Beware of this company – potential scam!
They verbally agree to certain terms, but when you receive the written documents, they are completely different. If you call to clarify, they often don’t respond. When you complain, they claim you need to pay more to get the insurance you were originally promised. I strongly advise others to avoid doing business with them.

I have had a very weird & kind of bad experience with Tryg in general, which turned around thanks to Kasper Kejlberg, who diligently helped my case and managed to get to the bottom of it, sorting out the confusion and I want to thank you for that.
Please be very vigilant to what sales people tell you on the phone when they ask you to become a customer, and always double check the contract you are signing with the insurance company.

All employees have different information, some don't even see the open case (the number is visible in the system even to me) They updated the insurance package for my child to premium online without reading the rules, when it was already done they said that I was in quarantine for 2 months. They said the price was 200 kr per month, the actual price is almost 400 kr
I canceled my subscription without even using it because it hasn't even been a month and I still have to pay for it until September.

This is my biggest disappointment as a foreigner living in Denmark with a Danish institution of this size.
Please do not block or delete this sharing with people, so that 'fdm forsikring'do not try to deceive them like I was deceived.
I have all the evidence and correspondence with fdm insurance.
So we wanted to get fdm insurance for our car and that's how we negotiated all the details. But after a few months we saw that not only 'fdm' insurance, but also 'alka', the previous insurance we used, was deducting money from our bank account.
When we called 'alka' insurance to ask why they were deducting money for car insurance, although we are currently using 'fdm' car insurance, 'alka' insurance said that 'fdm' insurance should have informed them about the entry into force of the new insurance with 'fdm' insurance and the termination of the old insurance with 'alka'.
But 'fdm' insurance made a mistake and did not inform 'alka' insurance about the newly concluded contract, as a result of which for several months a large amount of money for two insurances was deducted from my account due to the error made by 'fdm' insurance.
This cost me a lot of time for lawyers and searching for the truth, because when I called 'fdm' insurance, they arrogantly did not agree with their mistake and stated that they had not made any mistake and that the money for their mistake, which was not informing 'alka' insurance, would not be refunded.
Then I contacted lawyers, who sent a request to the 'fdm' company. They completely ignored this request and did not take any action. Most likely, I was dealing with a very dishonest 'fdm' employee who made a personal mistake and wanted to avoid responsibility at the expense of someone else, he hoped that I would not go so far. But I went to the lawyers a second time, they sent a second notice, which the 'fdm' insurance company completely ignored again.
Then I wrote another letter, and most likely ended up in another sector, where finally after three months I received an answer, an apology, an admission of error and also a refund for the fact that the 'fdm' company made a mistake and did not inform the 'alka' insurance about the conclusion of a new contract, which resulted in me paying insurance not only to the 'fdm' company, but also to the 'alka' insurance, which was not informed by the 'fdm' insurance.
All this took away a lot of my strength, energy, caused depression and completely ruined the name of fair, legal and honorable Danish companies.
Therefore, people, be careful with this company 'FDM forsikring' and know that if you conclude a contract with 'FDM' insurance and come from another insurance company to 'FDM', then 'FDM' must notify the other company about such a contract about the conclusion of a new contract, otherwise you may have to pay double the insurance amount to two companies.
And hard experience has shown that some people working at 'fdm', even knowing that they made a mistake, avoided answering phone calls, did not read sent messages and did not respond even to calls from lawyers to correct the mistake. It's just terrible, I was mentally traumatized after the experience I had with the dishonest arrogant employee of 'fdm' insurance, who said that nothing could be done in this situation and wanted to completely cunningly avoid making a personal mistake towards the client.

The insurance customer service is not taking care of their customer at any moment. Their objective is to take your money at end of month and when you need something, it's a nightmare.

I use Tryg as insurance through my trade union, IDA. Supposedly, it's an insurance company that is willing to engage in dialogue when policies are being set up. However, even if you take out extended coverage with all the extras and then suddenly need it, they sing a different tune and refuse to cover you.
The situation is that I bought a house, which turned out to have a basement with a 6 mm crack running 360 degrees around it. The Gjensidige ownership transfer insurance will only cover the crack with a spot repair, which both a mason and a building expert have documented as insufficient.
Therefore, I wanted to use my home insurance for legal assistance. However, their policy states that they only cover cases that have first been attempted to be resolved by the appeals board.
But since the case concerns the previous owner, who shows clear signs of having tried to hide it, the case cannot go before the appeals board. In the meantime, the previous owner also passed away, which leaves 8 weeks to start legal proceedings.
They (Tryg) don't care about this, and the situation has become such that I have to pay the legal costs against the previous owner myself, and now I am also taking legal action against Tryg. So, I am pursuing a case against the previous owner and two insurance companies.
If there are any media outlets out there interested in gaining insight into this, please reach out. I am happy to provide all documentation and correspondence.
I strongly suggest other people to be cautious about using this insurance company, as they apparently wont help when you need it 😅.

I was only pregnant once in the same year and gave birth to only one baby. But Tryg managed to charge my bank account multiple times in the same year for the same pregnancy insurance and continued to invoice me for the same insurance and sent Sergel to invoice me for the same insurance plus extra charges. I have paid a total of about 6000DKK and they have turned dead silence after I called and sent my complaints. I have received no replies on this matter so far.

I was offered a Tryg insurance policy over the phone. The agent on the line actually signed me up for the insurance, without making it clear to me and without me giving over any bank details (I am a member of Danske Bank). I did not sign any document. In fact, the insurance covered things I did not even own (bicycle for example), and I was charged nearly 1000DKK. The customer service has stopped responding to my mails too. Ridiculous service.

Tryg? More like "Trick" you!
I trusted Tryg with my insurance, but they used my lack of Danish fluency to downgrade my coverage, without properly informing me. I’m originally from Brazil and had a worldwide insurance package. Somehow, that got changed to Europe + Turkey. Why would that make sense for me?
Guess what happened? My luggage was delayed for four days abroad. When I contacted Tryg, I was told I wasn't covered anymore. I’ve been paying annually for a policy I can’t even use because someone at Tryg decided to make this sneaky change.
This isn’t just a mistake, it’s a betrayal of trust.

Insurance: pet insurance
My cat got an allergy after one month of buying the insurance and my claim got rejected. Customer service cited non-existing terms and said that all allergy related claims are to be rejected for my case.
