Misleading “Overnight” Shipping – Took Three Days

I placed an order on Wednesday and paid $27 for overnight delivery, expecting it to arrive on Thursday. The package wasn’t picked up by FedEx until Thursday morning and wasn’t delivered until Saturday afternoon.

When I contacted support, I was told that “overnight” only applies after the courier picks up the package — something that is not stated anywhere on the checkout page. While they claim this meets FedEx’s “Standard Overnight” definition, the end result is that I paid for a premium service and got a three-day delivery.

Very disappointing experience — I won’t be ordering from Canadian Protein again.

If I could give 0 stars I would have! Absolute shambles of a company. No names or numbers attached to their emails and now I know why. Long story short… asked to be taken off their subscription after a ridiculous process on waiting for my first package. They refunded me which was fair enough, but never cancelled the sub and charged me $261. Stole money and when asked for it to be refunded to my account are refusing to by saying “I didn’t directly ask for my subscription to be cancelled” even though I did.

Save yourself a major headache… DO NOT BUY from these absolute charlatans!!

They don't care about customers, just moving product.

I have been a customer for about 10 years, but they sent a parcel to you wrong address and their customer service ghosted me when I tried to ask for a refund or another parcel.

*Note* After making a fuss over 2 weeks, they finally gave me a refund after I shared my reviews. 🤦🏻

Predatory practices when purchasing

Predatory practices when purchasing - they will opt you into ongoing subscriptions without explicitly asking you if you want that - then when you go to cancel you're told you have to have a minimum of three deliveries on your subscription in order for them to cancel the subscription - I have bought supplements from them for over 10 years spending probably thousands and now I am being nickeled and dimed for an ongoing subscription I was not aware of. When you contact support they just tell you to refer to the terms and conditions - unthinkable to treat a customer of 10 years like that - even if it was my error the difference in price of the one item is $18.00 - why not charge me that difference and end the subscription as I requested? Nope eat the whole subscription.

Predatory company hiding behind cute brand

This company pulls you in with fancy words and brand but is hiding predatory practices behind it all. They try to get you to accidentally subscribe to their products then they don't allow you to cancel the subscription. The website instructs you to email them but they reply through AI that there's a minimum 3 items purchase through subscription and then BLOCK your email address from being able to reply to the ticket and ignore all new tickets. Their phone number is only found on FB and leads to a voicemail telling you to visit their website. There is no way to cancel online and they hold your payment info hostage. Very disappointing experience, their products were tasty but I refuse to continue to support a company who operates on predatory practices like this.

Their products are usually good and…

Their products are usually good and have good prices. However, their customer service is non existent AND I am very doubtful it's in Canada. I orddered during their BOGO and instead of applying the discount to items of the same value, they applied it to the lower cost items. They will rip you off every chance they get. I placed a $500 order and they are splittng hairs over $25. Will never order from them again.

Maximum value for the discerning

Been sending clients to Canadian Protein for years and they have always delivered. Simply cannot get higher quality for the money. And 5 star customer service if you ever happen to need them. The premium isolates are a highlight but the bulk omegas and greens are staples as well. Don't hesitate

Good quality!

I didn't have the greatest customer service experience, but it was more due to a misunderstanding. When I got the protein powder, it was some of the best and tastiest I've had. Good company and will order again.

I initially ordered a whey protein

I initially ordered a whey protein, thinking it was the premium option, but it turned out to be a lower grade one. When I reached out to customer support, they were incredibly helpful and offered me a free return. Thanks to their excellent service, I decided to place another order for the premium whey protein and their super greens supplement.

On top of that, I had 15K credits that I couldn't redeem, but the support team took care of it for me. Overall, a fantastic experience!

I’m not a first timer (with them) and again order was incomplete. In short: if you cannot (or will not provide) please do not promise. Last time was an entire bag of zinc now the black logo shaker is missing (after you guys push me on a sale of 150+) just for this item.

