack of integration options you provide more manual processors, including importing csv files. Here, I hope that you, with the help from my colleague, have received the help you needed in order for you to know what is necessary and mandatory in the data import.
When it comes to language, I understand that you miss the same options in English as there are for our Danish users. This is feedback I will pass on, so hopefully it can get better.
I hope that in time we can get to a place where you’ll be as happy with our program as you are with our supporters. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our support whenever you have questions, feedback or anything else we can help you with - we’ll be happy to help 😊

E-conomic is marketed for use also by…
E-conomic is marketed for use also by us without accounting backgrounds, but make no mistake this is a system made for accountants. It is full of unexplained terms and abbreviations. The UI is similar to accounting systems that I came accross in the 1990's. It does not leverage any IT advantages that are commonplace in modern software solutions.
To name a few shortcomings:
- creating new suppliers - no auto-numbering. You have to keep a list and find the next number in line.
- VAT accounts are shown in code - you have to memorise the 10+ codes or look them up if you can find an explanation.
- No automation what so ever. all processes are manual.
- No context editing. You cant access an object just because you see them. So forget about right clicking to access properties. - Yopu will have to go around and find your item again in the menu structure.
and so on.
If you are not an accountant - Use the simpler systems made with you in mind:
Billy or Dinero (I tried Billy and it has much better UI)

Because yes, for those who don’t know, there are important differences between danish accounting and EU countries’ accounting. Obviously, first of all, the user must understand danish language.
