I bought a $350 faucet from them but they sent me the wrong finish. I ordered nickel but they sent me chrome. Return cost was too much so I kept it. But that faucet is horrible, I hate it so much. And they will not allow me to leave a 1 star review.

We experienced delays getting our certificate of occupancy. We did not have anywhere to store the appliances, so we didn't unbox them. The top of the refrigerator was CRUSHED. The door would not even close. They said that it was not reported before the 30 day inspection period and that I was stuck with it. Can't believe that we spent $2700 on a refrigerator that is completely useless, and they will not do anything about it.

Very Disappointing Experience – Beware
I placed two orders and never received any confirmation emails or updates. After a few days, I called to check on the status and was told the items were being shipped. I followed up again today, only to be informed that my order is now delayed by three months. When I asked about canceling and getting a refund, the representative said they weren't sure if that was even possible. This whole situation feels incredibly sketchy and untrustworthy. I would caution others to be very careful before ordering from this company.
Never trust Build.com
On Nov 2, 2024, I placed two orders on Buid.com, Inc (Chico, CA) (a.k.a. “Ferguson Home” and “Build with Ferguson”). The company charged my credit card $1,156.36 and $1,116.42. The first of the ordered items was shipped straight off, as it should have been. The story of the other (order number 90383184) is truly sad. On Jan 3, 2025, I was promised via email that it will be shipped on Jan 30. On Jan 24 the promise was to ship on Feb 5. On Feb 24 they promised to ship on March 11. On March 15 promised March 27. On April 16 they promised to ship on April 27. Their credibility in my eyes dropped down to zero. I repeatedly asked Build.com to cancel this order and refund my money (which they kept for no good reason for many months). I keep getting in response new promises to ship the ordered item, and no refund. I retained all their emails for possible legal proceedings.
I won’t back down in the face of this blatant breach of contract. I will get my money back via credit card or, if necessary, via the court of law. Naturally, I will never again do business with Build.com and warn others to avoid it: every name Build.com uses should be a red flag.
Inaccurate inventory, difficult to cancel order.
I placed an order for a product they said was in stock and would ship within a few days. They charged my card immediately. A week went by, then they sent an email that the item is back ordered for over a month! I found the item available on another site and tried to cancel the order at Build.com. They said they couldn't cancel unless their vendor allowed them to cancel. I had to talk to a manager and force the issue in order to cancel the order. Will not do business with them again.

I will never purchase here again. I made one purchase and returned it in the original unused condition and they took out about ten dollars. They did not return the whole amount. It's not worth calling over that, but I will voice my opinion in several places saying to stay away. I cannot trust this place.
Must be a SCAM COMPANY
I orgered a 2700 dollar washer and dryer and they sent me a 400 dollar chest freezer and now they are saying they gave me my item and I cant get my money back... Dont use this company!

I bought many products on Build,com and the quality was fine. I bought several different handles and knobs to see what we liked. When I went to return the ones we didn't use, the is a $7.00 charge to mail EACH ONE back and they all go back to different places so the refund is already $7.00 less than you paid. I waited 6 weeks to receive a refund on two items that totaled less than $8.00!! And, it showed they had received it and the refund would be issued a month later. I did not receive my refund until after I was on the chat line for close to 45 minutes asking where my refund was. She said they were "backed up" It is fraud and it was for less than $8.00!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
They are the worst order
They are the worst order. The package never came igot lost and now they charge me $150 refund fee because I never received the package and I supposed to send it back. Is that crazy?

This website (trustpilot) made me so fearful to order from this company. I checked their BBB score and it was completely opposite- which left me confused and reluctant to purchase. I have a kitchen remodel coming up and purchased some kitchen products (new Kohler faucet and soap/lotion pump) and crossed my fingers, hoping I wouldn’t have a problem. Well, I ordered on Friday, January 3rd and they were just delivered today, Monday, the 6th. Literally delivered the very next business day! That’s faster than Amazon delivers my packages at times! I purchased from the build with Ferguson website (I guess there is a large plethora of sites under the build.com umbrella). I think many times it’s easier and more common for frustrated customers to leave a review, which can skew perception. I never leave reviews, but if you are here like me, and skeptical to order from this company for the first time, I just wanted to share my positive experience!

Absolute nightmare to deal with. If you ever have an issue and need to do a refund or exchange, you are far better off throwing out the product and saving years of your life. They are impossible to deal with and simply don't care.
Build by Ferguson is a discount box store outlet
Don't take anything for granted with Build. I purchased 2 sets of Blum cabinet hinges from Build. I didn't inspect them when I received them. MISTAKE!! When it came time to install the hinges there weren't any mounting screws. I contacted Build and was told that it is written in with the description that the screws weren't included. I've mounted many, many hinges and never have I run across screws not included. Build is nothing more than a broker house distributing virtually everything for the home. Like any other box store, they save money wherever possible. Blum is a brand of cabinet hinge, and any other outlet includes the screws. I've purchased many sets of Blum hinges from Rockler and always get mounting screws included. You can't blame Blum; Build saves money by not including screws. Do yourself a favor and purchase Blum hinges from a reputable outlet such as Rockler. I know I will from now on.
Great searching tool
Their search system works extremely well. Checkout and wishlists work well, too. They often don't have the best price, but it is worth messaging with them to see if they can price-match. I've placed and received three orders with no issues, mostly for small parts like track heads but also one metal kitchen sink. That said, I haven't had to attempt a return yet.

I ordered an expensive item 20 days ago and the website indicated 3 in stock. I called and spoke with two reps who assured me it was shipped. It's still with their shipping company. I should have just bought from Amazon.
Insane packing/shipping
Adding my bad review to the others. Something crazy is going on at their shipping department. I received a light fixture crazily packed into a box that it doesn’t really fit in, with no padding. It’s obviously not the way that Ferguson received it from the manufacturer, but it also doesn’t seem like a returned item… just really confused on what is going on and why these choices were made. Fortunately the item appears to be undamaged (haven’t installed it yet) which is only a stroke of luck.
WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT EVER EXPERIENCED
Long unfortunate story, short. I would NEVER order from build by ferguson again! They shipped me a heavy vanity top that was broken into pieces and their support told me it was my problem. I did get a refund for the price, but they did NOT send Fedex back to collect it, so it became OUR RESPONSIBILITY to hire the pickup of this heavy piece, taken to the landfill. I cannot believe they would do their customers like this, but I learned a valuable lesson and am trying to keep you from doing the same.