Did not receive my order last time. Took a chance on a Black Friday sale after a long wait (which is understandable) with that order I did. So its hit or miss.Never received credit back or products ordered from previous time before. Disappointed to say the least. One must consider the losses along with the costs to determine what savings there are or are not & determine your comfort level of risk along with also factoring in wait time for shipment to arrive, or not .

Date of experience: February 27, 2021. UPDATE: May 12 2024 I have written many positive 5 star reviews, now going over old emails I notice my 2 star review was removed. Now i understand why there was no follow up or order received from Canadian Protein, only a comment stating item may have been out of stock. No, I NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER: PERIOD. I'm not going to forget this. Canadian Protein took my money, did not deliver order, when issue brought to attention, review was flagged & removed.

Order not shipped

I put in an order for 8kg protein over two weeks ago.
Super disappointed it hasn’t been even been shipped yet. I was looking forward to trying the vegan protein as it seems to have a really great ingredient list.
I can’t consume beef or dairy and I have been struggling to get my required amount of dietary protein.
I spoke to someone from the company in regard to this 4 days ago hoping to have my issue addressed. Either expedite my package or give me a refund.
It still hasn’t bee addressed by the company, they’ve acknowledged my issue but then have done nothing about my order. They haven’t given me my money back or shipped out my product. Super poor customer service. Not impressed.

The most unsatisfactory customer experience

I placed an order for Grass-Fed New Zealand Whey Protein Isolate - 2 kg (4.4 lb) on Oct 22, 2023. As of the date of this review (Dec 01, 2023), I have neither received the package nor been issued a refund. I contacted their customer service, and they initiated an investigation with Canada Post. However, it has been over a month, and the investigation remains open without resolution. As a customer, I am left waiting for either a refund or the delivery of my package. This has been the most unsatisfactory customer experience I have ever encountered.

Horrible Customer Service

I've been a customer for a long time with no problems, until recently when I had to deal with their customer service. It was one of the most infuriating experiences. One of the products I received was damaged and tasted absolutely disgusting. So, I returned it and asked for a refund.

They to deny my refund, stating that they'd never had any issues with damaged products. And they accused me of lying just because I tasted the protein. This whole ordeal was over a few dollars! Now I'm left without my money and without the protein I bought. I will NEVER buy from them again!

I ordered my protein powder June 29 and…

I ordered my protein powder June 29 and am still waiting for the product to arrive. Email contact with the company tells me it was to finally arrive yesterday, but nothing. Today the product delivery update tells me product is again delayed. I am beyond frustrated.

Almost 40% in 6 months!! .....

I used to love ordering from here and would do so every couple of months! I mean the shakes are amazing tasting and mix well! However their recent price hikes are just insane! I used to order the 2kg (4.4lbs) of Whey isolate for $75.99 (in December) now it is $119.99!! That is an almost 40% increase in 6 months!! I will not be ordering again at these new prices!

Okay product, terrible customer service.

I feel like the overall quality of Canadian Protein has been going down over the years. I've had a couple bags with their resealable mechanism broken upon arrival, changes in flavor within the same products, and now changes in their products and ingredients that go unadvertised even if you have a subscription. Soduim amount going up, scoop size going up, protein remaining the same.

I've also experienced, what I'd call, apathetic responses from the customer service team. Feels more like talking to a robot that does not care about you as a customer, just there to provide answers to another number for the business.

One of the lousiest customer service experiences I've ever had.

Very poor customer services experience.

So far my experience with Canadian Protein has been one of the worst in customer service for a long while. I order a lot online but I don't think I've dealt with any other company this non responsive and completely unconcerned about the problem at hand. I ordered a product from them that I never received, I paid for it to be sent by expedited post and it never arrived, between them and their chosen courier, after rescheduling delivery for three day in a row, the product appears to be in a completely different province from where I requested to be delivered. Their sorry excuse for "customer service" emailed me to say that I may have to wait till the 24th April while they "investigate" I ordered the product on the 22nd March!! I requested a refund and I am still yet to hear back from them nor do I have the product. They may have a good product but the service I've experienced isn't worth it, at all.
